First, elucidate what point you intended for that rudy, cartoonized version of the USA to make?

That "City dwellers are inherently (more) likely to have more mental illness than fly-over Deplorables." ?!?

My figure is the actual, nearly present day depiction of incidence of mental illness per geographic regions in the USA.

Compare and contrast and draw your own conclusions.

My point: Actual empiric research is better than cartoons pulled from the internet's ass or unwarranted conclusions drawn from very old preliminary research on animal behaviors in an unnatural laboratory environment, extrapolated to human society.

I reside at home, with family, in a flyover state capital city. I used to publish bio info with my avatar along with my own face, but I have been "in hiding" due to certain OPP member's past behaviors, which I found disconcerting and unsettling.
First, elucidate what point you intended for that ... (show quote)

I have to agree with Singularity here.

Well, this is awkward. You guys seemed eager to debate l*****t talking points, appearing to attribute me as the origin of said notions?! I chose the guy with left leaning claims so you could refute those left leaning notions you disagree with.

That process is, technically, a debate. I offered a suggestion for fairly presenting each other's views and objections.

All of a sudden now, you won't be trapped into debate, you say.

Well, then.

Okay.

Bye.

Off the subject a little:

Do you think the democrats had any honest intention in all of their issues to demand delayed v****g of Kavanaugh? Do you think they actually cared about her at all; Dr Ford that is? Do you think her story was to be believed or was credible? Do you see ANYTHING dishonest in how the democrats approached this whole thing? I mean, really, what is your take on the entire Kavanaugh thing from nomination to v**e?

I don't know what to think or who to trust in the arena of politics! Safest assumption is everybody has a personal agenda and an ax to grind, to the point there is no time to attend to the business and needs of the People.

I agree a bit more with liberal ideals, but politics is anything but ideal.

I would rather debate the person who made the video with no holds barred. What you presented in my opinion is unworkable. Getting a group of people to stop and debate each point of the video without it getting ugly and cumbersome seems impossible. I could and would viciously attack the points of the video, but the person defending those points would likely say, they were not necessarily his points.

You're right, of course! It's a crazy world!

Right. My idea was to leave the personality out of it and attack or defend the idea or ideas one chose to address.

It already IS cumbersome and ugly.

But, it's been a while now, and I've lost steam as those who previously seemed interested do not seem to want to play this game anyway...

'Why do Democrats and Republicans see Kavanaugh in such different ways?'

There is the Left's view (NBC/CBS/ABC/CNN/PBS)
Then there is the Right view (FOX Cable News)

The Left absolutely have to foil Donald Trump having a 5-4 conservative slant on the Supreme Court. If they don’t have that, their activist judges in the lower courts cannot get away with continuing to dismantle American values and the rule of law.

This is not about Kavanaugh. They had a plan in place for everyone of the shortlisted candidates. It was Blasey-Ford for Kavanaugh, but there would have been a sleeper lined up for each of the others. If the Left had won the SCOTUS battle and Trump had moved on to another candidate, the whole circus would have been repeated.

That whole episode is an example of a tactic from the Dems playbook and is called a “Wrap-up Smear”.

Here is a video from last year of Pelosi explaining to reporters how the Wrap-up Smear works:

“There’s two things I learned here: how in the tank the media really is for the liberal causes, and how far the left will go,” says Sen. Lindsey Graham about the Kavanaugh fight.

There is no point in reading MSM storylines about Kavanaugh, he had passed his test, the hearings were over - and then the Left pulled out their Joker. They genuinely believed they would win on this. Too bad.

Here is a video about the Mockingbird Media - in case you are not already awake about the Media being the propaganda arm of the Deep State.

Now, with the SCOTUS back up to strength, the dismantling of the Deep State can continue apace.

I hope you find a some remedial peace after these troubling delusions pass.

So good of you to pick those years. I would like to see what that would look like today. It most assuredly would look quite different these days. Since there are so many unhinged individuals at this time in our history.

Anger and disappointment are not inherently pathological mental states, although they can be kindled by inappropriate understanding of the nature of reality. Properly honed, focused and attended to, negatively emotional mind body states can be powerfully healing and useful in leading one and one's loved ones to greater wholeness.

Like when mwdegutis and I decided to love one another. Not saying it's easy, but it's possible.

Here is an example of "mental illness".
Someone gathers the facts on the Democrats corruption, and the failure of socialism/c*******m; and they still v**e for Democrats.
or;
Could it be a lack of good character?
or
Self serving in some way? (Being on the dole)

Differing primary values do not preclude goodness or good intentions. That and a lack of broader experience are a recipe for core misunderstandings.

We won't see any good in the other if we don't look for and accept it could be there.

I guess I need to dig deeper to find good in Democrats.
