When Americans over the age of, let us say, 45, look at any of the iconic paintings of America's Founders -- the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the signing of the Constitution, George Washington crossing the Delaware, any of the individual portraits the Founders -- what do they see?

They see great men founding a great country.

If you ask recent graduates of almost any American university what they see when they look at these paintings, chances are that they see something entirely different.

Do the l*****ts who promote such false history not realize that the destruction of the USA will destroy them at the same time? What secret do they have that will protect them from the destruction they are fomenting?

Good point, but I don't think they think with a clear head, or that far ahead.

Perhaps if we had not been so adamant in my generation of our "greatness" our youth would not be quite so adamant of our r****m and other historic and present wrongdoing. The t***h is as always somewhere in between. In many ways in founding the first democratic republic of the second millennium of the Common Era was very great indeed, but the non enfranchisement of women and people of color was NOT a great action. Nor was the slaughter of the natives of this place a great action. Perhaps from here, once all historic wrongs are redressed, we might seek middle ground.

Eric Hoffer wrote in the True Believer that those who seek change are those who perceive the present and themselves irredeemably flawed. Because they view the world in this manner, they seek to destroy not only the present state of things, but most fervently themselves and everything that makes them who they are.

VM, you are measuring the activities of mankind of 250 yrs ago with the values of today. The world was a very different place back then. It is not sound reasoning the compare the two eras and that is where the left always gets it wrong. S***ery has been a product of civilization for 1000s of years. Can't you see that? America was not the last country to have s***es. Do you think the Italian's have the same guilt about having s***es as you do. As an American, I have no guilt what-so-every. 650.000 Americans died freeing the s***es ; isn't that enough payment? yet, you liberal want to make white men pay for the acts of forefathers of 160 years ago. Not one s***e is living today. Yet, you progress liberals want to race bait and have convinced b****s that you are for them when if fact, you just want to control them and keep them riled up and get their v**e. They v**e for you and you control them. You white liber progressives are the cause and the problem and cause of the race problems in this country. Your race baiting falls on deaf ears or, it is losing it's impact because it is being over used by the MSM and the c*******t, an ideology to which left wing progressives subscribe.

Somehow they believe that they will have freedom and social e******y and they will enjoy the same standard of living ass they now enjoy. They must have some kind of government in mind that has yet to show it's utopian head. In a pure socialistic society there will be rich and poor. There will be elites. The elites will rule; not the people. Woody Wilson preached for a one party system. It was he who started the US on steroids to socialism and FDR to a triple shot.

Indoctrination has replaced what we once called " education". Our language also has evolved in such a manner that causes the definitions of many of the words we use to be understood in a context that confirms the indoctrination.
For instance the word "s***e", is simply an ancient form of the term " employee". But anytime the word s***e is spoken today, it consequently provokes the average individual to think of the negative aspect and the negative context.
But the t***h is, that every single human that works for someone else, is a s***e. And whoever is responsible for the signing of your paycheck, is your master.

The indoctrination of this generation has and is creating a population of literal lemmings who are being led into the darkest crevices of oblivion.

The fact that many of the founding fathers owned s***es, has become a tool to further indoctrinate anyone who considers themselves victimized. They are then absolutely blind to the t***h that had history not occurred just exactly as it has, with every single past event both negative and positive , they would certainly not be at this moment enjoying a country that is certainly the only place left upon earth where there is even the hope of freedom.

Dennis Prager wants Americans to continue to be gullible.
He would like our youth to ignore the fact that history was written by the winners.

This past weekend I was at the California Railroad Museum. In it, there is a giant painting of the "Silver Spike Ceremony". This was the event that honored the placing of the silver rail spike to commemorate the completion of the t***scontinental railroad, in Utah. It's the very spot where the Union Pacific and Central Pacific railroads met.

The painting portrays wealthy white men in their sartorial splendor at the gathering. Next to the painting is a real photograph of the event. It shows tattered and dirty white men. Their are no minorities. Next to the photo are the stories of those folks who were told to scram before the picture was taken......the Chinese who labored long and hard, in the face of danger, to complete the project.

The museum makes a point of noting the sanitized rich white version of history.

I'm sure Praeger would be pissed to know that liberals again let the "cat out of the bag".

I'm with Bill Maher. Americans need to be less gullible and more cynical.

Haven't read him in a long time (but then for me there is a long time behind and not much in front) think I will look at a couple of his books again. Thanks for mentioning his name.
