Ohh your hopes so high that he will be cast out..

It is proper for them to interview both people and decide from there... Reckless not to do so but its far from over.. They postponed it until next week and Grassley suggests last-minute Kavanaugh hearing could be canceled if accuser doesn’t accept invite...

Thats what is actually going on..

Linda, You are correct... I looked for the headline/story this AM when I found no other story saying they were correct..

Nothing, the story I read is gone and not to be found.. So CNN has now PO me with no attempt yet for an explanation..

Everything I have read is as you post.. accuser wanting FBI to investigate before she testifies.. Cancellation only as a remote possibility, still depending on outcome..

While we both know I will not like anyone that trump get admitted to the SC, my disapproval of Kavanaugh is not about what he may or may not have done in high school..

The strongest objection is his well publicized stand that the President can not be wrong. must be obeyed as if he were a dictator..

how would conservative feel if the was proposed for a Democrat sitting President?

But, I am sorry about the erroneous post.. have a nice day..

Dr. Ford is a well respected tenured professor at Stanford, her reputation is well established. The Senate and American people deserve to her from her if she is willing to testify under oath and then make a determination of wether she or Kavanaugh is telling the t***h, and if the t***h should preclude his addition to the nations highest court.

Dr. Ford (who was not a "Dr." when the "alleged" event occurred) was in a room at a party with 2 boys (who were "allegedly" drunk).

1. She was 15, was she drinking?
2. Why was she in a room with 2 boys?
3. The were "allegedly" 4 boys at the "party", but only 2 in the room. Why was she at a "party" with 4 boys at age 15?
4. All of a sudden, she remembered that there was another girl at the "party". A "party" with 4 boys and 2 girls?
5. Why a "bathing suit" under her clothes at a "party"?
6. Did she have a "change of mind"?

Judge Kavanaugh is a well respected judge and his reputation is also well established. He has been "investigated" at least 6 times in the past. She HAS been invited to testify "under oath" to tell her story. We're still waiting...

The Demoncrats have used this ploy of "character assassination" in the past.
The preponderance of evidence is on the side of Kavanaugh.
The "accuser" is a l*****t who h**es President Trump.
The accuser's lawyer is a far l*****t who h**es President Trump.
The murdering jackass Ted Kennedy has used "character assassination" to prevent a Supreme Court appointment in the past, the Demoncrats #1 rule in their playbook.
Bill Clinton did much worse than what Kavanaugh is "accused" of WHILE HE WAS IN OFFICE! Demoncrats "accepted it as "part of his "personal life".
Hillary and Obama were both liars and thieves, Demoncrats LOVE them.

It truly is a shame that supposed adult, intelligent Democrat Senators would stoop so low and defame the Senate as they are. "Trump Derangement Syndrome" is running rampant in the Senate. If liberals weren't "brain damaged", they would v**e every incumbent Demoncrat participating in this farce out of office!

Frostie, your previous post had me rummaging for verification without success. However, this post of yours again shows the quality of your character in admitting to falling for an apparently false headline. But, then, the quality of your character has always been evident to me.

Let's examine what you have done here: you've convicted Kavanaugh without proof and you've vindicated Ford without a hearing. You call Kavanaugh a squirming weasel who advocates torture and predatory towards the rights of women to legally murder their unborn children. Ford, to you, is the caricature of every perfect woman yet some who know her have a different opinion. Kevin, people who believe and condemn without proof like you do are a greater threat to America than every foreign enemy we have fought. The stuff that comes out of your mind that you put to pen is dripping with a******l and dangerous h**e. Many of us don't want to engage with you in dialogue because it makes us feel dirty. There seems to be a darkness around you. Yet this is only my own opinion and observation.

Very well put, Mike.

If it was such an unconscionably big deal, Diane Feinstein should have reported it the moment she had wind of it. But she waited until the 11th hour.

That act of delaying examination and confrontation alone is an affront to all true victims of predators. For it minimizes the legitimacy of their positions to a political ploy. Where is the liberal outcry over that?

Diane Feinstein should be sent a bill to pay for every hour, of everyone involved, that the government spent on vetting Kavanaugh past the moment when she heard of this discretion until the moment she raised it. That would be the only fair thing to do at this point. As long as these corrupt politicians are not held accountable for their misdeeds, America will be a banana republic. Dems seem all too willing for that to be the case, rather than sacrifice their socialistic ideologies. That in itself is despicable.

If the accusation was so outrageous, she should not have sat on it. Using this information as a political weapon was a despicable waste of the taxpayers time and money: she should be held accountable!

And if the accuser is considered to have born false witness, she should be sued for defamation of character.

If Mr. Kavanaugh is considered guilty, it should be weighed in the perspective of the facts of his history. Or, we should start purging our government of any and everyone who ever did something intolerable from the age of 17 on.

Which may not be a bad idea. Either that or liberals are, once again, just displaying their double-standards and hypocrisy.

P.S. You are right about K. It felt too "dirty" to respond directly to him, so I was glad I could reply to your post instead.

And another thing. The liberals "deep concern" may not ring so hollow if they had shown the same "utter moral outrage" in support of the ladies who accused Bill Clinton of actually doing the deed, as an adult, in a position of authority. Such t***sparent hypocrisy!

And another thing: Ever hear a liberal complain about Keith Ellison? Do they want an FBI investigation to check out his girlfriend's or her son's story?? Does Mazie Hirono want Keith Ellison to shut up so that his GIRLfriend can be heard??

NO, NO, and NO!!!!

Smedley,

Do you really need a reason why Democrats are alarmed about kavenaugh?

we do not expect to be happy with any GOP appointment. even if McConnell had not stolen the appointment that was meant for President Obama..

But have a quick look at the major issue for me..

https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2018/09/04/kavanaugh-trump-mueller-executive-power-219634

n Tuesday’s opening session of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings, Democratic senators expressed concern about the nominee’s views of p**********l power. Chris Coons put it bluntly when he said President Donald Trump had nominated Kavanaugh with “an eye towards protecting himself.” Mazie Hirono piled on, arguing that Trump’s choice is not surprising given that the president is “committed to self-preservation every minute, every hour, every day.”

These senators are right to be concerned. Kavanaugh seems to hold dangerous views about executive power, views that could undermine special counsel Robert Mueller’s inquiry, ultimately shielding Trump from a criminal investigation. Indeed, Kavanaugh’s writing suggests that, as a justice, he might reject important Supreme Court case law and support the president’s right to refuse to turn over evidence to Mueller’s team. He might also hold that a president can refuse to answer questions in a criminal investigation. In other words, if Kavanaugh is appointed, Trump could have newly found constitutional privileges to undermine Mueller’s investigation.

Yes she should, she should have every aspect of her life revealed from High School, to date.

I also believe that every single one of the Senate Judiciary Committee should have every aspect of their lives from High School up to 2018. If any one of them smoke pot or any thing that looks or smells tainted, they are null and void for sitting on any judicial committee.
