Exactly why they were smart enough to add procedures that allow amendments to the Constitution. IMO the Supreme Court Justices should not serve for life.

I agree!! They are no longer politically safe or Neutral.
The appointment to a lifetime service was so that there would be consistency of the rulings and subsequent laws that followed of rulings. Anymore its all for politics and nothing for constitution.
Then again I believe every single member of Congress Senate and the Supreme Court should have term limits, true term limits I mean.
