It's not about freedom of speech in the least...the REAL reason he wants to have security clearances is because he can make megabucks from contractors once he leaves the government job and goes into the private sector. Having a security clearance is a requirement for high-paying jobs with private companies that consult with, or compete with contracts from, the federal government, like Lockheed Martin and Raytheon. People with security clearances also have the ability to leak classified and top-secret information to the press. James Comey leaked information to a friend, who gave it to the New York Times! Should he still have security clearance? I think not, but he still does. Peter Strzok was FIRED by the FBI - still has clearance. Many others, too. These people no longer work for the government, go into the private sector and then still have all this classified information at their fingertips to do wh**ever they want with! These "public servants" come away from their government jobs as multi-millionaires, some even billionaires because they still have their clearances.

Trump is the POTUS, snowflake, he can say anything he wants, he can even reveal to the American people classified information if he's a mind to, if he thinks it would serve national security and the people.

I recall his predecessor running off at the mouth every damned day, mostly talking about himself and how he, nobody else, was going to, Inshallah, create a new America in his own image. When something went wrong and threatened to make him look bad, he blamed everybody else; when something went right, he took all of the credit and patted himself on the back.

It really bothers me that I was so stupid as to keep my mouth shut about my clearance and what it was about. It is Brennan talking away and all those years I didn't need that clearance that I didn't talk about my job that bothers me. I was never fearfull that my clearance would be yanked if I did talk about my job but what I was doing was as illegal as hell but the Russians were doing the same thing to our military when we were doing it to them. Again, I really enjoyed being able to work on them since we did have clearances. I don't know when I lost my clearance but since I got out of the Army in 1957 I imagine it wasn't long after that but I held back for years.
