That's correct.

There is a middle ground on use of resources and preservation. That middle ground has been over-run by Democrats that support their own re-e******n more than they support jobs for their citizens.

I have a family member who's family company used to service sawmill equipment in Oregon. That company crashed years ago.

I'm sorry you've been hit so hard.

Hopefully the EPA reforms will allow some semblance of normality to come back to your industry.
The best thing that could happen here would be the total stop to log exports. The timber barrons would have no choice but to open sawmills and make lumber that they could export. The people took a back seat to corporate proffits in this case and the focus was put on the spotted owl and the federal timber supply..

Yep, That is what Wisconsin congressman and House Speaker lyin ryan posted in a tweet noting that “A secretary at a public high school in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, said she was pleasantly surprised her pay went up $1.50 a week … she said [that] will more than cover her Costco membership for the year.” Then he realized his tweet was a bonehead error and he quickly removed the tweet. It was a gaffe, as famously defined by commentator Michael Kinsley: “A gaffe is when a politician inadvertently tells the t***h.”

The middle class and working Americans did NOT need a tax cut, they need an increase in their pay. Which is not happening to any significant degree with trumpy's and the repulsives' tax cut for the wealthy and big corporations.

for the most part the big corporations took their tax savings as a bonus for themselves. The worker was left out of the bonus

Yep, CEO bonuses and stock buybacks. The FRAUD on the American worker!

Republicans and corporations tried to convince Americans that their employees would be rewarded. But only 4 percent of workers have gotten bonuses or raises.

Trumpsters can spin it anyway they want, but the promised bonuses and wage increases were a LIE!

We made a lot of progress from 2008 to 2016 just to see it go down the drain. Way too many people think that is great. . The rich got an unneeded tax break when the middle class worker is who should have gotten the break. Hell the rich are going to get an even bigger break. It is all being paid for with borrowed money and the national debt is growing. People want action but they keep falling for a line of BS from politicians who are not sincere but have a plan to get rich from their position in public office.. Unethical and illegal but still done all the way to the top. We have scandals and investigations and we are supposed to discredit all investigators who speak the t***h. H**e is winning. patriotism is being narrowed and redefined. All the while we are headed to financial ruin. Our closest allies don't trust us and they are retaliating. How in Hell is all this going to Make America Great again? Costs are going up and job losses are ignored. The president wants us to boycott Harley Davidson. . We may all wish America would be normal again. I already do.

I for one am THRILLED that the American people put a stop to the "progress" made from 2008-2016. Many shuddered at what we were progressing to, and could not v**e for Clinton because she was in line with those same policies. Had she been elected we would've been dancing down the road to full socialism, while at the same time importing tens or hundreds of thousands of more dependents in the form of "refugees" and i*****l a***ns. And taxes would be up. Again. And job opportunities would be down. Again. And there would be no new educational opportunities. Again. And we'd have to deal with even more weird social programs, leading to more degeneracy and more cities covered in tent cities and poop. Again. So really? So very glad that dark period of 2008-2016 is behind us.

Really? My pay check is higher. So are the pay checks of my daughters. And some friends. The only ones not seeing bigger checks are the high earners.

I am worried that I will lose financially like I did in 2007. Things were red hot then wham housing died..I buy a lot of metal roofing products and I am paying 15% more for the same materials than I did just one year ago. Asphalt roofing products are more now and lumber is going up. Trade war and tariiffs are making these commodities increase in price and the prices will never go down. This is causing me to raise prices and lose some bids. I am currently too busy but I was at the time of the crash. I feel it coming and I trust my gut. I don't know when the bottom is going to fall out and I hope it doesn't but if national debt keeps rising and interest rates go up we have a situation. Gas prices seem stable but if we see a big jump like in 2008 watch out. I paid $4.75 a gallon in the last months of the Bush presidency. My best investment was locking gas caps. I am not affected by Muslims Q***rs or Mexicans. There are not many in my county. Isreal is our only friend in the middle east I will agree. .If we leave Nato and end our military presence in Europe someone is going to start building an empire. Not something I want to see. That's about it for now. thanks for replying and your comments are not any thing I will argue with.

Since you are anticipating a replay of 2007-09, then you should be taking steps to prepare for it, by not over extending yourself. All booms eventually end. I expect another two years of expansion. I believe we are in the early stages of the cycle. After Trump is reelected I will worry. Right now firms are still having difficulty finding sk**led workers, but they are not yet paying up for them. There is still a lot of slack in the economy. Still a lot of empty buildings dotting the landscape. The trade worries and Turkey are slowing the recovery and delaying the end of the cycle. That is all good.

Very soon we could easily over heat.

Everyone employed by my family's businesses received a raise and a bonus.

And our Houston location got two brand new f350 field service trucks while our Austin headquarters replaced the entire fleet.

Per diem pay went from $35 a day to $40 and mileage pay for those of us who use our personal vehicles to travel went up to 65 cent per mile.

Sorry you missed out on it....................... Goober.

The loggers made more profit by selling to log exporters than they made from selling to the sawmill.

It is easier to ship logs than lumber. Maybe the logs are used for something other than lumber. Maybe for veneer.

LOL, wolfbait...I sold my company over 3 years ago, took a 10 year note on the real estate and RETIRED. There was nothing to miss out on. The whole Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was a repulsive sham that time will prove. Like debata, you must be among the lucky 4%.

Or perhaps you only see misery because it's what you want to see.

The economy is significantly better than 2 years ago.

That's a fact.

Then why have wages not increased enough to amount to anything. The economy for the middle and woring class is still running on credit just to maintain their status quo and keep their heads above water. Why do you think 60% of US households could not come up with $500.00 in an emergency? Oh, yeh, you and those of your ilk think it's because they are lazy.

Try looking at those that are struggling economically everyday, instead of revering those that were born with silver spoons in their asses. the economy got waaay better for them with trumpy's and the repulsives' tax cuts for the wealthy and big corporations. Profits are up but workers wages ARE NOT!

Wages are up.

Perhaps you should open your eyes and look around.

Or, perhaps you're just upset because Trump is succeeding, which means you are wrong.
