I think your exaggerating a little bit. For instance, if your paying 15% more for material and your losing bids because of it, doesn't that mean your not as good of a business person as the guy you lost the bid to? I mean, doesn't your comptetor have to pay the same increase for his materials as you do, shouldn't that put you on an even playing field? The tariffs haven't affected the price of roofing materials yet, so don't try that nonsense on us, the prices havent gone down from the hurricanes last year in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico. I am self employed and have seen a huge increase in the last year compared to any of the past years under President Obama and the tax cuts are also welcomed by me and my wife.

We haven't and won't leave NATO, so don't go overboard on that, and we have way more freinds in the middle east than Israel.

I get so s**k of EVERYTHING being President Trump's fault. Look at all the good things he has done for the country, just open your eyes and more importantly, your mind, and you will see he has taken a common sense approach to solving some problems this country has had for many years.

Trumps approach is quite uncommon. Can you disagree with that?

I actually believe we will survive. I don't think we will have a second term with Trump.I do think who ever becomes president next will preside over a congress in shambles and a huge debt.

Tom, since when has Congress not been in shambles and the debt not been huge and growing with spending out of control?

The only out, is firing the FED, and abolishing the "debt". Print and create US notes, without "debt" tied to them.
Not going to happen; so the indentured servants of america will continue to be locked into unpayable perpetual "debt".

I am sorry but there is no way that is any thing but a perverted way to describe what the tax system is or should be.

Do you honestly believe every one should pay the same amount of money in taxes?

I say if you find things wrong with our system.
If you feel that the solotion lays in sone having unlimited resources.
While others are left with out reasonable opportunities to have access to resources.
Will only end in failure for all.

Some how I can not come to believe that is a true part of who you are.
I say people like you & I have every right to lay out what it is we would like to see or have in the way the world is run.

If we (You & I & others like us) do not find in our self's the means too bring sanity & reason to the situation we find our self in.
It will only mean we are in total agreement with what we see there now.

WE ARE NOT AT THAT LEVEL OF AGREEMENT.

Two many of us wish to play the political game.

Lead by others who chose their own rewards.
Taking the rewards with out meeting the obligations & responsibility's needed.

Why do so many on the right have this fear that they can not play on an even playing field?

I am just arogant enough to feel that I play any game on any field by what ever rules chosen.
At least I feel that is how I should look at it.

But who should deside the rules of the game?
In this case I say we all should have a oersonal input.

The last time anything close to that happening was when JFK was POTUS and we both know what happened to him...

The use of debt is the big divider we all face.
Those with assets win.
Those with out assets lose.

At it's beat most are lucky to break even.

We are playing on an uneven field.
Getting more uneven every day.

We are on a path where all of the wealth is goin to end up in ever fewer hands.
We need to make some changes that can reverse that path.(Even if in a small way)

We have been on this steady path to the personal down fall of many.
We only need to make a few well thought out moves to alter that path.

An increase in jobs & wages would be the best way.

In the private sector fails in doing it's part.
Raising taxes on higher incomes is the next thing to do.

Not much chance of that happening with Big Money in control.

Floyd, this may not be an illustration that is comfortable for you to see, but it is, nevertheless, pretty accurate. First, everyone doesn't pay the same amount in income taxes. Half the people pay no income taxes at all. Secondly, If you confiscated the incomes of the top .01 percent of people, you would not be able to get the job done. The middle class pays a big share of the burden. Why? Because that's where the bulk of the money is. In my opinion, the big problem is that big government is too big and spending too much money while producing nothing. The EPA, the DOE, the Dept of Agri., to name only a few of the big bureacracies, is costing way too much money and doing nothing. These sponges should be totally revamped and possibly done away with. It is a fact that in a successful capitalistic economy, there are going to be some who get rich. Instead of being jealous of these folks, you would be better served to accept this and do your best to succeed. The top 1% are not the same people every year. People move in and out of the top for many reasons. Free market capitalism affords the best opportunity for people to become successful than any system ever devised. There may be negatives, but focusing on the positives rather that the negatives will prove to be the best plan. Good luck and God Bless.

It's awfully difficult to convince someone who thinks bigger government is always the answer that spending is the problem. Keep trying though. We're with you.
