I have taken several oaths to support and defend the Constitution, any person or corporation seeking to undermine it or my nation is by default, my enemy.

Not even close, BigMike. That is no different than another stating anyone who lies like FOX is an enemy to God and humanity. Those are the type of statements Mr. Wilson pointed out as empty or inane. Disappointing, I must say, as I figured you better than that.

Unless, of course, you were joking...and, I saw no emoticons suggesting you were.

With all due respect to Mike I find him to be like 99% of all Trump supporters as they hang on every word Trump bellows out concerning "Clinton News Network". Like single minded ants on a hill taking all directions from the queen.

What are some examples of CNN news being biased or lying?

Here’s a small, partial list:
•The “Hands up don’t shoot” narrative.
•The Gold Shower story.
•In their CNN/ORC Polls they had polled at least 7% More democrats than republicans three times in a row. In their first debate poll CNN sampled 41% Democrats compared to just 26% Republicans, while for the second debate, CNN sampled 36% compared to 27% Republicans and for the third Democrats accounted for 36 per cent of the 547 registered v**ers surveyed , while only 29 per cent of respondents were Republicans.
•They edited the Charlotte shooting video to make it look unjustified.
•CNN Selectively editing Milwaukee shooting victim’s sister so it makes it look like she was calling for peace. They later apologies on air for editing it to suit their narrative.
•CNN getting caught feeding answers to a focus group; watch the reporter say “America is great because America is good.” And the black woman nods her head.
•CNN Has a history of cutting off whoever criticizes Hillary Clinton.
•CNN Claiming Audio Tape of Hillary Clinton is f**e.

So we’re going to break this down really quick. Lets say that CNN was an enemy of the state, why? Well, it’s because they are biased. Why is this a bad thing, others like FOX are fairly biased as well, so it must be because not only are they biased but because they are biased and disagree with the right wing views. So, if CNN were the enemy of the state, their charge would be ‘views that disagree with the president.' So to put that into perspective, at least 50% of the country would also be considered enemies of the state.

This question is the perfect place to get this point across, as it isn’t an issue of left vs right. That false dichotomy has been destroying our country ever since the Reagan administration. We are all Americans, so does it really make your next door neighbor an enemy if he v**ed differently from you? Both ‘sides’ are pushing so hard to demonize and dehumanize the ‘other side’, and why? Are we not all humans, do we not all share in the same hopes and fears and goals and dreams? The only difference, and I need to emphasize this, the ONLY difference between someone on the left and someone on the right is what we think the best solutions would be. That is what truly made America great, people of differing views on solutions and achieving goals working together to reach those same goals.

How are we supposed to work together at this point when the false dichotomy between the two ‘sides’ is so strong that your average person on either ‘side’ is so full of animosity and venom that they’d not flinch if the other side were brutally murdered? I try to have a discussion with someone on the left, I slightly disagree with what they are saying, and suddenly I’m one of the ‘others’ and I get called a r****t sexist bible- thumping moron and anything else they’ve been trained to use as an insult toward someone on the right. I do the same with someone on the right and get the same result, I’m an i***tic godless baby k*****g gun grabbing Muslim-loving liberal. People have been taught for so long that anyone who disagrees is an enemy, that those enemies are all the same, and that there’s no room for middle ground. These days the self given title of ‘independent’ is meaningless, it typically means that the person saying it is polarized but resists the party on their side for not being polarized enough. This false dichotomy prevents communication, prevents discussion and actual solutions and actual progress. We’ve gone from moving forward as a country, being the world leaders in innovative ideas and progress both scientifically and idealistically, to being a stagnant country in a semi-permanent tug of war for power.

I wanted to run for congress in 2018, I ended up not doing it simply because I don’t have the funding to successfully run an independent campaign, but as part of that goal I took on a mission; I started regularly talking to people I disagree with, regularly having discussions with people on all sides of the political spectrum, and I’ve learned a lot more than I thought I would. Even I’ve been guilty in the past of dehumanizing others who disagree and lumping them all in together. The most important thing I’ve learned, for the most part the ‘sides’ are meaningless. We all want the same things, we all want our kids to grow up healthy and educated, we all want out homes to be safe and prosperous, we all want our lives to feel meaningful. All of the energy we put into casting blame, into pointing the finger and finding a villain, into gaining support for our ‘side’ by creating outrage at the other ‘side’…. If we put a fraction of that energy into simply talking, working together to find individual solutions for individual problems, we really could be great(er).

I agree with most of the author's sentiments. I think, tho, that CNN has gotten themselves into the "f**e news" category by being caught STAGING "news". This goes beyond slanted or biased reporting. In fact it goes beyond reporting to production. And as far as talking to liberals, personally I'll talk to anyone who is willing to have rational and polite discourse. And i do talk to a few liberals about politics. Not too many because so many have decided they "h**e" Prez Trump. When i ask them why, its all emotional about his personality traits. When i ask if they know him personally, they say they've seen enough. So its all good and fine to talk about all wanting the same things, which I've always believed and have posted on OPP on several different threads. BUT it's extremely difficult to have any rational discourse with emotion driven people. And for a long time the dems have used emotion to control their base. I think that's why so many rational people on both sides are walking away from the drama and just intend to cast their v**es with no fanfare.

Why then do you support the disrespect of the 1st amendment? If Trump could he would abolish the 1st amendment. If you have taken several oaths to support and defend the constitution then why do you abort the 1st amendment? Explain yourself.
