Post columnist Robert Kagan marked the anniversary Wednesday by connecting the dots from Vladimir Putin’s aggression against Russia’s democratic neighbor — and the response to it by the United States and the rest of the West — to the many challenges facing the liberal world order.

So, if it was a full scale invasion, why did Russia not just take ALL of Georgia???

Kind of true, but they allowed a radical regime to remain, although, somewhat altered. I have friends from there. They welcomed the Russian forces.

I do not know the end result or the current govt relationships..
My opinion is that if the populous is OK with the changes, we should not mess with the changes..
