I was leaving the Mandalay Bay walking back...and taking the tram to the Excalibur....I was so lucky....everyone I was with was kept in that restaurant for 10 hours ! I missed it by 5 minutes....went back to my hotel...my experience was quite boring....I got lucky...it's amazing what 5 minutes will do....I started getting phone calls...that all hell is breaking loose....the next day I had to go back to the Mandalay Bay for a meeting...the tram was closed down....I walked...it was like a morgue...groups of people crying...very sad...I just wanted to get out of there...it was truly depressing....I left Tuesday morning looking up at the windows of the Mandalay Bay....as a side note...I was meeting with people from all over the world....Denmark, Australia.....some young kids...they looked like they saw a ghost when I saw them Monday...they just can't comprehend how these things go on here...they don't deal with this stuff very often
