I agree. From a culture perspective, I think Islam and Christianity are pretty much the same thing. They share the same roots and they both have a range of factions from extreme fundamentalism to more c*********d "secular" factions. It just so happens that the world dominated by Christian culture modernized far more rapidly resulting in a larger portion of Christians evolving into more secular societies. We can still find caches of Christian fundamentalists, like the Amish people who refuse to modernize and are abusive toward women.
