Let's begin with a word from Alexander Hamilton or James Madison:

“Every unbiased observer may infer, without danger of mistake, and at the same time without meaning to reflect on either party, or any individuals of either party, that, unfortunately, PASSION, not REASON, must have presided over their decisions.” –Alexander Hamilton or James Madison, Federalist No. 50

And let's also look at the Declaration of Independence,

"...Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and t***sient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed."--Thomas Jefferson, in the Declaration of Independence.

Ben Franklin said, "“I agree to this Constitution, with all its faults — if they are such; — because I think a general government necessary for us, and there is no form of government but what may be a blessing to the people, if well administered; and I believe further, that this is likely to be well administered for a course of years, and can only end in despotism, as other forms have done before it, when the people shall become so corrupted as to need despotic government, being incapable of any other.” (Speech made in the Constitutional
 Convention, 1787)

John Adams wrote that “There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide,”

The Founders’ intent at the national level was a representative republic. The word democracy is not mentioned in the Constitution. Most of the Founders distrusted pure democracy. Some had been frightened by Shays Revolt and equated democracy with mob rule. Others were convinced by Madison that different factions would come together until they formed a majority, and then take advantage of those who were not members of their coalition. In fact, Madison showed that throughout history, this phenomenon had destroyed every experiment in democracy.

Now, I plead to the Democratic Party as well as dissenters in the Republican part to judge President Trump fairly.

I declare, I v**ed for Trump and am not surprised at the "mob's" response. I am not surprised that the mob is attempting to destroy the President of the United States through their passion. They have made their point. I get it. But what we are witnessing is failure of logic as well as a breakdown of reason. This is what destroys democracies. Israel, Athens, Sparta, all were destroyed because of the passions of the factions.

If the story of Trump was spoken, without his name, a different result would happen. But because Trump is in the news, the drunk run for their drink, because they need to take a jab at Trump. But Trump is just a man. A man who has made some mistakes as we all have. But he learns from his mistakes and he does not repeat those mistakes. He has an overbearing personality, and he is ready for the fight. Right or wrong he will fight to the bitter end. Because of this quality, I v**ed for him, and I support him. However, I am a fair man. I have disagreed with my president on a variety of issues but still support him.

I appreciate your post. You are obviously a thinking man.i respect your point of view too but I think this situation has gone beyond party.
I do not support calls for impeachment, that would divide the country along its obvious fault lines and create a constitutional crisis that our enemies would take advantage of and they have taken that too much already. This Presidency has been a series of wasted opportunities mixed with some colossal blunders that seem to come on an almost daily basis. Fortunately this political system has checks and balances and as long as his adopted party can keep the pressure on to make him to walk back his most egregious mistakes we may muddle through until the end of his term.

If the Democrats cannot use logic and judge the President fairly, they are no better then a lynch mob, that k**led many people by mistake.

Do not gossip. Do you remember that rule? However, from what I have witnessed is that Gossip is spreading like a fire in the brush. What is the point of gossip? Gossip proves nothing, yet here we go again.

If you cannot prove a point, your credibility among the American People dissolves away. The economy is on the verge of a boom. Americans are returning to work and are gaining p***e in America. All of this due to one Donald Trump. He is breaking down the barriers that have suffocated the people for over thirty years. That is a major accomplishment.

Trump is making the equal, free again. If a person applies themselves in this country they will succeed. If you really want to be fair, and you support and defend the Constitution, you must be look at Trump in the light of an American Businessman taking on the Politicians.

Rand Paul tweeted this:

Sen. @RandPaul: "Trump derangement syndrome has officially come to the Senate. The hatred for the President is so intense that partisans would rather risk war than give diplomacy a chance."

Is that what the American people want? To risk war with the Russians or the rest of the world, risk war with each other, than to work out the problems we face? Liberal or Conservative, Republican or Democrat, Man or Woman, Black, Hispanic or white, every American strives for the same goal: To be left alone and live in peace with thy neighbors, given equal treatment, so they can succeed.

I believe in God. I believe in the Constitution. I believe in Donald Trump. And I believe if people come to their senses, and look closely at what Trump wants to accomplish, that people in their reasoning will see Trump the way I do. If you are angered against Trump, I understand your anger. But ask yourself in a sober manner and backdrop, why do I not like the president? Is it because of what he has done, or is because someone told you to h**e him?

Rumors are very powerful, and in dirty politics they can be used as disinformation. Disinformation is a dangerous sword, because disinformation can never be proven, yet it ignites the passion and emotions of people. Read my opening post at the damage disinformation when passion is ignited. It was either Hamilton or Madison who coined the quote, but the quote is so true.

Friends, Countrymen, Americans, know this: We human beings put a man to death, up on a cross, when we loved that man in the beginning of the week, he was dead on the cross by the end of the week. And that man that was put to death, was the Son of God. Trump is not Jesus, but Trump has picked up his cross, as much of a sinner as he is, and is marching forward. He has stumbled, like Christ has stumbled, when carrying the cross of America, but he is still marching on. I suggest we be like Simon, and help ease his pain.

Now is the time to ask each American this question, will you be like Caiaphas and Annas and charge Trump with a crime he did not commit? Or will you be like Pontius Pilate and be afraid of the Democrats? Or will you be like St. Peter and deny him? Will you be like St. John and just watch? Will you be like St. Paul and support him?

I am sorry to report that the lines are being drawn in the sand because of passion supporting a false narrative. Will you join those who bear false witness against Trump, or will you stand for Liberty and Justice?

When you pick up the paper today, or watch the news, I suggest each of us do some soul searching and judge Trump fairly. What would you do, that would be so different, that would reap the fruits of prosperity, not for self but for your fellow Countrymen and women. If you believe in e******y, treat Trump equally. If you believe in liberty and justice, judge trump with indisputable facts.

Do not be like Chuck Schumer who condemned an innocent man on the floor of the Senate before reviewing the true facts. If Americans cannot be slow to anger and slow to judgement, then Americans deserve to be o*******wn and destroyed. But if Americans can use temperament, and prudence, then Americans, which are the vast majority of us, will be great once again. We are a great people made up of the entire world. We can lead the world in prosperity and happiness. But what we cannot accept is simply, rumors and false accusations that undermine us.

You may h**e Trump, but I say to all, that words do, do damage. They influence decisions. They spark anger when peace was there. This breeds fear which causes action in the form of murder and war. Empathy of Trump is not enough. Sympathy is not enough. Liberals have their place in this nation. Conservatives have their place too.

I would prefer to have one liberal and one conservative as my advisors, than reporters from the media.

I think it is time that public hold the media responsible for their reporting. We should hold not only the media responsible, but should make a law that the media should only report facts and not opinion. And opinion should never trump facts.

For if we continue down this path of irresponsible accusations, then this will be true for us,

“Every unbiased observer may infer, without danger of mistake, and at the same time without meaning to reflect on either party, or any individuals of either party, that, unfortunately, PASSION, not REASON, must have presided over their decisions.”

Passion leads to fear. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to much suffering and that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. We were accustomed to handouts. Yet these handouts caused the economy to suffer. This suffering leads to depression. The depression leads to fear. That fear led to Anger. That Anger elected Trump that is now destroying the socialistic handouts. And many are revolting against the destruction of American Socialism. Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime. Evil rises to power easily, yet the righteous rises to power filled with strife. Democracy is built on the blood of the innocence and is k**led by thunderous applause.

Would you rather be equal where someone decides that e******y? Or would you rather be free, where you decide? Obama's administration and those who followed him, controlled what was considered equal. But Trump is making us free to be equal. Choose which do you want. Know this and remember, the mob wants to be ruled by those who will take care of them. Such was the example of ancient Israel. For Samuel said they did not need a king. They wanted a king, so Saul was chosen and anointed. Eventually the people rejected Saul and David rose to power. David was like Trump. But David sinned against God, and Israel through David's descendants revolted against David's rule. Eventually the Kingdom was divided and fell to Babylon.

Trump is not a king nor a dictator. But Trump's instincts even against the intelligence advisors, and against public opinion is right more than it is wrong. I trust that instinct more than I trusted the words of one Barrack Obama, George Bush, or Bill Clinton. When in fire, Gold is tested. Obama failed in the fire, so did Bush, Jr., and Bill Clinton.

Look we are all Americans, we must start believing that we are Americans. Not that we believe in the Democratic Republic, but that we are a family, as dysfunctional as it is. We are great and we will always be great, but we need to start showing that we are a true people! Honest people! Just people! God's people! We must stand for Justice and Freedom not division of the foolish.

Be just today when you wake up. You may impress yourself.

That is a very pessimistic view point, which seems to be based in depression or some sort of negative feeling. That's the passion I speak about. Although I respect your opinion, I am an optimist. I cannot accept that Trump made colossal blunders, for he is only a man. Not a God, and not a savior. The President of the United States does not write law and is in trusted to enforce the will of the people. That is enforce laws passed by Congress, with no reservation. Due to this reason, Presidents Clinton, Bush Jr, and Obama, picked and chose the laws they would enforce. Trump is the first president to enforce the law as Congress wrote and passed them. If the people are upset about the law, they must change it. Remove the representatives who do not jive with their will.

Until that happens, the law will not be changed but must be enforced. That is America! and that is our Democratic Republic. If you have a problem with the law, lobby to get the law changed. The executive department has the duty to enforce the law. Congress has the duty to write or change the law. And the Supreme Court has the duty to interpret the Constitution and judge the law. But it is up to the people to drive Congress. Like a car cannot operate without gas, Congress cannot act without the people. However if the people do not act, then a faction acts for them and all people suffer.

All I ask is what Samuel Adams asked the Continental Congress, to be fair. For months, the founding fathers argued whether or not to go to war with Britain. They had fear too. Yet they fought against King George and won. They took from the powers of the earth, the freedoms designed for the human race, and established a nation based upon the principles of the Earth. Thus, America was born. Now two centuries later, a president rises to power, with the same values of these principles. I am honored to witness his administration. Yet the crimes of the recent past have not been brought to justice. Trump is paving the way for that justice.

Do not worry about the rest of the world for the world will solve itself. Worry about the destruction of freedom and the restoration of freedom. Four recent presidents, wittingly or unwittingly destroyed the freedom of the people of America, to the point that Manufacturing left this country. But, America is the first nation, that industry and manufacturing is returning to this country. For most nations around the world, when manufacturing leaves, the country is doomed to die. Trump brought them back and America is no longer on life support.

What do you want? The government to decide how much money you will have, or do you want to make that decision? Do you want the government to tell you who you can marry or do you want the government to do that? Trump is for freedom, what are you for?

I fully agree with you. No one is right all the time and President Trump will not make the same mistake twice. He had done an outstanding job with all the obstacles thrown before him to make him stumble. He is on the right track to make American great again.

A most excellent post. As a student of history I appreciate you going back to the Founding Fathers for your sources, however I fear that you like so many of us are preaching to the choir. We who agree with you already revere the founding documents of the United States of America for their wisdom. The people who need to hear this, will not listen. They only care about the Constitution when they are out of power. Once they regain power, the Constitution is an obstacle to the exercise of that power.

I have never seen so much h**e come from a President such as this one. Yes he is still the President but he has made it clear that if you are not white, an immigrant(legal or not), a Democrat, a member of the media or anybody with a different opinion to his then he h**es the ground you walk on.

I will always respect the office of the Presidency but this President is a big disappointment now to the majority of Americans, according to polls.
His angry hostile d******e attitudes towards half his own countryman and all our international allies will be his legacy unless he can find Jesus or Bhuddha in the rest of his term.
Men can evolve from knuckle d**gging low brow behavior but this one sadly is a work in progress. To note this is not hatred or succumbing to reactive tribal party garbage throwing or wacky conspiracy theories.
Its based on the disgraceful, disloyal and palpably ignorant behavior that flickers across our screens on a daily basis. Most of us are not fools.

I can understand that. I can understand your point. But Trump is not a disappointment. I don't trust the polls, because those who work those statics can manipulate the numbers to define what they want to define. The only poll that will truly speak for the American public is that of who they v**e for this next e******n. In the midterm e******ns, we will see the movement of America. Are they for Trump or against him.

As far as his "angry hostile d******e attitude", what about a few things: The d******e attitude Obama/Eric Holder had on enforcing the Law especially the Protection of Marriage Act, IRS targeting conservative groups, etc. What Obama did to half the country, Trump has turned towards the other half. E******y right? No.

Your basis, is the portrayal of, the exploitation of, what the Media feels is disgraceful, disloyal and palpably ignorant behavior. Remember the swamp includes the soldiers in the Media. If the Media is for you, you can do anything. If the Media is against you, you are disgraced. To combat this bias, I usually want to witness the raw data. I attempt to base my statements on raw data not polls that are projected from a media agency. One example of this is the reason I supported the impeachment and at the time possible removal of Office of President Bill Clinton.

Digging into the testimony given at the trial with Kenn Starr, I felt as I still do, that Ken Starr was a rat for the questions he asked. But since the president was under oath, he perjured himself. Perjury is a crime. Yes, it is true, he apologized to the American public, but as I see it, where is the integrity of the court? So as a citizen, not under the pressure of politics, we all had to decide whether or not this crime of perjury should be forgiven or punished. I still feel he needs to be punished for that crime, but I feel that fate has accomplished that. So, I can forgive him today, where I couldn't back then. My reasoning would be if the President could commit perjury, then any citizen can. How many murderers, thieves, and rapists could now use as a defense today, perjury? This is the integrity I speak of. We must support the law, but at the same time we can show mercy. Eventually, I forgave him. The Senate at the time chose to forgive him and acquitted him of his crime.

Another example is the polls showing the results of the 2000 e******n. Talk about a Y2K deboccal. The results were narrowed down to Florida. Al Gore chose, after three recounts, to look for a fourth, in Democratic counties. In my opinion that was a mistake. He should have asked for a recount in Republican counties. If he had, maybe he would have won the e******n. He didn't do that instead he chose Democrat Counties and the numbers remained the same as they did in the previous counts. He conceded the e******n and Bush Jr. became president.

The media called the e******n at the time for Al Gore, yet they were incorrect. This is when I decided to look at the raw data, which takes time and takes effort. It is my civic duty as a citizen to be well informed to make an intelligent wise choice for my leaders. Since the 2000 e******n, I have found that the press, whether it be from ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN or Fox, I have found them to be wrong on a number of issues to include Trump. Realistically I am not a professional reporter, nor am I supposed to be. I am not an investigator, but can do research. I have found that Hillary Clinton has failed more times then she has won. I have also found that Trump has won more times then he has failed. In the 2016 e******n, Trump and the Republicans, spent less money for the campaign then Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and the DNC. That alone speaks volumes.

I have seen that during the Obama years, no one held his responsible for anything. Mitt Romney tried. He got Obama to admit responsibility for B******i. Yet he was not held responsible, instead Hillary Clinton resigned. What does that say to the American people? The Government is corrupt.

If one person is corrupt, and another person is corrupt, and a third is corrupt and we know it who do you believe? Which corrupt person do you trust?
If person number 1, who is corrupt is politically correct, and person number two is only politically correct if he needs to be, but still corrupt, and person number 3 doesn't care either way yet still corrupt; who do you v**e for?

But what if a raw fourth person, throws his hat in the ring. What if this person has a profession outside of the corruptness, and he is tough. Tough like Robert Kennedy who was known for being Ruthless. Who is also known to be vulgar at times and ready to fight. And shows the ability to get into the pit with the snakes and route them out. Would you support such a person?

Person #1, #2, #3, are any candidate that ran in 2016. Person #1 represents the far left and person #3 represents the far right. How can the average citizen win? Person #4 is obviously Donald Trump. During the Obama administration the military, the poor, the middle class, the rich, the business owners, were all hurt. Because of exercising Religious freedom, these people were attacked. Trump inherited this. It is true that Trump is President, however, President Trump is still a citizen like you and I. And if we get appalled at situations all over the world, don't you think he does too? A wise man is slow to anger and looks for a solution. Trump has shown this quality.

A prime example of this is when "Black L***s M****r" protested a "Neo N**i, KKK" demonstration last year. Donald Trump condemned both groups like a father who condemns both of his children when they fight each other. That's wisdom not politics. Yet one child complained to mommy, that the other child was not punished. But in my opinion Trump was right and just in his first statement, and all the statements thereafter on the issue. Yet the media, press, and others, refused to listen. As a result of the media bias, how many people were injured or k**led?

During the Obama administration, in Baltimore, the Mayor gave a license to l**ters. She kept law enforcement back, so the l**ters could "vent out their anger". The v**ers in Baltimore should have strung up that Mayor. How many businesses were destroyed because of the division Obama created? I would love to have a blanked license to "vent" wouldn't you?

But as Trump became President, the people got a taste of law enforcement enforcing the law. The enemies of Trump do not like that. They join the Media in denouncing Trump. To date, the media has not reported any success that Trump has made. And Fox commentators have recognized this. There has been many executive orders that bring freedom back to the people that were signed by Trump, and never reported on. As arrogant as he is, and as a blow heart blowing his own horn, we only learn about these successes by his own mouth. But the media and the press, continuously and relentlessly, continue to deflect from good news, and bring up gossip. It is the gossip, and not the words or actions of Trump, but the gossip that divides us.

If you are listening to me, in this post, I suggest that before you v**e, before you make up your mind, consider the source of the news. Who is spouting for or against Trump. What expertise do they have, like the NFL or NBA athletes, hollywood actors, etc. Do they really know what is going on? I would trust Megan Kelly a journalist over Johnny Depp, Madonna, or Ice Cube. Hell, Roseanne Barr gets fired for comparing a former Obama intern with a cross between the Muslim Brotherhood and Planet of the Apes; yet Madonna who threatened harm to the president, Ice Cube who portrayed that harm, and that lowlife comedian who threatened the same, nothing happens? Now we know the media and Hollywood's racial discrimination. Roseanne should be fired, along with Johnny Depp, Madonna, and Ice Cube to name a few.

Comedians have always picked on the president. From Roosevelt to Trump, they've always made fun of the president. That's free speech, but when that comedy becomes harmful to the public, then it's no longer free speech, but rather vicious slander. Look at what is going on for what is being done in action, not words. For actions speak louder than words and these actions are causing a major attack on conservatives or anyone who supports the president. The NFL protest was not against Trump but against law enforcement. The media made it against Trump. Kaepernick explained fully his protest, but when others joined him in the same protest, it was as if the protesters were paid to cause dissent. Kaepernick's protest lost all respect, for no one knew what his protest was all about. Now the NFL is allowing it for some and not for others. This makes the protectors of the Constitution become offended. The F**g and the National Anthem, the eagle, do not represent Trump. Nor do they represent Congress or the Supreme Court. The national anthem, and the F**g represent all of us, you and I. The F**g and the National Anthem represent our fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfathers who fought for the greater good, for their children. They represent us. For anyone to kneel at the F**g or during the National Anthem is sacrilegious, and appalling. Would you kneel to your neighbor, to subject yourself to their will? I certainly would not. Nor would I allow my fellow American to do the same. Our ancestors who built this country, who looked out for our better well being, would chastise each and everyone of us, for such a disrespect for the good that they have done. From the Revolution, to the War of 1812, to the Mexican War, to the Civil War, to the war with the Indians, to the Spanish-American War, to World War I, and World War II. Korean and Vietnam vets would scold you for disrespecting them, so would Desert Storm Vets, Iraqi Freedom vets, and Vets involved in the war against terrorists in Afghanistan and Syria.

And what are these protests about? Realistically corruption. R****m for the most part died in 1989. The KKK is nothing, the Neo-N**i party, truly has no power. Nor will any intelligent America listen to them. Black L***s m****r, A****a are falling into that same category. But being third generation American, and being a Veteran of two wars, I know that we, Americans are doing a disservice to our forefathers. Our forefathers dealt with r****m when it was deadly. Today, it is not as deadly as it was 20, 40, 60, 100 years ago. Yet they want to grasp the race card like a get out of jail free card. D********g!

Corruption on the other hand is a very deadly issue today. When a president can choose which law to enforce, and which law not to enforce, we are in trouble. Liberty, freedom, and justice are jeopardized. Obama did that. Trump is enforcing the law, whether or not he agrees with it. Obama signed into law, to separate children from their parents if caught by Homeland Security, which includes Border Patrol, ICE, etc. Trump followed the law that was passed by a Democratic Congress, and he gets blamed for it. But it isn't the cop's fault that the law is faulty, it is the Congress's fault. The biggest form of corruption is the law that is not enforced. An unjust law is a law that is not enforced. St. Augustine said that.

Some people are making money off of us, being in this chaos. It is not that the rich are getting richer and the poor getting poorer. It is the criminals behind the chaos, are becoming richer by shedding disinformation to the people. This corruption is being shut down. However, the attacks against the President just make the chaos worse. (Trump's mouth does too, but he is not g***med, he is a raw American, but that is another issue).

What I do say to my American countrymen, Liberal or Conservative, Democrat or Republican, or even Independent, if you have a grievance, that is reasonable, then yes, bring it up and have the authorities prosecute. There is a just way to do it. But if you bring up a grievance that you cannot proof, and there is no proof of, and is not reasonable or lawful, then you do not have a grievance and is wasting all the time of both the Government, the People, and you are spreading Gossip.

ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN have spread more gossip than the National Enquirer. That is sad. Fox News has spread some Gossip but is spreading more opinion then Gossip. But they are a far cry from Walter Cronkite or even Peter Jennings. These two reporters were journalists and allowed the evidence to guide the story or even the narrative. Today, between Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and the Judge, they are defending the President. They are using true facts that we can look up and see for ourselves. However, they are not as good of a journalist as Peter Jennings or Walter. The reason is because Peter and Walter did not defend a political candidate, but rather they let the story create the Narrative. Make no mistake both Peter and Walter did make mistakes but nothing like that of the reporters today. I use to enjoy Good Morning America, but today I think they are Gossips.

The view is made up of women who don't understand what they are saying. If you want the bond-bond eating, soap-opera watching gossips, that's the show for you. I wouldn't put creedence into their opinion though because they are gossips. When a reporter uses words like 'because' they are either defending their report or they are guiding the narrative. Because is the greatest spreader of gossip than any other word in the English language. Unless it is used in the context of "WWII occurred because of the punishment the Allies did to Germany" then it is just Gossip.

I don't believe that Trump needs to find Jesus, I believe that Jesus is guiding Trump. I believe that Trump got in over his head and is relying on Jesus to make wise decisions. I think we should support Trump because of his ability to find wisdom. No other president found wisdom that was strong and forceful as Trump since James Madison.

I am on your page, Ranger
Trump was elected because he is an outlier. In his elected office he continues to be an outlier, and he will be that until the next e******n, and probably beyond.
I do not agree on everything with him, but he is our president until he is no longer
