Going on the weight of plutonium and uranium I'm not sure what their atomic weights are but I'm pretty sure they are heavier than everything around them. So logic May dictate that this corium would melt its way right down through the mantle and eventually find its way to the outer inner core of the planet and should seal itself off. Uranium is heavy. Drop a rock in water and it goes straight to the bottom. Uranium will not travel as fast but it would make sense that it would travel straight down and possibly seal off the tunnel behind it. What will ultimately happen to the Corium is moot since according to this author there already has been sufficient release of radioactive products to k**l all forms of life on Earth. This author maintains that Fukushima is an extinction level event but this time there will be no survivors or recovery since the sea, air and land have already been poisoned with radioactive products whose lethality will only increase with time.

I wondered why the government is not commenting on this issue. At first I attributed it to typical bureaucratic stupidity in not connecting the dots.
