I have to ask if you are really Proud Republican because you both seem to look at something and read into it what totally isn't there. We have no problem with the enforcement of our border laws--we just have a problem with using law to mistreat those who cross our borders...

Not incarcerating children with their parents is and has been border law at least since the Clinton administration. To watch and listen to these Looney tunes protesters you'd think President Trump and AG Sessions MADE the laws now being enforced. So mindless.

I attended the March in Burlington Vermont on Saturday. Nobody was protesting a border. There was a small minority who carried signs about abolishing ICE. The vast majority were protesting this crazy "Zero Tolerance" policy which has resulted in children being taken from parents. Zero Tolerance policies are generally pretty stupid. They have resulted in such absurdities as kids being suspended from schools because they bit a piece out of a square biscuit and a teacher thought the biscuit looked like a pistol and such. From lookin' at government statistics, it seems that immigration is much lower than it used to be, but the Bush/ Cheney administration, who were dealing with much higher rates of legal and i*****l i*********n, never had to resort to cruel actions like this.

So tell me, why were they protesting the zero tolerance policy on June 30, when Trump signed an EO ending separation of families on June 20? "Zero tolerance" means NO tolerance against disobeying laws - ANY laws. I*********n l*w says i*****l a***ns who cross the border illegally will be treated as criminals and detained. The law says children shall not be detained along with their adult parents. On June 20, Trump over-rode that law and said children will now be able to stay with their detained adults. Is that what the people in Vermont were protesting? Do they think that Trump should just let the families into the US without holding them accountable for not obeying our laws? If I run a red light and a policeman catches me - I am held accountable for breaking the law and will pay a fine. What are these people's punishment? Welfare, food stamps and health care.

I'd rather they just be shot on sight after stepping on US soil. Problem solve and would be a great deterrent. Mike

Would you rather the kids be thrown into jail along with their parents? Mike

And one more time: you CC's claim were are a Christian nation so start behaving like it. Crossing our border illegally is a misdemeanor. To separate parent from child for a misdemeanor infraction is an action taken by a people fully consumed by evil and nothing more.

Am I reading this correctly? That on Saturday people marched against having a border to protect our country? That they want an open border, where anyone can flow into our country and just squat here? Trespass here? That millions, and then billions of people can flow into our country and then demand that we all pay for them? When they are sick we take care of them, and feed them and clothe them? Really? Who is going to pay for this? How can we pay for this?

Yes, I'm emotional about this. But I'm interested in solutions, too.

Why do you find it hard to believe? Congress, primarily the democrats, has refused for years to do anything to stop the constant flow of i*****l a***ns (primarily Mexicans) and drugs across our southern border. Truly, one would think the dems in Congress are being well paid by Mexico, or their controlling drug cartels, to keep our border open for Mexico to move its poorest citizens here. It is hard not to view Congress as complicit in Mexico's effort to make the USA Mexican when all their actions are aimed at aiding this.

Interesting points! I would not be surprised if Soros or someone with his kind of $$ is behind this as well as Mexico....and things will most likely become worse under this new Mexican President. He promised to let people in to Mexico so they could get to the to the US border. I hope Trump is getting ready for this. People are fearful of a war with North Korea, when one is brewing right here in our own back yard...

Nice pic,Peter..And im telling you again...Dont want to be separated from your kids, use Ports of Entry to get get in....I gave 4 links to show there are many, many Ports of Entry so there are no excuses.....If you decide to come to my home uninvited im gonna call police and you will be separated from your kids...America is my home ,if you cross my home illegally i will be calling CBP (Custom Border Patrol), BTW ,not ICE...to arrest you....Get it??/

Or don't hand your children over to the cartels. The vast majority of these separated children come here unaccompanied by their parents. 10,000 out of 12,000

True, but some Republicans, especially in Congress do nothing constructive and even are not loyal to the GOP. On immigration and lower taxes and gun rights and Scotus we should have total party loyalty.

Well there are the RINOs who turn a blind eye for cheap labor. The Democrats need a new dependent v****g base. And Congress IS responsible for allowing this problem to get to this point. But you are right. The Democrats want this invasion, and RINOs may turn a blind eye, but Democrats ENCOURAGE this lawlessness. I******s, gang members and the cartels are the Democrat constituency now. They care nothing for American citizens

One wonders what they talk about when each party goes into caucus. Doesn't sound like discipline among the GOP. Sure does sound like Dem discipline and strong arm tactics but Dems don't have the guts or integrity to stand up.
