Am I reading this correctly? That on Saturday people marched against having a border to protect our country? That they want an open border, where anyone can flow into our country and just squat here? Trespass here? That millions, and then billions of people can flow into our country and then demand that we all pay for them? When they are sick we take care of them, and feed them and clothe them? Really? Who is going to pay for this? How can we pay for this?

Yes, I'm emotional about this. But I'm interested in solutions, too.

I have to ask if you are really Proud Republican because you both seem to look at something and read into it what totally isn't there. We have no problem with the enforcement of our border laws--we just have a problem with using law to mistreat those who cross our borders...

Inhumane treatment my butt!!!......One more time for people with difficulty to comprehend.....If you dont want to be separated from your kids, dont cross border illegally....Go to the Points of Entry and you wont be separated!!!! Its that simple!!!There are 45 points of entry along the Southern Border.......How can you say

This is another example of extremism. If one side wants an airtight border, the other side feels compelled to demand no border at all. Where were the protests demanding an end to border security............................................before now?

I keep trying to get people to understand, that, as with most things in life - the best solutions are found somewhere between the extremes, i.e. in the center, the middle of the road. The problem is...................if we agree to meet in the middle, there'd be nothing to fight about...................and folks love a good fight.

Nice pic,Peter..And im telling you again...Dont want to be separated from your kids, use Ports of Entry to get get in....I gave 4 links to show there are many,many Ports of Entry so there are no excuses.....If you decide to come to my home uninvited im gonna call police and you will be separated from your kids...America is my home ,if you cross my home illegally i will be calling CBP (Custom Border Patrol), BTW ,not ICE...to arrest you....Get it??/

Are we still a Christian or judeo-Christian nation with freedom of religion. Get serious! Christiaity is under assault even in the USA. And not by Republicans!
If u want border security stand and be counted.
We have a system that accepts immigrants...under controlled circumstances. I do my sympathize with any i*****l a***ns Not with them being separated from their children..if it is their children. If they want their kids then claim them and leave the USA. Then cue up at legal entry points.

I attended the March in Burlington Vermont on Saturday. Nobody was protesting a border. There was a small minority who carried signs about abolishing ICE. The vast majority were protesting this crazy "Zero Tolerance" policy which has resulted in children being taken from parents. Zero Tolerance policies are generally pretty stupid. They have resulted in such absurdities as kids being suspended from schools because they bit a piece out of a square biscuit and a teacher thought the biscuit looked like a pistol and such. From lookin' at government statistics, it seems that immigration is much lower than it used to be, but the Bush/ Cheney administration, who were dealing with much higher rates of legal and i*****l i*********n, never had to resort to cruel actions like this.
