Things that make you go 'hmmmmm'.....

“The mob takes the Fifth,” Trump said at one campaign rally in September 2017. “If you're innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”

This is what his new lawyer said:

Giuliani said despite Trump's openness to sit down with special counsel Robert Mueller, he would strongly advise Trump against it.

"I'm going to walk him into a prosecution for perjury like Martha Stewart?" Giuliani said. Stewart, the lifestyle maven, was convicted in 2004 of lying to investigators and obstruction in an insider trading case.

If this isn't an admission, then Trump should probably look for (another) new lawyer....cause this one isn't helping him.

For a president the fifth is an admission of guilt, if a dem tried it the GOP would try to impeach in a New York minute.

Rudy should understand that there is no need to worry about perjury so long as Trump tells the t***h. Does he think that would be a problem?

Clearly Guilliani does think it would be a problem. And it gets to Comeys assertion that Trump behaves like a mob boss, as Trump has also asserted that only the Maffia plead the 5th.

If Mueller was not trying to trap President Trump, and was having a fair hearing,
I would think there would be no problem. However, that is not the case!

You might want to re-think that.. Or in your case "think" that.

This entire topic is nothing but a distraction. Trump is in no danger from Mewler. Giuliani is playing his own part.

It is pretty obvious that Trump is a compulsive liar, he is simply incapable of telling the t***h. He has lied in sworn depositions in the past and not been prosecuted, this time the level of scrutiny is greater.

So Guilliani's role is distraction....good to know. Doesn't explain why Trump says only guilty people plead the 5th and then his lawyer says he might.

Whistling past the graveyard is also a distraction.

How do you determine whether the hearing is unfair? Trump may have trapped himself with all the lies and contradictions he has said.

Since no one knows what evidence he has gathered, it is also jumping the gun to state that the investigation is unfair. I understand the legal right to plead the 5th, but like the President, my radar goes up when I hear that. And that includes the President.

I often wonder why the supporters of this President think he is above the law. Would they still support him if he shot someone on 5th Ave. in broad daylight ....because it's a witch hunt.

Personally, I don't think it's collusion that is the issue any more (though still relevant), but his financial dealings that have broken the law. That's why the right wants the investigation stopped.

More distraction. Trump could delay this for a long time regardless. He won't take the 5th anytime soon and in the meantime there's lots of stuff going on.
