After watching Sec. Powell make a (false) claim to the UN for WMD's to promote the Iraq conflict and it turned out to be total hogwash, one has to be a little cautious with some of these claims. I have a good friend who is a liberatarian, isolationist and annihilist. Right this minute I have Tucker Carlson asking my question on FOX: Where is the proof? I don't want the pretext to a war initiated by some outright false narratives. Sec. Powell was caught between a rock and a hard place trying to defend a bunch of outright lies. And I liked Bush in many ways, but I don't want to be hoodwinked into something that is not proven. Not really, but I want verified proof that this was caused by Assad. I want the details and I would think our president would want them also before putting anybody in harms way. I was all gung ho a couple of days ago and then I was reminded of the shuck and jive job they did on us during the Iraq war. So, I have mixed feelings. I'm tired, like most Americans, of war. Just give me definitive proof. A big supporter of 'peace through strength' and the whole gambit. Trump garnered a lot of support because of his negative stance on going to war in Iraq. (And he reminds us all the time) You know how I feel about Trump. Next to the second coming....(don't get excited). Now is his chance to prove it. Once again, definitive proof. Ron Paul's 'total nonsense' claim I'm not buying either.

If our Pres. really meant what he said about the last go-around, I don't think there is any way he'll do that, unless he is antagonized to the max. He's got the absolute BEST calling the shots in Gen Mattis, IMHO. You couldn't ask for a better well put-together team. Too bad the Left doesn't get it.

I think it is time that we worry about protecting our borders and not be the Worlds police force and let the United Nations as a whole deal with other countries problems, obviously as a member we will have OUR share of the involvement!!

If we go and fight Assad, the Muslims later will come to us, k**l us in retaliation for k*****g the Muslims in the Middle East. There is no end to this. There are many rich Arab countries, they must join together to help their own people. Why on earth do we get involved with them who'll later retaliate, come and k**l us? Our only responsibility there is protecting Israel.

We have so many priorities to be done at home.
Here are our problems:
1. We are invaded by all kinds of violent people in the world. Terrorists, drug dealers, c*******ts, Marxists, Socialists, free loaders, drug addicts. We need to seal our walls to protect our citizens. Do you know what is happening now in Europe? Their women and children are constantly raped. Terrorism is a daily ordeal. People are afraid to go out. Sweden now fully infiltrated by Islam, is about to have civil war. Is this what America want? Do you want Muslims to take over America too, by accepting Muslim refugees? Why not require the rich Arab countries help their own people? They save their money living in luxury while we sacrifice, give our men and women, fight for their wars? They are sitting pretty and require US to work for them? I think that is crazy for US to do that. America, THINK!!

2. Another problem we have is our budget deficit. We need to fund our decaying INFRASTRUCTURES, bridges, highways, left abandoned by Obama for the last 8 years. There are lots of deferred maintenance there. He allocated budget to feeding the tens of millions of refugees and i******s who terrorize us later.

3. We need money for the Walls, not for using our bombs to Syria. We don't eve know who did the poisoning. The Muslims are always deceptive and liars, hard to believe who is right.

4. China is rising fast, ahead and above all over the world in economy, military and its defense capabilities, and expanding its territories all over the world. E.g. South China Sea, is practically all taken by China. Nobody could stop them. The Spratley Islands owned by Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, and Vietnam are now all taken by China. Fact is they already built their military installation there, in defense of their territory. They are taking all the Far East, while US could not even build a wall.

5. Another problem going to Syria is we will have conflict with Russia. I think we need to have better relationship with Russia than China. For China, we could deal with them to having better economic relationship because right now, they are ahead of us on this matter. We must block them stealing our Intellectual Properties.

6. We must improve our relationship with Russia to prevent 3rd WW. Russia is a democrat country, a Christian country, and I think proper motivation and psychology could work a better relationship with them.

7. China is now the danger of the world, and not Russia.It is a totalitarian form of government. But we must also seek peaceful relationship with China, for the sake of stopping NK, but vigilance is the key.

8. If we fight Assad, millions of Syrian Muslim refugees will be pouring all over us. They'll all come. That psychology has been applied by the rich Arab countries to spread ISLAM all over the world especially US. Muslims want to take US too like what they did in Europe.

Radiance, how does/can China present such military/defense threat to the US when they will spend in 2018 US$174.5 BILLION compared to the US spending of over $1 TRILLION on military/defense? Could it be that the war drums you are hearing are from the propaganda machine that the US controls.

The real threat you and the rest of the US sheople are not being told is the threat China posses to the petrodollar and the loss of its hegemony in the global economy. None of this "attack" passes the smell test. None. We will probably have someone come up with "proof" of chemicals being used, but even with that, there will never be proof of who actually did it. This "attack" is nothing but a lure for the US and benefits ONLY those who want the US and Russia at each other's throats. I am reminded, at this point, of the nice Syrian family of diamond merchants I met in Northville, MI.
Two very nice brothers, one single, one with a family of two daughters and a son. All got long very well with everybody.
They all seemed to support Sahad, but came here anyway for safety.
Talk about good timing and landing on their feet.
The Dad left his diamonds 'hidden' and his wife in charge back in Syria - she still handles the local business there - profitably he says. His brother opened a diamond business in the area with a Jewish fellow and they were successful. Later he met and married a Syrian girl here and is now raising a happy family in L.A.
Dad's kids went on to U.S. colleges with full government rides, including apartments, utilities, etc. They actually studied a lot - Dad saw to it.
They all also recently moved to L.A. - better climate for them than Michigan winters.

Meanwhile the poor American born Dads are struggling to even get their kids into a college.

I don't agree with you that China spends only $174.5 billion in military defense spending. The fact is China spent hundreds of billions of dollars, setting military defense system in the Pacific's Spartley Islands, a strategy to completely own the East Pacific that does not belong to them. This also prevents the West from engaging commerce with the Pacific Rim countries, thus monopoly is for China for all commerce. Japan, South Korea, the Philippines and Vietnam are now being bullied by China on this account.

China has now the most sophisticated air defense system, and underground water defense mechanism than the United States. China's infrastructure is most modern, their airports, and highways are so modern ready for war.

US is so neglected, with so much deferred maintenance, accidents are happening because of that. Do you like that? Or are you a Muslim enemy of the US just pretending and lying, while trying to invade for a takeover later?

During the 8 years of Obama, the US military has been abandoned. In fact Mr. Obama reduced military generals and officers for 197 of them, drastically reduced funding to our defense system to weaken our military. And as a result, for 8 years US Defense system was underfunded. Our military equipment had been obsolete, war planes and all kinds of defense mechanism, because there was no modernization and updates. Defense maintenance of our hardware had been abandoned.

For the 8 years of Mr. Obama, thousands of our sick and disabled veterans have been deprived of medical care due to lack of funding. They waited and waited for years, for medical doctors, nobody came to help until they DIED.

Whereas Mr. Obama put priorities to funding tens and millions of i*****l a***ns, terrorists, and Muslim refugees with Obamacare, using our taxpayers money.

These i*****l a***ns from Mexico, and Muslims countries made so many babies to multiply their population for their takeover of our country. They use the hospitals paid for by our taxes, for delivering the rapid baby making system. And because these pregnant Mexican women are about to drop their babies, hospitals have no choice but help them ahead of the other paying patients waiting on the emergency clinic.

I saw them with my own two eyes. When I brought my mom-in-law for emergency hospital, she was not able to get in on time, because there were 5 Mexican pregnant women lined up behind about to drop their babies.

Fact was my mother-in-law has additional United Healthcare medical insurance paying high monthly premium, in addition to her Medicare coverage.

That was the Obama way more i******s to be feed so that they help v**e for them illegally for more handouts. Is that where you stand? What if my mom-in-laws situation was in your shoes? How do you like it?

US deferred and abandoned defense funding is now recovered by president Trump, to upgrade degraded equipment and save those dying veterans in crisis and dying.
They fought for our liberty and freedom with their lives and sacrifices. They deserve our help! Are you complaining about that? We are free because of them.

The neglect of our infrastructure has been on going for decades. So, maybe China is smarter to invest in their infrastructure and we are stupid to let ours deteriorate.
