Before I respond to a thread, I read the whole thread. As soon as it's taken over by those here that are only wanting conflict instead of comprise and respect for conflicting opinions, I opt out. Unless someone pisses me off. Thought OPP was promoting a place for civil discussion, instead has turned into a forum for "H**e Trump". Pity, an example of what is wrong in this country. Everything that is wrong in this country can not always be related to President Trump. We to are to blame because We The People have lost control of our government. What I truly can not understand is the obsession these people have with their hatred. We are all Americans. I did not like President Obama, he was my last Commander in Chief, respected the office. Served under eight Presidents. That being said, although I did not approve of his policies and decisions, I never lost the understanding that it's not about whomever is the President it's about America. About Americans having the freedom to express their opinions and respecting other opinions. Being able to come to an understanding, compromise. Without h**e. Seems that has been lost once again on OPP.

A h**e Trump forum? The number of negative posts about Trump, is dwarfed by the number of h**e Hillary, h**e Obama, h**e liberals, h**e progressives posts. Way back when Obama was still President, I started a thread about the dangers of disrespecting the Office of the President, showing how h**eful online comments about the sitting President aided and abetted America's enemies. You should have seen the volume of vitriol that came my way, with every "h**e Obama" poster making a case justifying their non stop criticism and derision of the President

Then came the 2016 e******n circus. During the primaries, everyone was at everyone else's throat, castigating every candidate other than the one THEY favored. After that fiasco, a new round of horse pucky began. The number of vitriolic posts aimed at Hillary Clinton, overwhelmed the number of "go Trump" posts, and believe it or not - even though both Obama and Clinton are OUT of government, they are still favored targets on this site.

No, if you'd been here in 2015 & 2016, you'd have posted disgust about this site being a "h**e Obama" forum...................unless you h**ed Obama.

J, that is exactly the point I was trying to make. When pressed with a real fact they will ignore that discussion, start another line of their own. Destroy the original subject to create and make another that they can use to further their opinion. Not just talking about the Left, we have Right Trolls here also. I could be called one. Whenever I feel that our Great Country or our fine men and women in our Military are dissed, I will respond. J, Stay the Course.

I have studied a lot on how to recognize trolls. Amazing once you know what to look for. This site is full of them. It is best just to ignore them since they are not here to discuss. One sure way to identify a troll is to give them a specific question about the subject. If they are trolling they usually will obfuscate, insult, or change the subject. Their favorite parlor trick is to lay out reams of innuendo with no facts.

It does archie. But it's our fault. We have once again let them take over OPP. So we have to gain it back. How ? The strongest tool is to ignore. If we don't give them a voice by replying. Trying to reason, that only results in the posts becoming more h**eful and vile. I like the posts when we don't respond and they become an echo chamber. Each trying to out do each other in their hatred. So funny.

President Trump has not lied to his supporters. He has and is attempting to keep all of his promises, and as an added undeserved bonus, he never ceases to be entertaining.

His supporters have not been brainwashed. We are cool, clear eyed and in reasonably full possession of our faculties.

All those who did and do oppose him have lost their collective minds.

It can be seen daily here on OPP where once sane individuals now foam at the mouth at the mention of his name. It can be seen in the Media, in Hollywood, and in any gathering of Democrats, where straight jackets, poised to be forcibly worn, should lie in wait.

By attempting to hold the funding for upgrading and resupplying of the U.S. military with needed equipment and armaments, hostage to superfluous funding for pet domestic projects, the Democrats have been perilously close to being treasonous, and unfortunately, some RINOs can be included in that number.

The lack of patriotism exhibited by those who would obstruct this president as he attempts to fulfill even the smallest
of his prescribed duties to keep this country viable is a disgrace.

It is only through his own determination, strength of will, and the grace of God, that President Trump has been able to achieve the things he has (or anything at all) since his inauguration.

It will soon reach a point where all reasonable American citizens will, for the survival of their own families, communities, culture, and nation, be forced to, in unison, declare "ENOUGH."

Sadly I think you are right. The left in this country is in fact trying to unseat a duly elected president because they don't like the fact that he won. I don't see President Trump's supporters, and anyone who values the rule of law and our foundations, sitting back and just letting corrupt, power hungry losers to subvert our Constitution

"ENOUGH"!
Oh yeah, we've had more than ENOUGH of liberal progressive vanity, hatred, arrogance, hypocrisy, prejudice, immorality, intolerance, debauchery, d******eness, r****m, selfishness, conceit, deception, lies, godlessness, wrath, greed, sloth, p***e, lust, envy, and gluttony. And, in many cases, treason. (Almost Biblical, did I leave anything out?)

And, if anyone thinks I am referring only to democrats, you can forget the party affiliations simply because this crisis isn't about political parties, it's about the insidious and destructive nature of an ideology founded upon abstract concepts and built on an artificial framework. There are many in all political parties who have succumbed to it.

In most cases it is probably because their egos are so fragile they can't stand to be wrong. They retaliate by being insulting, foul language or retreating from the subject. Those people I walk away from or in this case stop reading their temper rantings. Their interaction does not impress me and nothing I say will lead to their mind change as their ego will not allow it. Thus, beneficial discourse is impossible.

With all due respect. I believe it is much deeper than that. The left, under Obama saw (they thought) their centuries old goals realized. They believe to their very core that the U.S. was founded "wrongly". They believe, at least their hierarchy, that they (the elites of the party) know better how to make decisions for the individual then said individual. They do not believe in success by the sweat of their brow. It is to be horded by a few elites and the rest of us are to enjoy their redistribution of finite resources. I totally get why the so called elite is for this. They will remain rich and in charge. What I don't get are their average followers who sign over their lives for a promise that will never be realized.

Do you have any trouble maintaining that lofty altitude?

There will be no further sitting back; Not willingly. Those with regard for the rule of law have already ceded too much to the lawless elements within this country.

There are anarchists coming out of the woodwork now, and so used to being unimpeded, they are highly insulted when confronted for their lawlessness.

Hunting Games. Really? To what end?

No one who is posting on an internet website forum, which is, in all practicalities visible to the entire "wired-in" world, is in need of being "flushed out..."

Sounds pretty much like society's run-of-the-mill "drama queens," all pumped up with nowhere to go!

Such is not to instill in anyone a sense of insignificance to the point of pessimism and disenchantment, but rather to point out that no matter how pompous and vainglorious we become, how serious we take ourselves, how important we deem ourselves, we are really all simply small, frail creatures in God's created universe which is beyond the scope of the average mind.

In light of this, those who pretentiously parade around this teeny speck of space dust in grandiose and megalomaniacal self-importance, whether political, military, religious, medical, industrial or celebrity figures, appear rather humorous and lamentable, not to mention egotistical and just plain silly to those of us who are still capable of gazing into a mirror, and actually recognizing the person gazing back as a mere human, without pretense or guile.

Hunting games are, however, undoubtedly highly addictive. Many strange hours to occupy, so carry on.
