Have wasted another night here on OPP, hoping to read and engage in meaningful discourse. Seems that this forum has became a place for everyone that h**es President Trump to post. If a person does post a subject for civil discussion it is soon taken over by the Trolls. The more that we try to reason and find common ground, the nastier they become. Before I respond to a thread, I read the whole thread. As soon as it's taken over by those here that are only wanting conflict instead of comprise and respect for conflicting opinions, I opt out. Unless someone pisses me off. Thought OPP was promoting a place for civil discussion, instead has turned into a forum for "H**e Trump". Pity, an example of what is wrong in this country. Everything that is wrong in this country can not always be related to President Trump. We to are to blame because We The People have lost control of our government. What I truly can not understand is the obsession these people have with their hatred. We are all Americans. I did not like President Obama, he was my last Commander in Chief, respected the office. Served under eight Presidents. That being said, although I did not approve of his policies and decisions, I never lost the understanding that it's not about whomever is the President it's about America. About Americans having the freedom to express their opinions and respecting other opinions. Being able to come to an understanding, compromise. Without h**e. Seems that has been lost once again on OPP.

Thank you Sarge. Excellent. We have become so polarized that many are willing to throw away the rule of law so they can get what they perceive as a win. D********g. I have studied a lot on how to recognize trolls. Amazing once you know what to look for. This site is full of them. It is best just to ignore them since they are not here to discuss. One sure way to identify a troll is to give them a specific question about the subject. If they are trolling they usually will obfuscate, insult, or change the subject. Their favorite parlor trick is to lay out reams of innuendo with no facts.

Yes, there is little discussion and a lot of closed minded, name calling, and hatred disguised as knowledge. As such there is very little beneficial discourse. I too am quick to turn off a thread for said reasons.

Before Donald Trump ran for president Democrats courted him for donations, rarely had anything too terribly bad to say about him, but once he beat Hillary he became the devil incarnate, and ANYTHING was acceptable, including overturning an e******n. The left has become unhinged in their hatred of President Trump. And after over a year of not being able to drive him from office, or weaken his support, the left has also turned their hatred to those who support him as well.

You've made me think and try to express my thoughts in a way that is meaningful...

I only ask that those who support Trump put aside blind trust and faith and pay attention to reality as far as what we are dealing with.

Country first, don't support a man that isn't worth trust.

I totally agree with your last sentence but question how when we have only two names on the b****t. Most politicians are not trustworthy and we end up v****g for the least evil. We could write in a candidates name but that would just throw our v**e away so you might as well not v**e at all which is no answer either. Any ideas?

I only ask that those hostile to Trump put aside blind hatred, bottle up the venom and pay attention to reality as far as what Trump must deal with.

No one has blind trust and faith in President Trump. What his supporters do pay attention to is, that President Trump KEEPS his campaign promises. And as for country first, the Democrats are the ones who won't let go of LOSING. The arrogance and h**e-filled rhetoric, the violence and property damage, ALL of it an attempt to criminalize Trump winning. President Bush went home and kept his mouth shut, Obama followed President Trump all over the world giving his counter opinion on policy that was no longer his to comment on. It is the Democrats who put power and control over country. And the too numerous to mention times Obama looked the American people in the face and outright lied, sometimes calculated lies, the subverting of the Constitution and abuse of power, hardly lends one towards trust, regardless if the media are your accomplices and collaborators who will excuse and cover for you. The American people can trust President Trump to keep his campaign promises, or at least truly try to keep them. The obstructionist attitude of the Democrats to stop President Trump regardless of if the American people want his policies are sickening.

OPP has no monopoly on hatred toward President Trump, on Liberals/Marxist/Progressives diehards still gnashing their teeth over Hillary Clinton's loss or on those in general search of someone to h**e, for any of a multitude of reasons...

The hatred toward President Trump is a preoccupation of innumerable posters to every available public forum.

As for trolls, that term has been so overused and misused, everyone who displeases someone else with their post now seems to be in danger of being so labeled.

The most annoying attitude I see on the part of anti-Trump individuals is the presumptuous claim that all Trump supporters are in possession of any or all of the following traits:

1) IQ challenged
2) uninformed
3) KKK wannabees
4) close-minded
5) uneducated
6) xenophobic
7) unsophisticated
8) warmongers
9) caucasians
10) r****ts
11) brainwashed

Assuredly, there are many more that don't presently come to mind.

The point is that never is there even a hint of self-awareness that might inform these malcontents that the reason for their anger lies deep within themselves, and Not with President Trump.

If by "meaningful discourse," you are intimating those properly informed individuals with whom you are in agreement, or even those who will conduct themselves in a semi-courteous manner, Good luck with that.

Superior odds of that happening might be encountered at a weekly prayer service, and that, at this present time in our nation's history, is "iffy."

As a supporter of President Trump since the day he descended the escalator, into U.S. history, turmoil, controversy, and many more victories than anyone would have dreamed possible, I agree with you.

President Trump has not lied to his supporters. He has and is attempting to keep all of his promises, and as an added undeserved bonus, he never ceases to be entertaining.

His supporters have not been brainwashed. We are cool, clear eyed and in reasonably full possession of our faculties.

All those who did and do oppose him have lost their collective minds.

It can be seen daily here on OPP where once sane individuals now foam at the mouth at the mention of his name. It can be seen in the Media, in Hollywood, and in any gathering of Democrats, where straight jackets, poised to be forcibly worn, should lie in wait.

By attempting to hold the funding for upgrading and resupplying of the U.S. military with needed equipment and armaments, hostage to superfluous funding for pet domestic projects, the Democrats have been perilously close to being treasonous, and unfortunately, some RINOs can be included in that number.

The lack of patriotism exhibited by those who would obstruct this president as he attempts to fulfill even the smallest
of his prescribed duties to keep this country viable is a disgrace.

It is only through his own determination, strength of will, and the grace of God, that President Trump has been able to achieve the things he has (or anything at all) since his inauguration.

It will soon reach a point where all reasonable American citizens will, for the survival of their own families, communities, culture, and nation, be forced to, in unison, declare "ENOUGH."

Keep in mind the liberals supported Obama, without a doubt the most obscene, destructive and corrupt person ever to be elected as president. When the liberals disparage the President they have already showed their standards, making any remarks about President Trump totally irrelevant. It’s really very simple,wh**ever mental issues liberals have, render them incapable of normal reason thus their thoughts about anything are nonsensical Babbel.

A h**e Trump forum? The number of negative posts about Trump, is dwarfed by the number of h**e Hillary, h**e Obama, h**e liberals, h**e progressives posts. Way back when Obama was still President, I started a thread about the dangers of disrespecting the Office of the President, showing how h**eful online comments about the sitting President aided and abetted America's enemies. You should have seen the volume of vitriol that came my way, with every "h**e Obama" poster making a case justifying their non stop criticism and derision of the President

Then came the 2016 e******n circus. During the primaries, everyone was at everyone else's throat, castigating every candidate other than the one THEY favored. After that fiasco, a new round of horse pucky began. The number of vitriolic posts aimed at Hillary Clinton, overwhelmed the number of "go Trump" posts, and believe it or not - even though both Obama and Clinton are OUT of government, they are still favored targets on this site.

No, if you'd been here in 2015 & 2016, you'd have posted disgust about this site being a "h**e Obama" forum...................unless you h**ed Obama.
