Mr. Ed, your post is no more correct than Fom's, and probably less so. Greenland was founded by Erik The Red, who had been exiled from Norway, first and then Iceland for murder. After landing in Greenland, he later named it that to encourage other Vikings to migrate there, instead of Iceland. Erik could not return to live in Iceland for long, so he was determined to have his own settlement. He was not discouraging settlers to live in Iceland nearly so much as he was encouraging them to settle with his colony. Erik's son, Lief Erikson, found fame as an adventuror. The Viking colonies pretty much disappeared from Greenland after 4-600 years.

I graduated from 6th grade in 1960, so...I do not rely on my memories to argue points of historical perspective. Since the earliest history of Greenland depended primarily on oral accounts, later written down, they are not considered exactly accurate. Each of us; Fom, yourself, and I could be slightly off in our accounts or recollections. I refreshed mine by looking into the history of Greenland, online, and found yours to be lacking, even if only marginally so. I would be honest in saying I suspect the t***h is not exactly known, but all of us are well within the ballpark in accuracy.

CO2 stimulates plant growth.. We have the "greenhouse effect" because an excess of CO2 physically acts like a greenhouse and traps heat and water vapor near the earth surface, not because of any toxicity from CO2. It is the excess of CO2 which is the problem..

V**e em out If I don't like em seems like the only thing I can do to combat stupid government rules and regulations that lead to the destruction of industry and loss of jobs which leads to humans piling their garbage up because they can't pay a garbage service and having babys cause they are on welfare and driveing old smokey cars because they are poor because the government got in the way of good jobs.
