OldRoyThanks for the respond, Here’s a repeat from another post that I made:

I’ve said it before – ‘It’s not the weapon you need to worry about – it’s the mind behind the weapon’ (- that is dangerous).

When will law makers realize that more laws are just that ‘more laws’ and in the case of bad guys and guns - won’t work? More gun laws will not stop or even slow down the violence – because the offender will just find another way to be violent and the good guy will have even less opportunity to defend themselves.
As I’ve said before – ‘It’s not the weapon you need to worry about – it’s the mind behind the weapon’ (- that is dangerous). And again I ask which would be a more horrific death, gun-shot or knife?, hammer?, screwdriver?, stone?, baseball bat?, group of bad guys?, run down by car?????? Bad guy wants you hurt or dead - you BE hurt or dead – him with or without a gun!
If I lost a loved one to violence (gun or otherwise) I would want justice (or revenge) but I am smart enough to know that you can’t outlaw the bad guy. We need to work on preventing the creation of the bad guy and the mentally disturbed (and for the most part they ARE made), and for those who are already made, we need to put them into places that are designed to modify their behavior, not just temporarily store them someplace away from society.
Make the correctional system work, make the bad guy pay his way, make the correctional facilities self sufficient using bad guy labor, make being a bad guy something he don’t want to be again! And those that k**l……

You may now talk about the box cutter being used on the Texas campus to cut people up. I guess he could have k**led some people if he had a gun but he probably couldn't have run from building to building shooting away so easily since it would be easier to point him out if he was banging away. The kid who tackled him so he could be disarmed said it was the cutting of a girl that caused his loss of temper.

I wonder what the DC loons will do about this primitive weapon being used. Surely Obammy will have to run down there to tell those people how he is working on outlawing box cutters since they make such good weapons. I bet he has already forgotten the weapon of choice on 9-11-01.

Here Here!
Like I said if not a gun – something else, Guns are long distance (relative to knife) meaning you may get a chance get to cover (some people can’t hit a barn from the inside) – knives are up-close and personal you may find yourself dying with your guts spilling out or watching your blood spray all over the place – I think I’d prefer something a little faster thank-you!
Could you imagine watching someone you love die having their blood spraying all over the place and nothing you can do? Gun control not very effective!!!

Do you remember when Obama talked about Republicans bringing knives to a gun fight? He was talking about a situation they are trying to create right now.

When I see people talking about punishing bad guys I always think of the Oklahome prison r**t in the early 70s when they were throwing couches, TVs, and other niceties out in the compound and burning it all. The NG soldier who taught with me and had to go down said their orders were not to get hurt while watching them tear the place up. Then the state went to the expense of replacing all that crap and failed to punish those slobs at all. Damn that made me mad.

Another missed opportunity to solve overcrowding, improve the the gene pool, and stop recidivism.
