It seems that Mayor Emanuel is trying very hard to prove that the tough, unenforced, gun laws of Chicago have caused a huge drop in murder in the city. Here are some numbers that may make his words look like just what they are, whitewash and smiley face lies.

When will law makers realize that more laws are just that ‘more laws’ and in the case of bad guys and guns - won’t work? More gun laws will not stop or even slow down the violence – because the offender will just find another way to be violent and the good guy will have even less ability to defend themselves.
As I’ve said before – ‘It’s not the weapon you need to worry about – it’s the mind behind the weapon’ (- that’s dangerous). And again I ask which would be a more horrific death, gun-shot or knife?, hammer?, screwdriver?, stone?, baseball bat?, group of bad guys?, run down by car?????? Bad guy wants you hurt or dead - you BE hurt or dead – with or without a gun!
If I lost a loved one to violence (gun or otherwise) I would want justice (or revenge) but I am smart enough to know that you can’t outlaw the bad guy. We need to work on preventing the creation of the bad guy and the mentally disturbed (and for the most part they ARE made), and for those who are already made, we need to put them into places that are designed to modify their behavior, not just temporarily store them someplace away from society.
Make the correctional system work, make the bad guy pay his way, make the correctional facilities self sufficient using bad guy labor, make being a bad guy something he don’t want to be again! And those that k**l……

Hey, Tom, I really don't mind your name calling and don't think the Dutchman does either. It is one of the Alinsky favorite methods of making yourself feel like you are decimating others who have "taken you to the cleaners", so to speak.

So many of the leaners really don't know or are able to admit that they are playing follow the leader concerning Alinsky and his teachings. He wanted them to discredit anyone who doesn't think progressively and they do it so well, showing what they really are every time they do it.

I've been to this site (One Political Plaza - Home of politics) um-teen times and have most always tried to give some positive suggestions especially in regards to guns. Is anybody here intrested in anything other than bashing each other?????? :?
