Clinton was the one who did the paying taxes on SS. Gosh, we paid taxes on it once already, now we have to again. Wish both parties would have to try and live off it for a few years, and see how they like it.
I paid into it all my working years, and don't get much anyway, then no raises, while Odumbo was in office. The thing that upsets me is all these newscasters, both Repub, and democraps calling it an entitlement. Since Ronald Reagan and his wealthy tax cuts called (Supply side Economics) or (Trickle) Down Economic’s) which raised the deficit to 365%. To try and pay for these wealthy Tax cuts Reagan imposed the largest tax increase in American history with the SS amendment tax bill. But what Trump supporters ignore is Reagan took those tax funds and deposited it in the General fund not the SS fund. Which just under Reagan he used $1.4 trillion to balance his budget which he never did.

Between Reagan and Bush they stole from SS approximately $2.6 trillion wow that would have made there deficits even worse. But the GOP now is happy with the leader of the Trump crime family.

Now here comes the republicans again they took care of the wealthy donors. They raised taxes on 26% of the poor and middle class there taking health insurance away from 13 million people all this to raise the deficit by $1.5 trillion. This is just dumb.

But now they have there actual budget which has a $485 Billion in deficit financed. So Trump Crime family have almost $2 trillion already added to the deficit. Only 11 months in Office

(THERE NOW COMING FOR SS, MEDICARE, AND MEDICAID AND THERE NOT DONE WITH TAKING HEALTHCARE AWAY FROM 32 MILLION PEOPLE) (REPUBLICANS IGNORE CORPORATE WEALFARE IN THE FORM OF CORPORATE SUBSIDIES, TAX LOOPHOLES, THEY LOWERED THE CORPORATE TAX RATE, THEY LOWERED THE TAX RATE ON PASS THROUGH, THEY ELIMINATED THE ALTERNATIVE MINIMUM TAX RATE ON THE WEALTHY, THEY REALED THE DEATH TAX THAT ONLY EFFECT THE UPPER .01% THE ULTRA RICH, THEY NOW ALLOW THE WEALTHY TO BRING BACK $3.2 TRILLION THAT THE ULTRA RICH PUT INTO OFFSHORE TAX HAVENS AND NEVER PAID A DIME IN TAXES AND WHATS HYPOCRITICAL IS THEY NEVER CLOSED THE LOOPHOLE THAT ALLOWS THE ULTRA RICH TO OFFSHORE PROFITS EARNED IN THIS COUNTRY. SO THE ULTRA RICH JUST CONTINUE WITH THE SAME PRACTICE OF TAX EVASION) This is how the Trump family crime unit operates and his Soldiers are the Republican Party.

To understand the the SS fund, we have a separate fund called the SS account that is used only for SS payments but that was when the SS was first passed. But Reagan set up the SS amendment tax increase. But he set it up to be deposited in the US general fund. But what the Trump family crime unit and his soldiers in the Congress lead you to believe and they tout the figures from the original SS fund not the amendment tax created by Reagan that goes into the general fund.

The payroll SS tax hike for baby boomers that started to retired in 2010. Not one dime went to that cost.

Not only this amazing fact the Trump family crime soldiers lead you to believe under Obama the number of people leaving the workforce. (REMEMBER THAT TALKING POINT TRUMP SUPPORTERS) well starting in 2010 there were 3,850 baby boomers retiring everyday. That’s you’re GD workers leaving the workforce. I assume that at one point in the past you did listen & learn.
Some how the open mind you may once have had has closed it's self to the changes that have taken place in the last 40 years.

There has been numerous tax cuts that have helped the Wealthy in the interest of helping the economy grown.
There has been growth but as the rich got richer the poor have got poorer.
These actions have got on so bad for most in this Nation that now if any one has a steady full time job they are considered middle class.

It is my assumption right or wrong that most of us here are in the middle.
We all see that things are not as we would like them to be.

I would say that things are bad for the middle because too many in the middle sellout to the Fat Cats.
Thus being an enemy to what truly should be better for them self.

So what truly is needed is to be apsolutly sure that supporting the Right is truly right for you.

There are 2 sides here. I have what ever is needed to live on either side or this debate.
But I know that only a very few can ever have it all.
As a member of this Nation I have played the game & have what should be a good life.

Daily I receive phone calls & mail asking for help to aid in some thing or other.
I even have people on the street & coming to my door asking for help.

What I can do or do is very limited.

You give me the impression that you think SWMBO and I are rich and that we hoard our money and give nothing to others. In reality we have never made a lot of money. Working as a counselor to abused children through a Christian group is scarcely a high income job nor is being a professional dog trainer of service dogs. We live in a double wide in the middle of the Appalachians on about a hundred acres of mountains. However over the years we have personally housed at least 30 people who needed a place to stay for a couple of months or more let alone those who like Mabel who stayed here for two weeks around Thanksgiving while her kitchen was being repaired from the fire she had. We don't know her well but she was welcome (her three cats were NOT welcome, the dogs would have been too upset)This is an area of great people like our neighbors who share their hen eggs and goat cheese with us.SWMBO, farm girl and daughter of a veterinarian that she is, gives the goats their shots, and trims their hooves, and helps with delivery of the kids. The neighbors also help with our huge garden now that my health is rapidly declining, and all share in the produce including some who are house bound and we deliver to their homes. But then, I lived in a flop house worked days and went to school nights during my college years, so I learned to do with less. It was in n era when people repaired things, made do or did with out. Try telling that to today's milenials.
