A favorite myth when I was a young, sanctimonious student-radical was to deride WWII vets as clueless, jingoists constantly swapping war stories. As with most L*****t memes it was a slanderous lie. War vets who have "touched the elephant" almost never talk about what happened, esp. to people who haven't been there.

They most especially would not wish it upon any human ever again.

Docwill: Well stated and can relate. I have a couple of running buddies that were in country. The only time that topic comes up is late at night, after we have had too much to drink. Some things are better left buried.

what I don't understand is how some posters come up with the worst insults they can think of and then expect other s**theads to join in with them on denigrating a human being.
