apparently you know nothing about US Marines (left-wingers don't): Muslims can't shoot, f*gs don't fight. Those who won't fight for their freedoms can get a job working for the conservatives who will. hahahahaha

The same is true about the liberals, they would only change the things they don't like and leave the things they do like.If more people would REALIZE it is NOT the president who outs everything into law, UNLESS senate and congress agree to it, his hands are tied, he can do NOTHING!Forget the president YOU don't put him into office anyway! The "E*******l college" which is politicians put him into office.Look MORE at your state and federal senators and your congressmen, you will see who is destroying this country along with the elitists on the supreme court who legislate from the hip.

The marines won't save you when you start your "revolution". You start it...you're on your own. Also, your jaded perception of muslims and "f*gs" could cause you great harm....and that's a good thing.

You sound like a graduate of the Ted Nugent School of Patriotism.

So I decided to escape the -20 below and spend a few days down in Florida visiting my parents. They live in a gated over 55 golfing community that has had 5 break ins in the past couple of weeks. They don't appear to be dangerous so far very discerning criminals just stealing jewelery, but scary all the same.

They asked if I still had the guns they had borrowed me, they were interested in possibly getting them back. Everyone and their redneck cousins have guns down here and they were thinking gee maybe it's not such a bad idea.

How we politic and run for public office has changed radically since the founding of our country. Initially politicians didn't campaign on their own behave but rather had their friends and followers do to for them.

This is a democratic republic which means it isn't a democracy like what they had back in Ancient Greece. We are slowly moving toward mob rule which our founding fathers knew was as dangerous as a powerful federal gov.

The 17th amendment pushes us towards both.

And, us? You cowards and pansy's on the left are no threat, to yourself maybe, but not to any of us ex-military conservatives.

Right wingers don't panic. We actually know how to use our guns. Eventually the gays will have accumulated enough power and authority that we'll be required to k**l them along with the muslims. It's really the only Christian thing to do.

Yes. We all know that Jesus preached the murder of people who looked differently or behaved differently. If Jesus returned his first instinct would be to head to an NRA meeting rather than a synagogue or church. For sure he would prefer cleaning his Glock or AR-15 over ministering to the poor.

Americans aren't buying what you h**ers are selling. Kind of obvious by the last 2 p**********l e******ns and the red-state retreat on gay-bashing...

The Tea Party types who are calling for repeal of the Seventeenth Amendment have Much, MUCH better things to do than that. These people need to concentrate on saving what little is left of our Government. This day is no time to muck around with the Constitution. It is time to work on what is wrong with the Government right here and now.

For all of the whining and yapping about the attack on the 2nd amendment, it is surprisingly quiet from the teapartyconservatives and the attack on the 17th amendment.

Imagine that, it is OK for conservativeteaprty types to call for changes they don't like, but NEVER,EVER TOUCH the amendments they do like.

Hmmmm, is the constitution a sacred document or not?

I was not aware that there was an effort to repeal the 17th amendment. Thanks for mentioning it. So I Wickied the subject and read a little about it. Not as much as I intend to, but to give a couple of possible answers to your question I'll give a couple of thoughts. My opinion only. Aside from the fact that the 17th amendment was added over 100 years after the crafting of the Constitution and the first amendments to the Constitution - over 700 dog years! - and aside from the fact it was passed in 1913 by Progressive Woodrow Wilson, all of who's accomplishments some of us would like to see reversed; conservatives, Tea Party folk and Libertarians perceive the 17th amendment as one that sends power to the federal government, which the 2nd amendment does not. So they want to repeal it. If I am right, and I'm not sure I am, repealing the 17th amendment is consistent with the intent of the groups I just mentioned, AND, since everyone else wants to pick and choose, why not them?
