Looks as though normal folks are waking up to the stupidity of this crap.
Lawmakers in Kansas are debating a bill that would make anti-gay discrimination legal in that state.
Lawmakers in Kansas are debating a bill that would make anti-gay discrimination legal in that state. The bill, which has passed in the state's Republican-controlled lower chamber, would offer legal protections for individuals, businesses and government employees who refuse to serve homosexuals on the basis of religious beliefs.

State legislatures can pass any law they feel like. They can outlaw sodomy, outlaw miscegenation, outlaw birth control and even make performing a sex act in a non-missionary position a crime. Just because they pass a law, however, hardly makes it constitutional. That's why we have a U.S. Supreme Court to review state statutes and see if they pass constitutional muster.

I would place my money on the Supreme Court tossing this law if Kansas tries to implement it.

I can't access youtube right now--computer problems--but I hope they are successful in their effort. All that perversion protection is stomach-turning. Everyone has rights, and no one can arbitrarily beat up another person just for their sexual choices. But they don't need special laws. Another pet peeve of mine is the term "H**e Crime". Why this designation? And only for White on black crimes. W****s can't use this defense because they're not a minority. (YET)

Oh joy, a re-run of "Hee-Haw". The state of Kansas can file it as "exhibit A" when they defend their "law" before the U.S. Supreme Court.

You actually do think that the Lewises were wrong in those words. When will you admit that two bulls can't create a cow or two roosters create a chick? You guys just don't like to hear the t***h when male up male is brought up as a nonworking practice.

Brian it will be a long time before it if ever reaches the Supreme Court. A federal judge will smack this one down just like they have all the other bigoted laws that come from the red states dumbass politicians. These cons really are stupid if they think they can pass laws that discriminate against anyone they don't approve of.

Yep, it is truly unfortunate the Government doesn't protect the morals and ethics of we "bigots", but does those who are lacking in moral values and ethics running counter to ours.

Dutchman-Kansas could start by re-wording their bill. Anti-gay=against gay discrimination ? If they are against gay discrimination what are they for? If they intend to discriminate against gays the bill should read that," in certain circumstances gays may legally be discriminated against". My limited English tells me that anti-gay discrimination is discrimination against anyone who is anti-gay. Don't believe it will fly. Good Luck America !!!

I am a straight married man with 2 grown daughters. My parents raised me with a philosophy of "to each their own". I raised my daughters that way. People should focus on their own love lives and not on what other consenting adults do behind closed doors.

I and many other people have repeatedly said, if you find homosexuality repulsive, don't engage in it. If you find gay weddings to be offensive, don't have one. Its really that simple. However you have no right to tell consenting adults what their preferences should be. The Supreme Court made that very clear in Lawrence v. Texas in 2003. That's the law. If you don't like it...tough.

Brenda, It’s weird ducks like you that support these q***rs pushing their perverted life style in the face of the children in this country. Now do I believe your straight married man with 2 grown daughters, Hell NO! Unless of course your daughters are q***r. I have 3 daughters and a son and none of them think the way you do! They are NORMAL people living normal lives and it just pisses you q***r people off....
Their lack of being able to reproduce probably really pisses you off, Have no fear though, they will be the cause of their own extinction....

Obviously Mr. Dutchman, you are threatened by other people's choices. Me thinks thou does protest too much. I think you have the J. Edgar Hoover closet queen syndrome. I'll bet you have a full size portrait of a bare-chested Vladimir Putin in your 2-seater outhouse.
