Here are just a few frightning quotes from the Quaran, can you believe that any so called peace loving people could claim to take direction from such a book? we should never let such people live in our country! Oops I got the holy books mixed up; sorry what was I thinking?

Deuteronomy 7:1-2 When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations . . . then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy.

Leviticus 20:9
If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death.

Exodus 35:2
For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it must be put to death.

Matthew 10:34
Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Deuteronomy 7:1-2 is talking about a particular time and place. It is not a commandment to start now and continue to do the same thing to the whole world forever.
Nations had to come together to stop Hitler. It was not a bad thing to do. Sometimes you have to make a stand to stop evil.
Instead of focussing on the fact the the Jews had to go to war, you might look at who they were fighting and why it became necessary.

Leviticus 20:9 deals with the laws of Moses. Both the Muslims and the Jews trace their roots to Moses.
Look around you, is it the Jews or the Christians who are stoning people to death for theses kinds of violations???????????
No, it's the Muslims who are still practising biblical law.

Exodus 35:2 this is still Moses' laws, do you see any Jews or Christians k*****g anyone for working on the Sabbath, anywhere in the world.

Try being a Muslim and sneak out and not praying to Mecca five times a day and watch what happens.

Matthew 10:34 and on this one your just plain ignorant. If you read your bible at all you'd know that he is not talking literally about a sword.
He is trying to prepare his followers for persecution.
He knew that the world would reject his teachings:

Matthew 5:43-48 - Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and h**e thine enemy. (Read More...)

Matthew 5:44 - But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that h**e you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Love thine enemy????????????? whoever heard of such a thing?

Jesus knew that his message of love and peace would be violently rejected, that why he said, "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword."

Now finish the quote:

"For I came to SET A MAN AGAINST HIS FATHER, AND A DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER, AND A DAUGHTER-IN-LAW AGAINST HER MOTHER-IN-LAW;…

Do you pay attention to any thing at all.
Why don't you complain about the Jews who fought the N**is, after all the N**is just wanted to make the world a better place to live.......by k*****g the Jews.

The Coptic Christians are starting to militarized in order to protect themselves from persecution from the Islamists.

But, I guess in your book anyone who defends themselves from aggression is guilty of the aggression their getting..................
so your saying they should lie down and die....................watch their families be murdered.............because, if they defend themselves, you'll accuse them of......................??????????????

Mayan Religion and Sacrifice
http://mayareligion-galicki-ant3145.wikispaces.com/Mayan+Religion+and+Sacrifice

A HISTORY OF THE MAYANS AND THEIR DAILY LIFE
The Mayans believed that it was important to keep the gods happy. To please them the Mayans burned incense in temples. They also practised human sacrifice. Captives taken in war were often sacrificed. (If they could the Mayans would not k**l their enemies. Instead they would capture them for sacrifice).

One religious ceremony involved playing a ball game called Pok-A-Tok. It was played with a solid rubber ball. You were not allowed to touch the ball with your hands or feet. Instead you had to use your knees, hips, elbows and forearms. (Players wore padding as the ball was very hard). Sometimes prisoners of war were forced to play Pok-A-Tok and were sacrificed afterwards.

After I build my alter, I think I'll invite that pesky neighbour over for a friendly game of Pok-A-Tok.

After all, it's my Constitutional right to practice my religion.............right?

My original point that the bare assed little boy urinating can't grasp is that fundamentalist religious sects from all walks of life create chaos with the blood thirsty defense of their own very specific creation myths and literal reading of their scriptures. His agressive defense of his own tribes folklore go's a long way toward proving my point.

I thought it a rather novel way of ridding oneself of undesirable neighbors. Your point about religious fundmentalists is correct, to a point, but almost all terrorist attacks are carried out by Muslims. Having a narrow minded, parochial viewpoint is one thing. Blowing up people who disagree with that viewpoint is typical 12th Century Muslim.
