Read inaugruation day letter from Barack Obama left for Trump

Dear Mr. President - 
Congratulations on a remarkable run. Millions have placed their hopes in you, and all of us, regardless of party, should hope for expanded prosperity and security during your tenure.
This is a unique office, without a clear blueprint for success, so I don't know that any advice from me will be particularly helpful. Still, let me offer a few reflections from the past 8 years.
First, we've both been blessed, in different ways, with great good fortune. Not everyone is so lucky. It's up to us to do everything we can (to) build more ladders of success for every child and family that's willing to work hard.
Second, American leadership in this world really is indispensable. It's up to us, through action and example, to sustain the international order that's expanded steadily since the end of the Cold War, and upon which our own wealth and safety depend.
Third, we are just temporary occupants of this office. That makes us guardians of those democratic institutions and traditions -- like rule of law, separation of powers, equal protection and civil liberties -- that our forebears fought and bled for. Regardless of the push and pull of daily politics, it's up to us to leave those instruments of our democracy at least as strong as we found them.
And finally, take time, in the rush of events and responsibilities, for friends and family. They'll get you through the inevitable rough patches.
Michelle and I wish you and Melania the very best as you embark on this great adventure, and know that we stand ready to help in any ways which we can.

Too bad he hasn't lived up to the temporary part. Most presidents would walk away and not go around to other countries and in a snide way undermine a president.. no Democratic Party would refuse to work with a President like this 100 per cent group who has threatened impeachment, death and anything else they could think of.

No Dept of Justice Democrat like R. would appoint a person like Clintons Mueller to work against our President after Comey told him that was who he should appoint.

It's more than obscene. The f**e news, FBI leaders, CIA leaders, Homeland leaders and dishonest judges and litigators throughout the country plus Rinos who refuse to honor the constitution are working against us.

If you don't agree read the Logan Act and see if these individuals qualify being totally against the law.

OK, if this letter is genuine and it expresses Obama's good will toward President Trump, then why are all you Obama worshipers not doing likewise? Why have you ignored your leader and launched the most vicious attacks any president has ever had to face?

Doubt he wrote it. Not is preachy style and he was never that short. He's have left a 45 min. video in which his point was made in the first 2 min, and the rest of the time bashing Republicans.

That letter would make BHO a lying sack of sh*t. He has proven, since leaving office, that nothing in a letter like that, has been demonstrated in his recent actions.

It's Trump who creates f**e news and lies, lies and more lies. His pardon of Arpaio was illegal. He is undermining everything America stands for!

I have nothing but good will toward Trump. I just wish he'd get his head out of his ass. He is simply narcissistic, egotistical and clueless.

When, and if, he learns to be a statesman, a man capable of leading rather then tweeting, a man able to learn from others around him rather than firing anybody who crosses his path, then I might have respect for the man and not just the office.
