Congratulations for understanding how and what should be the determining factor in a gift. You are correct. It is not what someone else says is correct but what the giver knows to be correct.

Thank you, as always you have a deeper understanding. The best gifts I ever received were things that reminded me of good times; most of them were simple. Mr. Bunker is in the best position to know what gift will make his wife smile. Thank you again.  :P :P

Price a Perazzii or Beretta shotgun and then talk about love. Definitely go for the Perazzii Skeet or Trap shotgun. OOPPS ...not in your tiny flower budget?

Nothing says love quite as much as a box of heart attack waiting to happen and flowers that will be in the trash the next day. Nothing against chocolates or flowers, other than them being so temporary. But, Californians are known to be disposable society.

At least Ms. Bunker will be out in the fresh air, enjoying the sun on her skin, and the memories of her brother as she gets her exercise. That alone is love.

Kevyn, you are quite sharp today. Kudos.

I have been to 16 foreign countries and 38 states. I have never met a single man who gave a woman a shotgun as a present. This doofus must have been such an incredible loser with women in his youth.

Clueless, absolutely clueless. Just the kind of manly-man that Vladimir Putin would like to date.

Brian.....It's a redneck thing.

As long as his wife is cool with it good for her.

I won't defend him but I won't put him down either. My wife and I go shooting together several times a year so it is something she'd use and it will last much longer than flowers. To each their own and as long as it doesn't hurt anyone I say go for it, after all he knows her much better than any of us do.

I do not think him clueless, if you read further on, it is a sentimental gift. You are the one that is clueless, not everyone IS OBLIGATED to think the way you do. Gifts should always come from the heart, not the SOS that men think that other men are giving to their significant other! Sometimes your comments are so unthinking that I wonder if you should see a doctor to make sure you do not have the onset of senile dementia; here is a link so you can check out the symptoms.

The next time the temperature gets over 100 and you reach for the thermostat to turn on your AC, remember that it was invented by a red neck from the south. And the next time you are stuck on the highway and need a tow truck, remember that a good ol boy, a southerner invented your means of rescue.

You turn your nose up, and use terms like red necks to label good hearted, smart people who work hard and yes they have different ideas about having fun. All I can say, which incidentally is not an endearment, is bless your heart!

Its a long story, but I found the most immaculate Remington mod. 1100 LT 20 for Mrs. Bunker!! That is a special gun to her, and I think she will be happy!! Oh! She's getting ammo too! Also some flowers.
Yes I am bragging on myself!! It covers me for the anniversary too.
I'm excited!!

Excellent choice Archie I know a lot of women that would love to get a new gun for Valentines Day

There are reasons Republicans love shotguns. They are the reason their father was forced to marry their mother. If not for shotguns half of them would never have been born.

BTW, how's the weather in Dogpatch today???

Your folks will tell you all about the shotgun marriage. I am sure you are grateful to have your father's name. BTW, dog patch's weather is just fine. I was wondering, did your significant other buy you a "No No" for Valentine's Day? Got to maintain that just waxed, hairless, and feminine soft skin.... I am sure it keeps your Pseudofolliculitis barbae under control.
