In a Democratic society you are entitled to promote with your own resources all the welfare for the people that you want. It is the Federal Governments responsibility to protect our boarders and defend against enemies both foreign and internal. I consider you to be of the later. Mike

Nicki, let me ask you a question. If the SHTF and there is a run on the banks. How much do you think FDIC is going to be able to bail out the peoples money. FDIC is like SS. A s**m. The Fed Govt is $20,000,000,000 in debt, and that's not the real figure, it's 100 times higher in reality. I keep just enough in banks and other institutions to do daily and monthly business, the rest goes into brass, lead, silver and gold, long range food, water as well as some hoarded cash which loses value every year because of our esteemed politicians. Your President Trump is trying to change that, trying to bring the dollar back except your party and some elitist repubs are doing everything they can to stymie him at every turn. Why don't you put your bias aside for one year and give the guy a chance? If without so much resistance as is being applied now, he hasn't progressed our Country, I'll jump on the band wagon. Unfortunately, the resistance is not only not going to recede, I believe it's going to increase because ya'll are increasingly enraged that you haven't been able to remove him. Oh well, that has to really hurt, to have your butt hurt for 6 whole months. Mike

No the Dems haven't been trying to be like Reps, they have become like hi way men. If anything the Repubs have become like the Dems, both stealing from the middle class and poor for their own greed. They would steal from the rich but the rich would bury everyone of them who tried. I wanted to respond to an earlier statement of yours but realized that your statement was so stupid (as usual) that responding would make me look stupid also.

Carolyn, follow along, listen to what each has to say. Listen to your heart. When they come on line reach out to Linda Joy, KanKune, PennyLynn, Parfret, Loki, BadBobby and seveal others. These people are compassionate and very smart. They can be trusted. Mike

The democratic party is an other big business party its just that the Republican party is so far right that it makes the democrats like socialists but there is a reason Hillary was paid $ 240,000 to make a luncheon speech at Goldman Sachs to tell them what they wanted to hear that the Democratic party is a stooge that bends over for big business just like their Republican counterparts

Read you history books man The Democratic party passed the wagner act in 1935 giving working people the right to v**e to go union in a company with out getting fired, or their heads bashed in by company thugs, but by the 1980's stood in silence as Republicans attacked unions more than any time since the early 20th century and union membership in the private sector fell from 25 % of the work force to 6 % today and Democrats offered no resistance. 75 years of labor movement in the US the most violent labor movement in the history of the world with broken bodies death for people just trying to scratch out a living at s***e wages and all wiped out by 2000 with out so much as a whimper

This is true But The progressives in the 1930's gave the people a new deal and in the 1940 engineered the great compression during wartime price controls by lifting up the lower classes and taxing away much of the wealth of the super rich and passing the National Labor Relations Act, by the mid 1950's the average working man or woman had seen their wages double of what it had been in 1929 and the wealth of the super rich ad seen their wealth reduced by as much as 50 % and in the three decades following WW-ll the greatest middle class the world had ever seen was created in the process and the National debt reduced from 20 % of GDP to 32 % of GDP by 1979. Through that Period most working people could support a wife and a couple kids on a single income something impossible today

You truly are a dumbass. Ever heard of Dodd/Frank? You need to go on another site because here you just show your stupidity. Mike

Of course I've heard of Dodd Frank but It wasn't passed until 2010 and Paulson and Goldman Sachs took their unethical profits in 2009. In the Case of G.S. They pocketed $12 billion from their bets on CDS's that the securities they marketed for big fees but the Fed Treasury gave them $15 billion in bail out funds and the No body knows how much from the Federal Reserve in guarantee of toxic assets or loans. Then the fed bought Government treasuries, 85 billion per month to keep interest rates low for seven years so the banks could re capitalize. In the mean time the oligarchs kept the huge salaries and bonuses they had paid them selves running their businesses in the ground. If Glass Stegall Act had not been repealed in 1999 there would have been no need for Dodd Frank. There would be no to big to jail banks but even before it was repealed it was not being enforced. in the late 1900's City Bank merged with Travelers group and bought Solomon Brothers and Smith Barney brokerage houses a clear violation of the 1933 Glass Stegall act but no body was regulating and hadn't been since Rony Ragun was elected in 1980 but City wanted to make it all legal so they pushed fro repeal of the act along with Clintons treasury secretary Robert Rubin. Senator and chairman of the Senate Banking Committee Phil Gram(R-T ) wrote the bill the Republican Congress rushed it through and Bill Clinton signed it In to law in 1999 and Robert Rubin resigned and went to work for City group where he was paid $115 million over the next ten years and Phill Gram resigned and whet to work for the bid Swiss Bank UBS

We are a democratic Republic but most of our democratic institutions have had to be fought for. Landless peasants could not v**e until mid 19th century women not until 1920 b****s not until the 14th amendment was passed t was legal to work children in factories until child labor laws were passed by liberals. But democracy has suffered over the last 40 years. Democracy and Capitalism as been forever locked in battle some Democracy surges such as the during the gilded of the 19th early 20 th centuries and from 1933 to about 1973 but for over the last 40 years capitalism has been winning and working and the middle class has suffered because of it

When Obama stepped into the oval office he found a deficit of 1.3 trillion on the desk and a financial system in ruins millions of America under water on their mortgages loosing their savings pensions and 750,000 jobs disappearing every month the American auto industry going down the tube. With federal revenue dropping like a rock as jobs disappeared, bankruptcies, rampant stores closing left ad right and government expenditures rapidly expanding as the economy imploded. We were only saved when the Federal Reserve dished out eleven trillion in loans and guarantee of toxic assets to the wall street investment banks and the commercial insurer AIG. The trend of tax cuts to the rich and barrow and spend began with the rise of Republicanism in the 1980 e******n of Rony Ragun and the nation went from a nation that saved 10 % of earnings to zero % and from 900 billion of National debt to 20 trillion. Obama only had a majority in both houses for 15 months not near enough to reverse a 35 year trend that actually began in the early 1970's. But It didn't matter because the Democrats by 1980 wanted to erase its legacy of the new deal and be more like Republicans and there friends on wall street. Bill Clinton was more Republican that Rony Ragun and Obama was from the same school neither of them were progressives they were Bush light

Hedge fund Manager John Paulson made five billion dollars in 2009 betting that the wall street engineered housing bubble was going to burst, by working with Goldman Sachs to create mortgage backed collateralized backed debt obligations packed with liar loans that were destined to fail, selling them to investors around the world as being safe as government Treasuries then buying Credit Default Swaps from AIG that would pay off if and when the securities failed and they failed. AIG didn't have the money to pay the winners so the Government bailed them out to the tune of $185 billion. Paulson made five billion, Goldman Sachs made 12 billion. It was all taxed at cap gains of 15 % in an Egalitarian society these crooks would pay at least 50 % of five billion and a lot of Americans who need health insurance but need food stamps could have it. In the 1930's 40's 50's 60's and 70's we taxed all income over say three million at 91 % and created the largest middle class in history and paid down the national debt from 120% of GDP in 1945 to 32% of GDP in 1979 then Reagan was elected and its been trickle down Republican economics ever since

In your Egalitarian society , there would not be this excess to defraud, your crook would be dirtibuting black market toilet paper, and we would all be on food stamps, fighting to find what food was available.
