The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will ultimately cost between $4 trillion and $6 trillion, with medical care and disability benefits weighing heavily for decades to come, according to a new analysis.

The bill to taxpayers so far has been $2 trillion, plus $260 billion in interest on the resulting debt. By comparison, the current federal budget is $3.8 trillion.

Our health care system WAS the best in the world before the Marxist democrats decided we had a health care crisis. Then the dumb assed republicans agreed so as to not look mean and voila we have a phony health care crisis.

I owe no one health care and no one owes me health care. I purchase the best health care insurance I can afford, it will take care of most things, but there are things it doesn't cover and a limit on how much total can be spent on my care.

Catastrophic health care policies have always been available to everyone, I have had them too when I could not afford anything better. When I could not afford any kind of insurance, I went without. I had to negotiate with my doctors up front the amount of care they would provide and I had to provide as to how I would pay them for services rendered. Some times it took five or so years to pay off the doctor but he got paid and I got care. I never used an emergency room for care!

Obama will use Obama care to declare firearms a health hazard and will deny care to anyone possessing them. If you are too fat, good luck, it is nothing but a way of controlling the behavior of the citizenry of this country.

Where did you come up with the 40,000 number? Maybe they should have gone to the emergency room for care, where they can't be turned down. Care is available to almost everyone who knows how to work the system, and the Marxists/democrats have been teaching folks how to s**m the system for years.

I've been saying NO to Obamacare since the day Harry Reid and company said it was there, but they foisted it off on us, anyway. Today I heard that small businesses say they just can't afford to continue to supply healthcare so they are cutting working hours to stay below the place where they have to do so. If one has to provide his own healthcare but gets fewer hours at work I just don't understand how Obamacare is helping those who work for a living. I guess all of them have to go on the dole.

You are very right but have you stopped to think about why they wanted in that business so badly. Could it be that they wanted only to get as many people as possible dependent on government, as possible?

What they wanted was to be able to set up the "exchanges", wh**ever that is, and half the states have refused to do that so they will get to do it. Yes, they wanted Single Payer insurance that real left leaners howl about not getting and they will manage it inside of 5 years under Obamacare.

In actuality, the origination clause is certainly what should make this law unconstitutional since the damnable thing originated in the Senate and not the House. Of course, I am sure that it didn't even originate in the Senate since there was no debate or committee work done before Dirty Harry put the thing up for a v**e and passed it with only Democrat v**es.

Now how long before that new suit gets to and through the Supreme Court?

You are right on every point. The Left wants single payer healthcare so they can control "We The People." It's really that simple. The motivation is purely for political power and they want to take the guns to secure that power. We can only hope that the new case gets to the Supreme Court sooner rather than later.
