That is Welch, right? I sure appreciate your words of encouragement. I hope that Mr. Philosophy can find comfort in your words as well as others. It is hard to loose someone that you love and respect. One day I will tell you about that time, but for now this is not about me but our mutual friend. But, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

You are most sincerely welcome.

I think that God is aware of each of us and our problems. I do not think that he/she heals us at times in ways we can see or understand. I believe that there are times when our problems make us stronger or prepares us for things that are ahead; and without the training with overcoming problems that we would just give up. At times the training helps us decide what our "mission" in life, for example those that learn to live with depression make the most compassionate doctors, nurses, and counselors. Each day is a training day for a better tomorrow. Of course it is God's hand that gently guides us but the opportunity to see the lesson must never be underestimated. We as the children of God are trained by the most loving of parent and that training at times seems harsh, but all leads to in the end to our purpose and when we pay attention we become better because of that training. There are no magic pills, magic words, and no one will rescue us with words. Our problems must be faced with the knowledge that as my new uncle says "this too will pass."

Do not misunderstand, I see people who give over their problems to God and seem content. But, I also see the very same people face more difficult problems later on. Perhaps because they refused to see the lesson(s) earlier. I admire your belief in "God will make it all go away." I hope that nothing ever shakes your belief system.
