That is right. I find myself comfortable with your views & ideas.

That has been going on here but there seems to be a lack of progress.

It is better if we first look for what we can agree on before we tackle the opposing ideas.

Perhaps, there needs to be a topic that asks for "one" thing each one of us feels IS right. I sometimes think back to the topic at Christmas -- what we feel blessed for that moment in time. I think perhaps we have all been so engrossed with WHAT is wrong that we have lost sight of what IS right. It's a thought.

That is much more than just a though it is key to what is really happening.

Ahhh, jay-are, "staying 'your' course" I see. It might not hurt if you came "on over" and joined us. You never know until you try. I would rather be in a boat with others, attempting to paddle in unison, trying to accomplish a common goal, than paddling myself into a circle, knowing the end result will have accomplished "nothing" and just end up being exhausted by it all.

If you all are paddling toward a cliff, I am definitely not going to join you. First I have to agree with the direction we are paddling before I will join you.

If you are here looking for the t***h You are not likely to find it.

If you are looking for open minds there are some here but good luck & let me know if you find some one who don't agree with you who has an open mind.

If you wish to find out how to fix this countries problems you will find that there is no agreement as to what the problems are or agreement on what to do about them.

We have all lived in the every day world & see things different.

Our life's have been alike in more ways that they differ.

There are many here that feel things are not going well but refuse to see just where the problems are coming from.

They cling to hopes that have died & feel that what is happening will change for the better if we only had more of what they have been lead to believe is the best way.
If you are here looking for the t***h You are not ... (show quote)

with that being said...can you see an internal war brewing in the future because itz now time for one party to become dominent and the other to go extinct. compromise iz now a 4-letter word. myself, i bat right handed.

Well, that goes without saying, donchaknow!! Just curious, who on OPP would you want to stand at the bow of the boat, to let us know if that "proverbial cliff/waterfall" was visible on the horizon or for that matter "rapids" Undercurrents, those nasty undertoads, (yes, undertoads), most deceptive. I think we can both agree that the waters are indeed fraught with invisible as well as visible dangers.

I'm finding that while I used to say I'm ambidextrous, of late I "seem" to have a tendency towards being a "righty" as opposed to a "lefty". Some of y'all, it would appear, have rubbed off on me.

Interesting. Gonna have to ponder on that one. Must confess, that when you say Tea Party Conservatives, I immediately think of Mr. Cruz, and he's not my cup of tea. I find some "T" Party folks on OPP much more user friendly than Mr. Cruz. Just so you know. 8-)

Think maybe my view of him "might" be somewhat colored by my feeling, at the time of the shutdown, it felt like "for me" he was attempting to take us right over that waterfall, and I was downright scared. Just an observation.

It is easy to criticize free actions as long as you are free to be free, but you wouldn't be so critical of our free system if you were trapped in a facist state.

We on the right recognize the value of our freedom. The left recognizes the power freedom gives them to manipulate people by convincing them they are less free than some others.

You were scared he was taking us over the waterfall, and I was scared he was going to back down and give in, and by giving in we would flow right over the waterfall of Obamacare. You didn't realize he was paddling against the flow toward Obamacare.

jay-are, isn't that's what grand about this country, that we have the freedom to criticize? If we all sat back on our laurels, so to speak, and got lulled into a false sense of security, there we would all go, over that waterfall in that boat, the smiles wiped totally off our faces.

I wasn't aware I was being critical.
