If you are looking for open minds there are some here but good luck & let me know if you find some one who don't agree with you who has an open mind.

If you wish to find out how to fix this countries problems you will find that there is no agreement as to what the problems are or agreement on what to do about them.

We have all lived in the every day world & see things different.

Our life's have been alike in more ways that they differ.

There are many here that feel things are not going well but refuse to see just where the problems are coming from.

They cling to hopes that have died & feel that what is happening will change for the better if we only had more of what they have been lead to believe is the best way.

It's because change is scary. Clinging to the familiar, no matter how destructive, gives people a false sense of comfort. We are a nation of cowards. When we hurt, we want pain medicine, right NOW! When we drive somewhere we want people to get out of our way, right NOW!
We have no patience anymore, no tolerance and no desire to experience discomfort of any kind. We would rather pretend that somebody else will fix things, while we maintain our comfort level.
All the squabbling and insults here, are generated by fear. Fear that what someone says may be right and their world view wrong. Anger is merely an expression of fear. Trying to " convince" someone of something is impossible, but giving them the information is always valuable. You never know when something will stick.

The thing is that through it all we may be seeking the same answers or the same results.

For t***h is what comes from the sum total of what we all believe.

We will never find the t***h if we keep bringing up how we differ or how wrong others are.

For the real t***h is only some thing we can all agree on.

For as long as the sun continues to shine there is hope that we can keep searching for the right answers.

It is a statement of my views. It is not a matter of it being right or wrong or being true.

This also holds you views in the same light.

For it is only if we agree & others agree with us do we move towards the t***h.

We will only come together in our views if that is what we really want.

It will never happen as long as there are those that keep where we differ as the main course of contact.

Ahhh, jay-are, "staying 'your' course" I see. It might not hurt if you came "on over" and joined us. You never know until you try. I would rather be in a boat with others, attempting to paddle in unison, trying to accomplish a common goal, than paddling myself into a circle, knowing the end result will have accomplished "nothing" and just end up being exhausted by it all.

I only have a general idea of what is wrong & my saying in the past as to what I think is wrong has not been received well by some.

It will come about only if we truly want to look for the good with in each of our self's & others.

We need to look at each other to see what we have in common.

Once we exchange ideas of how we think & act alike can we move on to looking at how we differ.

It is not that we need to agree completely with each other but we do need to have a strong common ground to start with.

That is right. I find myself comfortable with your views & ideas.

That has been going on here but there seems to be a lack of progress.

It is better if we first look for what we can agree on before we tackle the opposing ideas.
