Apparently I misunderstood the term, "burn." I thought it meant I 'burnt' you to protect myself.

No she said all of those things about me instead of you and that has to burn you.

At least, a kitten would have slept or napped...an infrequent activity by ProgenyE.

I am so glad I swallowed the scotch before I got to the punch line. Think about it. It's true but I'll tell you this. If men had to have babies there wouldn't be any. This will sound sick but I watched my granddaughter being born, she was a tiny premie thing, fit in the palm of my hand. My little finger nail was bigger than her hand. What my daughter went thru convinced me that men can put up with getting shot, kicked in the nuts, get beat to crap in a fight, NO way could a man go thru 9 mos. of a hugh weight gain, all that goes with ragng hormones and child birth. HATS OFF TO YOU GALS. Mike

Slatten mowed the lawn today, and after doing so sat down and had a cold Diet Dr. Pepper. The day was really quite beautiful, and the drink facilitated some deep thinking.

The Sgt. Major walked by and asked him what he was doing, and he said, "Nothing." The reason he said "nothing" instead of saying "just thinking" is because she then would have asked, "About what?" At that point he would have had to explain that men are deep thinkers about various topics, which would lead to other questions.

Finally he pondered an age old question: Is giving birth more painful than getting kicked in the nuts? Women always maintain that giving birth is way more painful than a guy getting kicked in the nuts, but how could they know?

Well, after another Diet Dr. Pepper and some more heavy deductive thinking, he came up with an answer to that question. Getting kicked in the nuts is more painful than having a baby, and even though he obviously couldn't really know, here is the reason for his conclusion. A year or so after giving birth, a woman will often say, "It might be nice to have another child."

On the other hand, you never hear a guy say, "You know, I think I would like another kick in the nuts."

Time for another Diet Dr. Pepper and then maybe a nap.

I'll second that. I was in the delivery room for two of mine. I let my wife do the delivery room thing for my daughters babies.

My Maggie and I are doing well, so far.

I am still feeling low for being unable to accompany Boot on his trip.

And, how are all the 'E' family members progressing?

I can understand your upset at not being able to travel with him. He missed you terribly.

We are all progressing well, thank you.
