As a sitting US Senator, and out of respect for the office, McCain deserved the respect that his passing called for. Also, anyone that will allow himself to be strapped into a fighter aircraft is a hero and usually performs heroically. That being said, McCain had his own skeleton in his closet. I'm not making accusations but McCain's skeleton involved the death of 134 sailors aboard the USS Forrestal in 1963. Look up 'wet' start, then decide if all the honorifics shown were truly warranted.

If these make me a freak, so be it. In my opinion (note, I said opinion), there is no
such thing as a right or wrong opinion. An opinion is nothing more than the
verbalization of a belief and I am not smart enough to tell anyone their belief is right

or disagree with their belief but not to declare it right or wrong. Why can't they do
the same? What are they afraid of?

Its Detroit and he sells Chicken. That's like selling water in the Sahara. And the prices are not cheap. $6.00 for a Chicken Sandwich.

When setting prices, you set them based on what the market will bear. That being said, if he couldn't get $6 for a chicken sandwich, he wouldn't charge $6. If his customers are willing to pay $6 for that chicken sandwich you can rest assured it is worth $6. If they don't to spend that $6 and he doesn't want to change his price the customer is free to ease on down the road. I suspect it's worth the six bucks.

MPLSMAN, When I first read your post I was really concerned about where you were going. Since you explained I do feel better about it but please watch how you post. Sensitivities can be intense.

I am a common-type up here in *upstate NY* as I am a strict Constitutionalist and a stalwart conservative. I have been active @ the GlockTalk and Firearms fora (forums) for many years and am looking for a new home so to speak. I hope this is it, but if not, I'll drop away silently as I did in those other forums and go elsewhere.
My one fault is I simply cannot tolerate insincerity, untruth, or deviousness.
And, there ya have it... maybe I'll be expelled before I drop out. ;-)

Skyhook, Happy to have you aboard. By now you've had the opportunity to read a lot of welcomes and there's not much I can add -- except to keep your sense of humor.

We know that despite AARP's awareness that it'd seniors overwhelmingly opposed the bill, the "nonpartisan organization" chose to serve President Obama's agenda.

The 71 pages of emails show an AARP management taking orders from the White House, scripting the president's talking points, working to keep it'd board "in line" and pledging a fealty to "the cause." Seniors deserve to know all this, as AARP seeks to present itself as neutral in this agenda.

Remember when this was circulated before the election? I destroyed my AARP card then and am seriously thinking of joining AMAC. At least I haven't heard that they are selling their members out as AARP evidently did.

Namaste, You and the folks that agree with you are hypocrites and lack any kind of integrity credibilty. You keep talking about how work does this and does that when America and other Caucasions raped, killed kidnapped and sold into slavery other human beings. You forced them to work for you for nothing and against their will under the threat of flogging or even death. You stole their names, you oblierated their religion and beat and hung those that resisted. You wrote in law that they were 3/5ths of a human being to disinfranchise and take away any semblence of human dignity and rights that were afforded the so called founding fathers. Now all of a sudden you want to make it seem like America isn't guilty of mass genocide to the Native Americans and people of color. And how welfare and intitlements are so unfair distructive to America with her record of abuse and theft. You should be ashamed! Check your history.

I'm not sure who said this, nor am I sure of the exact verbiage, so I'll admit to paraphrasing.

If you took all of the money in circulation and redistributed it equally to all persons it wouldn't be long before those that had nothing before redistribution would have nothing after redistribution and those that had plenty before redistribution would have the same plenty after redistribution. The net change would be zero.

AuntiE,

I'm not sure which two you're talking about but since were talking about the (possible) succession of our current president, doesn't the issue of 'natural born citizens' become moot?

There's a lot of talk about impeachment of Obama. Reading the following list, I can only comment 'Be careful what you wish for...'

United States presidential line of succession

The United States presidential line of succession defines who may become or act as President of the United States upon the incapacity, death, resignation, or removal from office (by impeachment and subsequent conviction) of a sitting president or a president-elect.

Current order

This is a list of the current presidential line of succession, as specified by the United States Constitution and the Presidential Succession Act of 1947 as subsequently amended to include newly created cabinet offices.

1 Vice President of the United States Joe Biden (D)

2 Speaker of the House John Boehner (R)

3 President pro tempore of the Senate Patrick Leahy (D)

4 Secretary of State John Kerry (D)

5 Secretary of the Treasury Jacob Lew (D)

6 Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel (R)

7 Attorney General Eric Holder (D)

8 Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack (D)

9 Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker (D)

10 Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez (D)

11 Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius (D)

12 Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan (D)

13 Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx (D)

14 Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz (D)

15 Secretary of Education Arne Duncan (D)

16 Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki (I)

17 Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano (D)

There are some scary names on this list.

Thanks for pin-pointing the misunderstanding, and the reason for it. My apology.
