If traceyanne doesn't know what "media matters" is, then I suspect she has little knowledge of what is happening with the decline of the main stream media. As with many teachers I have known they have an inflated opinion of their own self-worth. The current decline is both graduation rates and ability of those graduating is ample testimony of this.
"upcoming"? Do you know of any legislative body in the US that really believes "hate speech laws" don't violate the First Amendment? Advocating violence is already a crime and the government has gone a long way towards limiting our freedom of association but the article referenced here has solid facts and reasons for their assertions.
Probably with the full knowledge of their supervisors!
If anyone believes he was stopped because his "license-plate lamp" was not working "properly", I have some ocean front property in Kansas I would like to sell. The guy had a "legally registered handgun" and the cops had to know it. That is the reason gun registration is a bad idea. In Texas, the individual is permitted, not the gun. The cop has to run your driver's license before he would know you have a Concealed Carry Permit. And that won't tell him if you have a 17 round Glock or a 6 round revolver.
I'm certain they said the same thing about Reagan and the dream turned out to be a nightmare for the democrats. The Republicans have done sooooooo well with their RINOs, maybe it is time for another true conservative.
I am a conservative, however, I have a great fear of the Patriot Act and the hundreds of Executive Orders which all undermine our Constitution and the rule of law. Further, many of the laws written now, such as the immigration law before the Senate, give carte blanche to the bureaucrats to make up their own regulations which have the force of law. All this is unconstitutional in my opinion.
There are times I would rather have a not so good man who is a better leader. As a Texan I knew George W. was a good man but I also knew he was not a conservative.
