People have been voting their own self interest. If that happens to be a vote to steal from others so they can continue to freeload, then that is what they do. The left thrives on dependency - the more people that become dependent on their programs and handouts (that is, robbing others to pay the slugs for their votes), so they will continue to "progress" their agenda. Their goal is 100% dependency on government. They are importing millions of compliant foreigners to prop them up permanently (the "down trodden" from south of the border will gladly take the bait and support those that gave them the "good life" for free).

Some years ago there was a news article (20-20 show maybe) where they looked into a family that had several generations of deadbeats living in the same house. The kids didn't go to school and the females of child bearing age were prego. The real outrage was when the reported asked her if she was comfortable taking all the handouts from the government (other people) and her response was basically shut the hell up and keep the checks coming. That is what we are dealing with.

This is kind of thought provoking. It puts into perspective the mess the politicians and banks (i.e., Federal Reserve and their cabal) have gotten us into. Who am I kidding? We the people got ourselves into this mess by not fixing the problem. That is to say, we kept putting the same corrupt politicians in office decade after decade because we were not smart enough to demand better.

This video also helps visualize the day when you will need a wheelbarrow of green backs to buy a loaf of bread (kind of like the Wiemar Republic circa 1930).

Yes, O2 generators are potentially hazardous - if H2 levels are allowed to build up in the cells, they can explode. Not a pleasant prospect, especially if you are the watch stander (or anyone else in the immediate vicinity). Proper care and feeding of an O2 generator will keep it running safely.

I have always thought H2 might be a good interim step in improving transportation. I wonder how it would play out in very arid places where water is at a premium (assuming H2 production might be a local thing rather than a few mega plants as is done with petroleum). Would you power the infrastructure, grow crops, or take a shower? Might not be able to do all of them.

Another technology the submarines use is desalinization which is how the fresh water is made when away from port. It might make sense to look at desalinization to alleviate some of the drought effects before (or in conjunction with) creating an H2 economy. Just a thought.

The left and the media (isn’t that redundant) likes to paraphrase President Eisenhower’s farewell address summarizing the speech as “beware of the military industrial complex”, which he did say as quoted in part below:

“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.”

What is never quoted is the prescient next few sentences of the speech:

“Akin to, and largely responsible for the sweeping changes in our industrial-military posture, has been the technological revolution during recent decades.

In this revolution, research has become central, it also becomes more formalized, complex, and costly. A steadily increasing share is conducted for, by, or at the direction of, the Federal government.

Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been overshadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields. In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery, has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research. Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity. For every old blackboard there are now hundreds of new electronic computers.

The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present – and is gravely to be regarded.”

Did you get that? Let me repeat the really important part again:

“The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present – and is gravely to be regarded.”

Can anyone cite an instance where government money in academe and research has resulted in something horrific or otherwise destructive to the country (and in some cases, the world)? Say, would train car loads of government funny money in academic research possibly have something to do with the new religion of global warming (now called global climate change)? Would all of those fine, upstanding professors actually cook the books for the purpose of keeping the cash pouring in? We know the data is false and that the models are wrong (too many variables ignored), and we know that the gloom and doom preaching has reached a state not seen since medieval Europe when the Catholic church punished anyone who disagreed with their view of the world and the universe (anyone notice all the politico, academics and media drones calling for punishment of “climate change deniers”…sound vaguely familiar?).

So follow the money to Gore’s "climate" cabal and the river of government money and you will realize that it is all about money and control, not the health of the planet. On that note, given the catastrophic history of this little orb, there is absolutely nothing we can do to threaten the planet – it will continue on with or without us and it will continue to change and get hit with cosmic junk for billions more years.

But I digress. The GW scam is only one example of government cash gone wild. Eisenhower was wise enough to see where the government-academic complex was headed and he tried to warn us. I think his government-academic complex warning was more dire than the much quoted “military-industrial complex” statements (the military is but one source of cash flowing into academe). He may have been basing the warning on what he saw developing in the US but also what he saw perpetrated by German and Japanese “scientists” at the behest of, and with the funding of their governments during WW II….

Should the 17th amendment be repealed? This topic gets no real media attention, but it is clearly an issue that affects the future of the country as well as provides some context for how we ended up in the mess we are currently in.

For those that don’t know what the 17th amendment is (e.g., democrats and other low information types), it was adopted in 1913 to take the election of US Senators away from the State legislatures (and changing election of senators to popular vote). So what difference (at this point) does it make? Well, a quick review of American history will show a definite trend of:

• Growth of the federal government
• Extreme growth of the federal debt - what is it now…$18 trillion (that is 18 million million, or 18 million stacks of a million (increasingly worthless) dollars.)
• Steady infringement of the federal government into areas reserved for the States in the Constitution
• Steady decline in individual rights
• Unchecked implementation of “trade” agreements and arms treaties that put the country at a disadvantage

So, weigh in – should the 17th amendment be repealed? Should we continue the pointless act of having two chambers in congress elected by the same self-interested people (who are heavily influenced by the infamous “special interests” and government-media complex)?

If people can’t, as a group, make intelligent choices for the House (seriously, look at any of the career politicos in congress and ask yourself “are these REALLY the best people in the country to represent us?”), letting us elect the Senate as well is just doubling down on a losing bet. We have historically shown that we are not up to the task and we need the checks and balances to save us from ourselves.

This is my first foray into blogging in about 15 years. I had to give it up because I let it take too much of my time. So much going on that I have to become more vocal again. AntiPC reflects my view of the agenda of political cowardice (aka PC)....it will be the end of the country and the west if reason is not applied.

I look forward to the discussions and debates to come.
