You would prefer Biden's intentions?

Keep voting blue and you won't have to worry about the survival of our Republic - it will be gone.

If we continued the wage increases that unions gave us, all of us but the top 1 percent would be much better off. Both parties were bribed by corporations and the wealthy to pass laws holding wages down over the past 55 years. See the graph below for the facts of what was done to America's working class by the greedy. And it was done using anti-union laws passed by congress and signed by the presidents.

I'm sure there is enough blame here to go around, Nick, but let's not deflect from the current problem at hand which, in my opinion, happens to be the disaster we are facing that is going on right now. It is too great to ignore and by blaming Trump continually, we are not going to solve it.

I am neither liberal nor a Biden fan. Strictly a moderate living on social security and our savings. And yes, I'm definitely better off financially than I was 4 years ago. More money left at the end of the month. More trips to Karaoke. No issues buying food. No problem buying gasoline. Happy days. Good times. And the sheer lunacy of trump's attempts to play king and destroy democracy along with the daily dose of lies.

I, too, am living on SS and savings. Unfortunately, the vast majority of Americans have to live on a salary which is being rapidly eroded by inflation, fueled largely by increased gas prices which were mostly caused by the policies Biden installed his first week in office and has pushed continuously his entire term. We won't even go into his spending policies and his border policies. I hope yours and my ability to keep up continues but I am very sorry for those who have to raise a family and survive on what they have to deal with in this mess we have now.

Well genius, compare today with 2020, and the shut-downs that occurred across the country.

Most people are better off, and most people make more money, and savers and investors make

a lot more.

Yes, let's do compare. The unnecessary and troublesome shutdowns are gone, no thanks to Joe Biden, but the lessening of the pandemic. People make a bit more in numbers but when you translate that into purchasing power it is less. Gas is twice as expensive as it was then. Groceries are way more expensive. We have vastly more illegals streaming into our Country, paid for by our government. (i.e. taxpayers) Murders are up, crime is up, wars are up. And you have the audacity to try to convince us that things are better now. Get serious, man.

How insulting Biden and his tax and spend Devilcrats comrades are, to actually believe anyone who invests would desire a tax on corporations which is really a tax on every retirement plan and other investments which are heavily invested in corporations. WE ARE NOT AS STUPID AS YOU STUPIDLY BELIEVE WE ARE!!!

Corporations don't pay taxes, people do.

As the liberals and Biden fans come out of the woodwork, we see the defense for the insanity we have been inflicted with. Does anyone think it makes any sense or is it purely an idealogical mirage? It is simply one of those things that I find impossible to explain, that is, how can anyone look at black and call it white.

That's the trouble with too many liberals in this Country. They refuse to see what is happening right in front of them.

This graph dosen't explain why Tesla's tax rate is 1.5%.

I don't know what Tesla's tax rate is but I do know that the push for electric vehicles has caused lots of changes, one of which is to subsidize the manufacture of them. Remember what I said about subsidies tend to produce more of whatever is being subsidized. Lower taxes is a form of subsidizing, as is increasing the cost of gasoline by stopping drilling and halting the construction of pipelines. I'm sure you remember that.

Thanks for your comment and intelligent observation . I really believe a national sales tax is the answer . I would benefit by not paying big bucks to a CPA every year for one thing and every body from the guy picking up cans in the ditch to the mucky muck would be contributing an equal percentage .
Thanks for your comment and intelligent observatio... (show quote)

Sorry I can't claim it as an original thought, Tom. There has been much discussion about a national sales tax and it may have some merit. Having just visited my accountant, I can see some merit myself.

I have to tell you, Tom, it has been shown over decades that almost every time taxes are cut, government revenue increases. Likewise, raising taxes decreases revenue. Why? Because corporations and the wealthy are able to take advantage of tax laws to reduce the tax they spend either by using tax shelters, which have been installed over the years by predominantly Democrat congresses or, in the case of large corporations, by moving all or part of their operations off shore, or both. Government spending has always resulted in inflation which hurts mostly the middle and lower classes. Not only that, taxing of the extreme upper class reaches only a small percentage of total income. The only sensible way to raise tax money is with evenly distributed taxing. Government has usually ignored this because "taxing the rich" sounds good to those who are not rich (class envy). Politicians, of both stripes, are interested in pleasing their constituents. If you tax something you get less of it, if you reduce taxes or subsidize something, you get more of it. Maybe term limits would have some positive effect on this practice.

You don't seem to be able or willing to differentiate between a successful fertilization and an unsuccessful one. God has His own way of handling improper ones. A successful one that is terminated is called murder, or, as you folks like to refer to it, "reproductive heath care."
