Last week, I took my grandchildren to a restaurant. My 8-year-old grandson asked
if he could say grace.

As we bowed our heads he said, "God is good, God is great. Thank you for the food
and I would thank you even more if Grandpa gets us ice cream for dessert.
And liberty, peace & justice for all. Amen!

Along with the laughter and nodding of heads from the other customers
nearby, I heard a woman at the next table remark, "That's what's wrong with this
country. Kids today don't even know how to pray. Asking God for ice cream! Why -- I
never!"

Hearing this, my grandson burst into tears & asked me, "Did I do it wrong
Grandpa? Is God mad at me?

After I assured him that he had done a terrific job & that God was certainly
not mad at him, an elderly gentleman approached the table.

He winked at my grandson & said, "I happen to know that God thought that was
a great prayer.

"Really?" my grandson asked.

"Cross my heart," the man replied. Then, in a theatrical whisper, he added
(indicating the woman whose remark had started this whole thing), "Too bad
she never asks God for ice cream. A little ice cream is sometimes good for
the soul.

Naturally, I bought my grandchildren ice cream at the end of the meal. My
grandson stared at his ice cream for a moment, & then he did something I
will remember the rest of my life. He picked up his sundae and, without a word,
walked over & placed it in front of the woman.

With a big smile he looked her in the eye and told her, "Here ma'am, this is for you,
you grouchy old bitch. Shove it up your ass and cool off!"

Kinda brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it!

Sounds like something my grandson would have pulled when he was eight. How funny!

Well howdy neighbor! Glad to have you! I'm right here in the heart of the Texas Panhandle, so you are just down the road from me!
I know a bunch of you Okies, and love em to death!
Just keep in mind that as a Texan, I'm bound by our state Constitution to give you hell!😆
Now go out there and promote GREY POWER!!

That's OK, I'm used to getting hell from the Mrs. 😁😉
I guess I can be considered an Okie since I've been here almost 35 years with a 4 year break in Wyoming (long story). Born in Indiana, moved to California at 10 months old(before the fruits and nuts took over), went back to Indiana at 15. Then at 18 the Navy.

I will definitely be promoting GREY POWER.

A father walks into a restaurant with his young son. He gives the young boy 3 nickels to play with to keep him occupied. Suddenly the boy starts choking, going blue in the face. The father realizes the boy has swallowed the nickels and starts slapping him on the back. The boy coughs up 2 of the nickels, but keeps choking. Looking at his son, the father is panicking, shouting for help.

A well dressed, attractive, and serious looking woman, in a blue business suit is sitting at a coffee bar reading a newspaper and sipping a cup of coffee. At the sound of the commotion, she looks up, puts her coffee cup down, neatly folds the newspaper and places it on the counter, gets up from her seat and makes her way, unhurried, across the restaurant. Reaching the boy, the woman

carefully drops his pants; takes hold of the boy's testicles and starts to squeeze and twist, gently at first and then ever so firmly. After a few seconds the boy convulses violently and coughs up the last nickel, which the woman deftly catches in her free hand. Releasing the boy's testicles, the woman hands the nickel to the father and walks back to her seat in the coffee bar without saying a word.

As soon as he is sure that his son has suffered no ill effects, the father rushes over to the woman and starts thanking her saying, "I've never seen anybody do anything like that before, it was fantastic. Are you a doctor?"

"No," the woman replied….”A Divorce attorney."

LET'S MAKE OUR VOICES HEARD, AND DEMAND NATIONAL ATTENTION!!

Fantastic idea, count me and the Mrs. in. Been looking for something like this.

The handwriting was on the wall when Roe v. Wade was passed. First, the murder of unborn children. Next to the aged and infirmed, the mentally ill, etc. Then eventually to infanticide, killing children up to a certain age, ten or twelve who are physically, mentally, emotionally impaired and not wanted. Don't believe this could ever happen in America? You'll get used to it. You got used to the most horrible holocaust in the history of mankind. Oh yes, not only will many of you get used to it you'll call it "good, a benefit to the majority, saving valuable resources." And yet you piss and moan when a few kids occasionally get murdered in school. Hypocrites! You've created and gleefully encouraged a culture of death.

I am new at this forum and don't quite know how to operate it, so bear with my mistakes. I consider myself to be laid back but can be passionate on some topics. Abortion and the refugee problem, for instance. I consider myself to be a Constitutional conservative on most subjects. My mind is not made up on several issues even though I am 62 years old. I try to keep an open mind and listen to reason. Hopefully, being on this forum will be a good experience for you and me. I won't check it daily except when expecting an answer to a post.

Welcome aboard. I'm going to to go out on a limb and assume (I hate that word) that you are former Navy since you titled your post 'Hello Shipmates'. Really doesn't matter, but I'm former Navy myself, Communications Technician (morse intercept & cryptography), 9 years with the U.S. Naval Security Group. I too am a Constitutional conservative and also believe the oath oil took on entering the service is still in effect. I'm 72 and currently live in Oklahoma. Hope you enjoy your experiences here and don't let the liberals get to you.

Yes, that mythological body would be the planet Nibiru which is (supposed?) to pass through the solar system, close to Earth, this year.....as it supposedly has before. It is in supposed to be in some kind of very large elliptical orbit...yeah, right.

I'm taking that with a grain or two of salt...

I also hate people who insist on using the Enter or Exit door for the opposite purpose.

Where to get the money? How about cutting two-thirds of the intelligence agencies? Why do we need 17 intelligence agencies? Keep the CIA(foreign), NSA(national), DIA(military), and DHS(homeland).

The Media LIED! FBI Officially CLEARS General Flynn Of All Wrongdoing
Posted on February 16, 2017 by A. Michael Smith

General Michael Flynn is a hero who dedicated his life to this country. His forced resignation was nothing but a political assassination from Obama’s insiders. The mainstream media wants you to believe that Flynn had some secret relationship with Russia but that isn’t true and the intelligence community just confirmed it.

After reviewing the transcripts, the FBI found NO WRONG DOING!!

“The FBI reviewed intercepts of communications between the Russian ambassador to the United States and retired Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn — national security adviser to then-President-elect Trump — but has not found any evidence of wrongdoing or illicit ties to the Russian government, U.S. officials said.”

Another current U.S Intelligence official agreed with the FBI and told NPR ,

“there is no evidence of criminal wrongdoing in the transcripts of of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn’s conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak,

The official also said there was “absolutely nothing” in the transcripts that suggests Flynn was acting under instructions “or that the trail leads higher.”

“I don’t think [Flynn] knew he was doing anything wrong,” the official said. “Flynn talked about sanctions, but no specific promises were made. Flynn was speaking more in general ‘maybe we’ll take a look at this going forward’ terms.”

So why aren’t we listening to the officials who actually HEARD the calls?

Don’t be fooled, this isn’t about Flynn discussing sanctions or anything else with Russia for that matter. This is about delegitimizing a president.

There is a reason why Democrats are still determined to investigate Flynn even though he has already resigned. They are using this as a way to prove that Trump was “in with Russia” and therefore an illegitimate president.

Democrats will stop at nothing to get Trump out of the White House. They don’t care how many lives they have to ruin.

I'm very familiar with the USS Liberty incident as I was an analyst at the Naval Security Group detachment at the Navy Radio Station, Cheltenham, MD. We processed communications intelligence traffic from ships like the Liberty. In fact, I was on one of those ships for the year before being transferred to Cheltenham. It was the USNS Jose F. Valdez T-AG 169, a 'communications research' vessel which operated off the coast of Southern Africa in the Indian Ocean and South Atlantic. The Valdez was smaller than the Liberty and had NO armament other than small arms, Thompson's, carbines and Colt 1911 .45s so we couldn't even defend against a boarding party. A couple of the guys I worked with on Valdez went to Liberty from there. Yes, they were on it during the attack, both were lost. I still thank G-d I didn't get transferred there also. I also had a friend on the USS Pueblo when it was illegally captured by the North Koreans. He had also been on the Valdez when I was there. Back then we were called Communications Technicians now they are called Cryptologic Technicians. Google that one and you can find out everything they do.
