DAD ARRESTED FOR OBJECTING TO SCHOOL PORN

On May 5, 2014, practicing attorney William Baer was arrested, for “disorderly conduct” at a Gilford New Hampshire High School meeting for going over the school board's “two minute rule”.

He was arrested by Gilford's acting police chief Lt. James Leach. Contact: j.leach@gilfordpd.org
Baer was released on $700.00 personal recognizance, and is due in court in June.

He objected to his ninth grade, 14 year old daughter being given mandatory reading of the book “Nineteen Minutes” by Jodi Picoult, (specifically page 313), which describes in graphic detail a rape.
The book is supposed to be about a school shooting.

Parents had never been notified of the book, nor given the opportunity to opt out.

The school board apologized but added that it had been part of the school curriculum since 2007 and there had been no complaints.

I see much of the knee-jerk insults and name calling by a presumed labeling of another as left or right to demonstrate apathy for the state of America and its future. America gave the world, not always in practice but in foundational ideals, a higher definition of what it means to be a citizen in this world. Partisan War turns its back on those ideals, no matter how those on either side claim they are defending those ideals in this wasteful and destructive conflict. It is fight we cannot win on either side without destroying the very object we claim to love.

I am not saying abandon your values in order to find solutions to our ailing nation. I am saying this demonizing of each other is the disease. To move forward and grow each of us must resolve to live by a higher definition of our responsibility to this country. I feel the majority here tries to do so, yet we are human and have our lapses and sometimes a breaking point with the steady vitriol, I know I have.

If we could just sacrifice our opinions about other people or parties, not our personal values and ideals, and just stick with the issue at hand with religious civility, I think much good and real progress could be accomplished. Just leave personalities out of the picture entirely. When we see the other is not responding in the usual hateful way but being respectful, the need for defense or offense steadily lessens. Taking the time to actually get to know someone instead of filling in their character with pre-suppositions based on political affiliation will, I feel, ease tensions enough to make opp a real center for understanding and growth, solutions and healing.

Did you mention that the right is attempting to use the deaths of four Americans as a political card? Have you looked at the numbers of attacks by Jihadists on Americans in the last 4 presidencies? Obama has the least attacks and the least deaths.
Do you think that our government aided the terrorists? Did Obama or Clinton plan the attack? Did these four Americans count more than the hundreds that died in three separate attacks during Reagan's presidency? How about the world trade center attacks during Bush 2? Perhaps your "outrage" is just politics.

How many lies do you see here???

You assume wrong when you assume most women carry their weapon in their purses. Women who know their danger at the hands of the many weirdo's walking around among us carry their weapons in holsters on their bodies. You evidently do not know enough about women to even know what all they carry in their purses, so it would take several seconds more to draw a weapon from a woman's purse than it would from a holster designed for quick access.

Women are some of the most dedicated gun handlers in the world. Most strive to better themselves in everything they do, including gun handling. Before large caliber ammunition became so expensive we would go to the range at least once a month. We still go but we bought .22 cal. handguns so we can still shoot without having to mortgage the farm. We save our large caliber ammunition for the weirdo's that this government seems to find so valuable as citizens.

Existing gun control laws in the United States are effective.

Within the context that the meaning of effective in this particular discussion means a correlation of violent crime and murder rates in the United States in comparison to those in other industrialized nations primarily Western European and post soviet Eastern European countries.

We are all well aware that us citizens have easy access to all forms of firearms and in resent years even more so with many states adopting less stringent conceal and carry laws. How have these less stringent laws affected violent crime in comparison to other nations with similar private citizen laws to those that have very strict ownership laws.

The real reason Jay Leno was "retired" despite #1 ratings

These one liners might be why NBC retired Jay Leno a little early!

NBC was upset by the fact Leno's comments were ALWAYS right on target.

"I was going to start off tonight with an Obama joke, but I don't want to get audited by the IRS."

On NSA surveillance: "We wanted a president who listens to all Americans - now we have one."

On a new IRS commissioner: "He's called 'acting commissioner' because he has to act like the scandal doesn't involve the White House."

On closing the Guantanamo prison for terrorists: "If he really wants to close it, turn it into a government-funded solar power company. The doors
will be shut in a month."

Concerning the Benghazi , Associated Press, and IRS scandals: "Remember in the old days when President Obama's biggest embarrassment was Joe Biden?"

On Obama saying he didn't know about the IRS scandal: "He was too busy not knowing anything about Benghazi to not know anything about the IRS."

"The White House has a new slogan about Benghazi : Hope and change the subject."

"It's casual Friday, which means that at the White House, they're casually going through everybody's phone calls and records."

"It is not looking good for President Obama. Today his teleprompter took the fifth."

"Fox News has changed its slogan from 'Fair and Balanced' to 'See, I told you so!'"

On Obama's commencement address: "He told the young graduates their future is bright unless, of course, they want jobs."

On a Chicago man who set a record for riding a Ferris wheel: "The only other way to go around and around in a circle that many times is to read the official report on Benghazi ."

On White House claims of ignorance on the scandals: "They took 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' out of the Pentagon and moved it into the White House."

Now the last, and I think best!--

"These White House scandals are not going away anytime soon. It's gotten so bad that People in Kenya are now saying he's 100 percent American."

The Democrats will engage in personal attacks on Trey Gowdy and the Republicans, scream and scream about partisan politics, continue to hide information and witnesses, if rhey participate they will do everything they can to undermind the process, continue to try and marginalize any news source that is not in the tank for Obama, continue to lie, bring up Bush, and Obama will create some kind of crisis to divert attention away from the hearings. In summary, the Democrats will do everything they can to block the America people from knowing the truth.
