11 YR OLD SHOOTS ILLEGALS
BUTTE, MONTANA
Shotgun preteen vs. Illegal alien Home Invaders.

This is ancient BS. The right to keep and bear arms does not need this kind of silliness to justify it. The following is from Snopes.

Two armed illegal aliens perpetrating a home invasion were killed by an 11-year-old girl.

FALSE

Examples: [Collected via e-mail, December 2012]

Two illegal aliens, Ralphel Resindez 23 and Enrico Garza 26, probably believed they would easily overpower a home alone 11 year old Patricia Harrington after her father had left their two story home.

It seems the two crooks never learned two things, they were in Montana and Patricia had been a clay shooting champion since she was nine. Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father's room and grabbed his 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun.

Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the first to catch a near point blank blast of buck shot from the 11 year olds knee crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds to his abdomen and genitals. When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death before medical help could arrive.

It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen 45 caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery. The victim, 50 year old David Burien, was not so lucky as he died from stab wounds to the chest.

Origins: The above-quoted story about two armed illegal aliens killed during an attempted home invasion by an 11-year shotgun-wielding girl was posted to LibertyPost.org on 25 April 2007. Although the account was widely cited as a validation of anti-illegal immigration and/or pro-gun ownership positions, confirmation of the tale as a real-life incident was lacking.

The only documentation for this item was numerous
web sites all citing the same information, with no details of time or place (other than a reference to Montana). Searches of news databases (including Montana-based newspapers) failed to turn up any corresponding news stories containing any of the four names provided, and the name of one of the putative criminals ("Ralphel Resendez") just happened to echo an alias (Raphael Resendez-Ramirez) used by Angel Maturino Resendiz (also an illegal alien), the infamous "Railroad Killer."

Although many versions of this item cite the home invasion incident as having taken place in Butte, Montana, that area's sheriff has said no such thing occurred in that city: When asked about the authenticity of the events described in this story, Butte-Silver Bow Sheriff John Walsh told The Montana Standard that his office never investigated such an incident.

"This never happened," Walsh said.

The story claims the girl shot and killed the two intruders while she was home alone. The story doesn't provide a street address or attribute the information to any official sources.

Walsh brushed off the story as an urban myth.

"It's amazing how these things get around," he said.
The only news story (of recent vintage) we could turn up about a minor using a shotgun to kill two armed intruders attempting a home invasion robbery took place in December 2006 and involved a 17-year-old boy in Texas (rather than an 11-year-old girl in Montana): An overnight home invasion robbery attempt in northeast Harris County ended in a hail of gunfire that left two suspects dead.

Investigators said a 17-year-old was home with his cousin when four armed men kicked in the door and started shooting.

The teen pulled out a shotgun of his own and fired back at the suspects, killing two of them.
Going back almost twenty years to 1988, we did find a news story about an 11-year-old shooting and killing two home intruders, but again the finer details didn't quite match the example cited above: Switzer, S.C. — An 11-year-old boy who had been left alone after school shot and killed two men as they tried to steal a videocassette recorder from his family's home, police said.

William Todd Knight, the son of Billy and Ann Knight, "acted very wisely," said Spartanburg County Coroner Jim Burnett. "His life was in danger, he looked for an escape and could not find one ... he was a very brave young man."

Spartanburg County Sheriff's Department Capt. John Blackwood said the boy was watching cartoons in his parents' bedroom Monday afternoon when he heard noises at the front door of the family's brick, ranch-style home.

Todd told officers he was scared, so he went to his room for the .22-caliber rifle his father had given him for Christmas and loaded four rounds.

He then went to the front door and saw a man he described as "rough" pounding on the door. The man finally left in a white Datsun.

Todd said he resumed watching cartoons and about 10 minutes later heard banging, this time at a dining room window.

He saw two men climbing through the dining room window. The boy said he went into the bathroom to climb out the window, but saw the white Datsun was parked in the back yard.

Todd told police he went back to the hallway, peeked around the corner into the den and was spotted by one of the intruders as they were taking the VCR.

Todd then fired three rounds at the men, who dropped the VCR and fled.

When police arrived, one of the dead men was found face down next to a woodpile in the back yard, approximately 50 to 75 feet from the house, while the second man was in the driver's seat of the white two-door Datsun.
In October 2012, a 12-year-old Oklahoma girl shot (but did not kill) an unarmed burglar who broke into the house while she was home alone: Kendra St. Clair, 12, was at home alone in Oklahoma, when loud banging began on the door to her family's home. Soon, the glass shattered and an intruder had entered.

"I was scared and I didn't know what to do next," Kendra [said].

Petrified, she called her mom Debra.

"I said Kendra get the gun and go get in my closet now. And call 911."

The young 6th grader followed her mom's orders to the tee.

Kendra had taken shelter in a closet, clutching her mother's .40 caliber glock gun while she listened to the intruder make his way around her home.

Her fear intensified to sheer terror, when she saw the knob of the closet door beginning to turn.

At that point, that for the first time in her life, Kendra fired a gun.

Police said the bullet traveled straight through the closet door and struck 32-year-old Stacey Jones in the shoulder, scaring him out of the house.

They arrested him a few blocks away and charged Jones with first degree burglary.

So why is the liberal idea so much better than the conservative idea?

Because change is the only constant in the Universe! Being resistant to change is not a sustainable ideology; it's like trying to swim up a waterfall; it's contrary to the divine laws of nature; it's disrespectful of the Tao. This is a fact that conservatives just can't, or don't want to, understand. They are pretty shaky on most facts, as a matter of fact, but failing to grasp this one is their Big Mistake... the one from which all the rest of their stubborness and wrongness arises.

The conservative impulse was perhaps best summarized by the crown prince of modern conservatism, William F. Buckley, who proclaimed that conservatives "stand athwart history, yelling, 'Stop!'" Yes, indeed, they do... and, inevitably, predictably, they get flattened. History stops for nothing. Either get on board, or you will be left behind. And that's where conservatives so often find themselves... the train has left the station, and they are not on it. Or worse, they try to block the train and... splat!

You see, the human species could only develop by taking chances, by changing, by innovating, by adapting to new and different circumstances, and by constantly recreating itself... and through this process liberate ourselves from old ways of thinking that were stifling our evolution toward our greater potential. Humans are, in fact, evolution's superstars. Our greatest ability is not that we are bigger, faster, stronger, more ferocious than any other species. It's not even that we have higher intelligence (because that's a relatively new development). But for, oh, about a billion years, our lineage has been the grand-champion at adapting, changing, evolving.
So why is the liberal idea so much better than the... (show quote)

What a lot of clap-trap! The only things you missed are crystals and channeling. The Tao, the divine laws of nature, man the transcendent -- what hooey! There is no evolution without pressure, no one alters anything unless it is in response to external stimuli. We have always lived according to the rule 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it" .

As usual when liberals quote any remark it is taken out of context to make the speaker appear foolish. It is called Fraud. He was speaking about the need for a conservative magazine and was describing the role he envisaged for it.

"The launching of a conservative weekly journal of opinion in a country widely assumed to be a bastion of conservatism at first glance looks like a work of supererogation, rather like publishing a royalist weekly within the walls of Buckingham Palace. It is not that, of course; if National Review is superfluous, it is so for very different reasons: It stands athwart history, yelling Stop, at a time when no one is inclined to do so, or to have much patience with those who so urge it."

Your characterization of a line in the sand would imply that there were valid but different principles espoused by Liberals and Conservatives. The reality is that the liberal position is determined by a willingness to believe myths and fairy tales, an unwillingness to recognize reality. Liberals also have an intense need to castigate anyone, who disagrees with their positions, as evil, in whatever guise is suitable at the moment – racist -- homophobe – greedy plutocrat – war monger etc.

The conservatives, on the other hand, are more willing to recognize reality. It can be summarized as “There is no such thing as a free lunch”. Every benefit, which is “given” to you, comes at a cost. Whether it is dollars out of the pockets of wealth creators or loss of freedom, there will be a price to pay.

The Liberal’s demands come at a price, which Conservatives are unwilling to pay. Most of those demands are couched in the fairy tale ethos of ‘from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs’. In communist Russia there was a perpetual lack of food, clothing, and durable consumer goods because those who worked refused to supply the endless needs of those who didn’t. When modified capitalism returned, these items suddenly became plentiful. Reality intrudes again

Your equating of ‘working to put food on the table” with the ultimate sacrifice of our brothers, sisters, sons and daughters is so incredibly stupid that only a Liberal could have voiced this. Honor, fidelity, loyalty, and self-sacrifice are obviously concepts you are not familiar with. These soldiers are truly heroic, in defending all of our people, liberals and conservatives alike. Whether the war is just or unjust is not their responsibility, but ours. We elected the political leaders, who sent them into war.

No civilized person rejoices at deaths of other human beings, contrary to the dancing, in the streets, of Moslem cities on 9/11. The deaths of the individuals you mentioned were necessary because they made themselves enemies of our country, our flag, our people. They were not cause for celebration.

All of you Liberals seem to think that patriotism is somehow offensive. Again, there is no recognition of reality. Every rational person prefers himself to all others, his family above other families, his state and his country above all others. He gives his allegiance to that country and the symbol of that allegiance is his flag. It says “I am proud to be an American”.

The reasons for that allegiance are based on our Declaration of Independence, our Constitutional form of Government, our economic opportunities to prosper and our FREEDOM.

Madea's Solution: HTTPS://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcpPlF8DDfw (1 3/4 Min)

Several thoughts on these videos.

First, where are this girl’s parents? Why are they not controlling her rude, discourteous behavior? No such behavior of a child towards an adult ever occurred, in my family, when I was a child nor in my family of four children, of my own. They were taught early on that such behavior is unacceptable and that there would be immediate consequences for transgressions.

Second, where were the PC Police? This girl is engaging in “hate speech” and in addition, she is violating several of the speaker’s constitutional civil rights, free speech and right of assembly for starters. She should be arrested and tried as an adult because of the heinous nature of her behavior.

Medea’s solution, while being viscerally satisfying, would probably get any one attempting that in public a stint in jail as a child molester or abuser. In a better world her parents would remove her from public and administer whatever corrective action was needed in private. This not being a better world, it is likely that her vicious, uncivil, behavior was learned at home.
At the end of the day, it matters not at all what politicians and their parties SAY, especially during campaigns, it matters what they DO and we'll just have to wait and see. Many times in our history, a "victory" turned out to be an illusion. The people were unhappy and gave out a "victory", only to remain unhappy by the next elections - and we know what they'll do then.
Amen to that! All of these politicians need to realize that no one in their right mind trusts any of them. They must correct the current stupid policies, on illegal aliens, the economy, importation of potential plagues, and racial divisivness. There is a lack of recognition, in Washington, of who are our friends and who are our enemies, in other nations. It is also time to stop the lip service about Islam being a religion of peace. Moslems are peaceful only when they are outnumbered, when they become a majority they are totally intolerant, murderous thugs. Islam is not a religion, it is a political agenda

The Republicans now have an opportunity to start addressing these and other problems. They should be aware, that no one trusts them any more than Democrats, and that if they continue infighting and divisive politicking as usual, that all these issues will be ultimately be solved in the manner of the French Revolution. We need to erect a Guillotine near the Washington monument as a reminder of what will happen if they continue to play politics as usual.

Rick, you may be cynical and overly suspicious but I have to admit that the same thought crossed my mind. Particularly after it was revealed that she had received extensive 'Intelligence Training' from the CDC. Why does a healer need such training, and why was she so adamant that she was not at risk?
The Core Thesis: Authoritarian people have a stronger emotional need for an outlet like Fox, where they can find affirmation and escape factual challenges to their beliefs.
Insights from Chris Mooney’s book The Republican Brain: The Science of Why They Deny Science and Reality.

The name of this book establishes both the thesis and conclusion.

Definition of EMPIRICAL

1: Originating in or based on observation or experience <empirical data>

2: relying on experience or observation alone often without due regard for system and theory
<an empirical basis for the theory>

As far as the ignorance of the people being polled, there is no shortage of ignorance at both political extremes. The polls themselves are seldom unbiased, were any Liberals or Progressives subjected to the same polls. Do Libs and Progs watch anything other than NPR (National Communist radio), CNN etc.

As far as news sources lying to their readers/viewers, does anyone believe that any of these sources, no matter how exalted, tells the absolute truth even most of the time? In this electronic age even the old adage "seeing is believing" is not true. Information pulled out of context, whole events created or altered electronically, all are used to dupe the recipient of the information.

It is not surprising that viewers will watch the news programs that reflect their values and views. To accuse those programs of systematically lying, without proof, is nonsense. To accuse the viewers of ignorance because of those programs is plain stupidity.

As an empiricist, I prefer to observe the results of political actions and determine the motives of the politicians. In the days of Hercule Poirot it was "Cherchez La Femme", in these days it is "Follow the Money" and this book you cited is simply an attempt to pander to the prejudices of the Lib/Prog faction, most likely to acquire money.

Paul, I considered voting for Perot, not because he was qualified, or a good candidate, but because he had no chance of winning. The man was an idiot with qualifications on a par with Obama's. It was obvious that neither Bush nor Clinton should have been President. However, faced with a devil's choice I voted for Bush as the lesser of the evils.

This was one of many elections where I wished that there was a none of the above option. Ideally, if 10% of the popular vote went that way then the election should be declared null and void and new candidates selected.

Do you think that the Marines stationed at embassies are there to protect people? Here is a wake up call, they are there to protect and secure classified documents. The protection of the embassy falls to the host country.

There are many Liberals that hate President Reagan, when asked why, they will say that he was an actor. And when you ask why does that matter, they come back with comments about the First Lady. In other words, they read all the stuff that they are supposed to read and come to the conclusions they are supposed to come to. Barely any will go back and look at tax records, economic growth, or any other had data.

Income data from the U.S. Census Bureau and income tax data from the IRS reveal that, yes, the rich did get richer under Reagan, but so did the poor and the middle class.

Data from two periods, 1974-1981, mostly Carter years, and 1981-1988, the Reagan years, indicate the richest 5 percent of taxpayers' income's grew 38.6 percent under Reagan while the incomes for the lowest 50 percent grew 17.9 percent. The middle class, or the taxpayers in the middle 50-95 percent, saw their incomes rise 21.4 percent. While it is true that the rich got richer, so did the poor.

Also, the income tax of the richest 5 percent of taxpayers increased by 65 percent, to where they pay 45.6 percent of all income taxes. The income tax burden for the bottom 50 percent of taxpayers fell from 7.4 percent to 5.7 percent. Most revealing, between 1974 and 1981, income taxes for the poorest Americans increased by 24.2 percent. In the Reagan years, this group's burden fell 12.8 percent! The middle class saw its income tax burden fall from 57.2 percent under Carter to 48.7 percent under Reagan.

Wake up, liberals! The basic difference between Democrats and Republicans is that Democrats believe the government knows how best to spend your money and takes it. Republicans believe that you know how to spend your money, and lets you keep as much as possible.

And this I will give to you at no charge. You want to know why rich people are rich? It is simple, they have a budget, many do not buy on credit and when they do it is a planned purchase, and they know how to say no to themselves. Rich people accumulate things over time, and pay cash. Poor people keep up with the Jones and will buy a brand new car even if their existing car works fine. They run out for the new Apple IPads, IPods, and such even if it means putting it on a charge card. It is the interest charges that keep your debt level so high.
