When I first came to OPP I made some rather benign comments and it wasn't long before the attacks came. I didn't have to disagree to suffer attack. All I need do was fail to agree with someone.

I estimate that when the attacks came, 98% came from the left and continue in about the same percentage.

It was the left who drew the line in the sand. The left can now live with its decision.

My experience here is that liberals are vile nasty people who are terrified by any one in disagreement with them. It appears that few can do more than repeat bullet points and invent "facts" as needed. Very few get to the thinking stage in a given conversatiion.

I on the other hand pointed out to you just how wrong the article is, the evidence residing in the Library of Congress...the official, non-editorial repository for all congressional proceedings and a reference resource that I use heavily. You could have found this on your own had you wished to. You could also find that the failing of the VA has NOTHING to do with funding...but I think you don't want to see that.

When someone presents a plan that says how the vets will actually receive the lions share of the benefit of upwards of a trillion dollars, it will pass without opposition. Sadly it is not known widely enough that a simple white powder (finer than flour) can be used to take care of ticks and other pests. It is known as diatamaceous earth which, used alone is not poisonous but will do away with a pest problem. Although not poisonous to fish or mammals, it works by cutting into the body of any crawling pest by exposing it to drying out (from the inside). It is a silica-based compound. My comment can be used by those truly interested in protecting pets but I think of Sanders as the harmless-looking diatom powder that can be very effective but harmful to nothing but the intended pest.
