Sure looks that way, doesn't it?

Everyday, it seems, that some cop, some where is getting shot or killed.

According to Newsweek, up to June of this year:
"Of the 2017 total, 26 officers were killed in traffic accidents, 23 were killed by firearms and 16 died from other causes, including residual health problems related to the 9/11 attacks." Making 65 in total halfway through the year. Note that 23 died of firearm wounds and 26 died in traffic accidents, making it more likely that a police officer will die as a result of a traffic accident than a gunshot wound. Still, that approximates to about one a week. Of course, these things tend to go in 'spurts'.

DJRich wrote:
Of course, for gunnuts and nra types, having a gun, or access to a gun, is more important than a cops life.[sic]

Are you accusing my gun of being a cop-killer? Is that what you're saying? That my gun just up and killed some random cop? No, of course not, that would be a ridiculous accusation. Everybody knows guns don't just jump up and start firing at cops, right? Right? In that case, I can only assume that you are accusing me personally of these heinous crimes, with my gun as an accomplice. Is that what you're saying? That I somehow managed to clone myself and go off on a cop-killing spree? Wow. Just, Wow. Is there a molecule of logic, common sense or even just plain common decency left in that poor, overtaxed brain of yours? When was the last time you approached a question or problem without applying all of these preconceived biases and sick attitudes from the outset? Have you retained the ability of original thought at all; or are you simply operating on 'auto pilot' now?

The plain fact of the matter is you have no clue regarding the difference between gun ownership and criminal activity, do you? In your sick little world, "gunnuts" [sic"] and "nra types" [sic] (go back to school and learn to write) are tantamount to cop-killers simply by virtue of their rightful choice to own a gun. I find your ignorance astounding and your malice toward your fellow citizens worrisome, at best. For your information, I am a recipient of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Lifesaving Award; and a proud gun owner. By the way, cops carry guns too. By your logic, they should be disarmed 'for safety'. That's your aim, isn't it? You want to disarm law enforcement so the real crime spree can begin, don't you? Good luck with that and remember, there are plenty of us who are able to put a stop to such behavior, police in attendance or not.

Which brings me nicely to my next point about gun owners: They can be handy to have around. There are police officers walking around today who can thank armed citizens for saving their lives:

https://www.bing.com/search?q=Police+saved+by+armed+bystander&pc=MOZI&form=MOZSBR

That's right, snowflake. People with guns backing up people with guns. Now take your assumptions about what's more important to me or anyone else walking these streets with a gun in his or her holster and bugger off. We have better things to do than correct your insane mindset. You did it to yourself, now go fix it yourself.

You can start by reading these:

Let me know when you are finished. There will be a test.

Just your average run-of-the-mill midair collision. Apparently the victims are of no relation to the Rothschild name. Just an assumption, but it is normal to withhold the names of the victims in these accidents until the relatives have been notified. Oh, look. Here's a couple of names now!

The only effective solution to a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Simple, common-sense gun control that works would repeal all the restrictive laws and statutes that make it easier for murderers to find their target rich environments. Get rid of these ridiculous 'gun free zones', let people lawfully carry their firearms as they see fit and these killings will cease very quickly. As an added bonus, crime in general will be significantly reduced as criminals back off and leave the 'well-regulated militia' alone.

After 20 years of marriage, my wife told me to tie her to the bed and do whatever I want. So I did. I tied her to the bed and headed out to the local bar to watch the game. The divorce was finalized last Wednesday. During the divorce, she cited the time I locked her in the garage with our dog and went fishing for the day. All I was doing was checking to see which of them loved me more. The dog was very happy to see me when I opened the garage door; as for my (now ex-) wife, the doctor says I will probably always have a limp but the pain should subside over time. Clearly my ex-wife has anger issues...

It was totally unbelievable to me that the American electorate would put that 'thing' back in the White House for another four years after what we had witnessed in his first term. Poor Hillary. She just had to go up against a guy who cheats better than her. Praise the Lord.

Supersedes and precedes. Absolutely. Simply obeying those few laws will see the human race to a happy, prosperous place. It is a higher legal system than anything man-made, without a doubt.

Wow. That's a very long list of highly egregious crimes, many of them statutorily forbidden, including a whole lot of 'killing'. I think we should investigate these accusations thoroughly and send our findings to Congress for further action, up to and including impeachment, followed by a long string of criminal charges, if these allegations are proven true. So let's start from the beginning:

Airforceone wrote:
kill kids

We need names, times and places. Also, if we can find the bodies that will help a lot. So, start with the names. What were their names?

Airforceone wrote:
throw the elderly out of nursing homes

Need to know which nursing homes and specifically who was thrown out. If we can find the survivors now, all the better. Nothing sells copy better than an old war veteran telling how he was thrown out on the street by a cold, heartless despot.

Airforceone wrote:
Kill people at concerts

Again, we need names and addresses. We need to talk to the families, get their stories about the honor student who just went to the concert to unwind from a long, hard week of learning stuff.

Airforceone wrote:
kill people in elementary schools

When you say 'people', do you mean the children or just the adults? Or was it both? We need to know which school it was, who was killed and how to contact their relatives.

Airforceone wrote:
kill people at night clubs

Oh, snap! Were they at a gay nightclub? Or maybe one of those 'fetish' type places where they all whip each other? We need to know this stuff. Where were they, how many of them, what their sexual orientations were, the whole nine yards.

Airforceone wrote:

Meh. That's been tried before. Didn't work then, won't work now. Remember Bathhouse Barry? He tried to institute an all-black society with the same controls. Didn't work for him either. I wouldn't worry about that. Really, it's not happening.

Airforceone wrote:

Hey! Here I am offering to help you put this monster away for, like, forever, and all you can do is insult me. Not nice and not good. Number one, don't call me a racist. If you do, you'd better have a whole bag of good solid proof because I won't take it lying down. I spent the better part of the last decade being called a racist because I spoke up when the black Socialist-in-Chief tried to impose his pathetic agenda on me and the rest of my country. You know what, I've a good mind to deny climate change and allow coal users to dump there garbage with no regulations. How do you like them apples, huh? Fuck you, dickweed, and the horse you rode in on. Take your accusations and stick 'em where the sun don't shine. Worthless moron. Who do you think you are, eh?

1709: “If a liberal Education has formed in us well-regulated Appetites and worthy Inclinations.”

1714: “The practice of all well-regulated courts of justice in the world.”

1812: “The equation of time … is the adjustment of the difference of time as shown by a well-regulated clock and a true sun dial.”

1848: “A remissness for which I am sure every well-regulated person will blame the Mayor.”

1862: “It appeared to her well-regulated mind, like a clandestine proceeding.”

1894: “The newspaper, a never wanting adjunct to every well-regulated American embryo city.”

The phrase “well-regulated” was in common use long before 1789, and remained so for a century thereafter. It referred to the property of something being in proper working order. Something that was well-regulated was calibrated correctly, functioning as expected. Establishing government oversight of the people’s arms was not only not the intent in using the phrase in the 2nd amendment, it was precisely to render the government powerless to do so that the founders wrote it.

Bear that in mind when you hear the phrase 'common-sense gun control'. There is no such thing.

It ia a perfect example of the wealthy enriching themselves at the expense of the non wealthy. The rich get richer while everybody else sinks into poverty. This is unsustainable and will lead to severe problems in the not so distant future. The new tax plan is a perfect example of this trend. The tax break for the rich is permanent while the tax break for the middle class will fade to nothing in a few years.
2bitap, The super wealthy of this country are usin... (show quote)

You're describing the symptoms and not the underlying disease. For instance, you say that expenses are increasing. No argument here. But why are expenses increasing? What is it that causes prices and costs to escalate and deprive the poor working stiff of his hard-earned paycheck? If you dig all the way down to the bottom of this rotten deal, what do you find looking back at you? Inflation.

What creates inflation?

Inflation is the result of lax monetary policy. If the money supply grows by the introduction of new money, the unit value of the currency diminishes; in other words, its purchasing power falls and prices rise. This relationship between the money supply and the size of the economy is called the quantity theory of money, and is one of the oldest hypotheses in economics.

Who creates inflation?

Central banks control the rates of interest in a given economy and have the ability to inject money into an economy through government issue of bonds that are then 'monetized' using the ability to literally create money from nothing. Government issues the bond, the central bank credits the government with the face value of the bond, and government is free to spend this into the economy, thus expanding the money supply and reducing the value of money already in existence. Since the value of money decreases, prices increase to compensate. And that's how we 'observe' inflation. The rising prices are the symptom, not the cause.

How do we 'fix' it?

Repeal the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. No central banking system, no inflation.
