3/5ths of the States' legislatures moving to Repeal the 17th Amendment would be a good start in holding Senators accountable to their states. It was not the founders intent for Senators to be elected by popular vote for a reason. Senators are supposed to representing their state's interests. If the state legislatures chose the Senators to represent their state's interests then things would be very different. The State legislature's could then challenge the decision making by their selections.

However, since the precedence has been usurped you can rest assured that it will be used to further Obama's agenda which is to destroy the America we once had. Reid is a mind numbed puppet who will do whatever the establishment tells him to do. Do not be surprised if they use it on immigration to recapture the Hispanic vote . They are not interested in sealing the borders but only in passing something that will get that vote back on the democrat side. These people are corrupt down to the core .

After more than 43 years increasing the Federal deficits and the Federal budgets the Republicans majority in the U.S. House of Representatives have a concern about the Federal debts limited and shutdown President OBAMA Government who inherited the largest Federal deficit in U.S. history from a Republican administration, the economic catastrophe in WALL ST. and 2 wars in the middle east. The Republicans hypocrites demonstrated they are anti-social, anti-labor and a disgrace for the majority americans who struggle to survive.
