Get some rest. Most here are with you in spirit and wish ya'll God Speed in dealing with this disaster. Of course we have to deal with the typical leftists who hate everything and everyone who doesn't fall in direct lockstep with them.

Good luck Nella. Stay safe and know a ton of Prayers are surrounding all Texans tonight. Mike

Had a nap and trying to thank y'all now

A chunk of our OPP population doesn't care who lives or dies. All they care about is getting as much as they can for the least possible ellort. They politicize anything they think will help them. It doesn't matter to them what it does to you.

This is not a time for politics. It is a time for people to put things aside and work together.

Rest assured that in no way do they speak for the bulk of OPP or America. We are sending money and prayers and the next best thing we can do is stay out of the way and not impede the work there.

God be with you.

An article from the New York Post:

I do not understand how living in a country with its democracy established over 200 years ago, and now, for the first time in history, suddenly we have one of our former presidents set up a group called "Organizing for Action" (OFA).

OFA is 30,000+ strong and working to disrupt everything that our current president’s administration is trying to do. This organization goes against our Democracy, and it is an operation that will destroy our way of governing. It goes against our Constitution, our laws, and the processes established over 200 years ago. If it is allowed to proceed then we will be living in chaos very much like third world countries are run. What good is it to have an established government if it is not going to be respected and allowed to follow our laws?

If you had an army some 30,000 strong and a court system stacked over the decades with judges who would allow you to break the laws, how much damage could you do to a country? We are about to find out in America!

Our ex-president said he was going to stay involved through community organizing and speak out on the issues and that appears to be one post-administration promise he intends to keep. He has moved many of his administration's top dogs over to Organizing for Action.

OFA is behind the strategic and tactical implementation of the resistance to the Trump Administration that we are seeing across America, and politically active courts are providing the leverage for this revolution.

OFA is dedicated to organizing communities for "progressive" change. Its issues are gun control, socialist healthcare, abortion, sexual equality, climate change, and of course, immigration reform.

OFA members were propped up by the ex-president's message from the shadows: "Organizing is the building block of everything great we have accomplished Organizers around the country are fighting for change in their communities and OFA is one of the groups on the front lines. Commit to this work in 2017 and beyond."

OFA's website says it obtained its "digital" assets from the ex-president's re-election effort and that he inspired the movement. In short, it is the shadow government organization aimed at resisting and tearing down the Constitutional Republic we know as AMERICA

Paul Sperry, writing for the New York Post, says, “The OFA will fight President Donald Trump at every turn of his presidency and the ex-president will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House."

Sperry writes that, “The ex-president is setting up a shadow government to sabotage the Trump administration through a network of non-profits led by OFA, which is growing its war chest (more than $40 million) and has some 250 offices nationwide. The OFA IRS filings, according to Sperry, indicate that the OFA has 32,525 (and growing) volunteers nationwide. The ex-president and his wife will oversee the operation from their home/ office in Washington DC.

Think about how this works. For example: Trump issues an immigration executive order; the OFA signals for protests and statements from pro-immigrant groups; the ACLU lawyers file lawsuits in jurisdictions where activist judges obstruct the laws; volunteers are called to protest at airports and Congressional town hall meetings; the leftist media springs to action in support of these activities; the twitter sphere lights up with social media; and violence follows. All of this happens from the ex-president's signal that he is heartened by the protests.

If Barack Obama did not do enough to destroy this country in the 8 years he was in office, it appears his future plans are to destroy the foundation on which this country has operated on for the last 241 years.

If this does not scare you, then we are in worse trouble than you know.

So, do your part. You have read it, so at least pass this on so others will know what we are up against. We are losing our country and we are so compliant. We are becoming a "PERFECT TARGET" for our enemy!

I've gotten warm and dry for a bit this early evening and stopped by to see where y'all are on this.
I replied to TexaCan for a heart felt statement on this event and opened PRs topic.
I'm tired, getting fed and just exhausted, but some of you can't help yourselves taking some childish credit for bashing President Trump when he's just like me. New to this event and learning. None of you or your heros have any experience with an event of this magnitude. Why put your bullshit pictures and propaganda out here about us and Trump and while we're still rescuing people. As I posted earlier, get your lazy keyboard jockey ass in gear and do something constructive.
We've only got a trillion gallons of water to deal with. The weather channel had to create a new color for our rainfall totals. You could have helped with that!
I'm about to delete OPP since I'm not going to have time to deal with it, I'm sure some will cheer that. Some things shouldn't be political and this is one, OPPers.
We've got oil tanks at Exxon in Baytown collapsing, generators shutting down at a plant in Crosby causing evacuations. They make peroxide that will ignite organic material like clothes, shoes and flesh.

All of you here are such geniuses about everything! Create topics about how we keep our levees intact that we're built in 1949 by the Army Corps of Engineers. Help our efforts to improve, we've had bridges collapse, roadways washed out. No one thought this far ahead, why aren't you brilliant minded people working to improve our country and communities.

I'm worn smooth out and just want to see us help each other. I'm just not going to tolerate bickering much longer. Getting older and time is more precious.

Sending my love and prayers to all

I guess it won't matter what I say, please leave us out of any political banter until we assesss the damage. There's so much going on and most of us at ground zero just want to help our neighbors. If Obama said something good, good! We appreciate his support.
Understand that we've had the quickest federal government response in history, meaning President Trump. Not awarding points to anyone but he was here today and we're not out of the woods yet.
All the armchair quarterbacks out there behind there monitors and keyboards can say what they want but haven't lived any of this.
It's sad that lots of you criticize Trump and make this shit political. Why not get your asses in gear and help us out! I've been all over country repairing your power lines when any of you needed it.

I'm so glad you're still OK! My heart is absolutely breaking for my beloved Texans! I'm watching the weather channel and the ongoing rescues! There's a couple that is stranded on the State route 99, the lady is on top of the hood of the truck and the water will soon be over the top. The picture is from a traffic camera. I'm supposing someone is on their way to rescue them. Be safe! You are constantly in our prayers!! Thank you for keeping us informed. 🙏🏻

Thanks so much TexaCan

I'm still getting rain in La Porte, Houston and many of our neighbors are still experiencing flood conditions. It's definitely heart breaking to watch this unfold, millions of people affected. The needs of so many are being met surprisingly, lots of donation from the nation are flowing in and timely to.
We have dams and levees over flowing but holding for now. One on the Brazos river let go flooding a newer development. All residents have had to leave. We lost an HPD officer to flood waters, doing what he loved, serving the public.
We really appreciate all the thoughts and prayers from everyone.
It's really cool that no one cares who is what color, how they vote or where they're from, just a massive citizen effort to help our fellow man.
Again, thanks

We're still holding our own in La Porte but South and Southeast Texas is devastated. The drone video of Rockport, Houston and Dickensen is just heart wrenching. The news channel is broadcasting from 59@Tidwell where coast guard and the mining trucks are rescuing folks there.
The rain is picking up again here, praying for all our neighbors, fellow Texans.

The member that goes by the name Nella is from La Porte which is about 25 miles from Houston. Does anyone know how he is? There's not much information on La Porte's condition. He last posted on Friday afternoon.

We are still above water here, we've seen the streets flood into the lawns but we're dry. Thanks for asking Texacan.
We had a couple close calls with tornados during the early morning. Pasadena, South Houston and the Scarsdale area have been hit hard, I-45, 288 look like rivers with highway signs across them.
I just read that we've exceeded tropical storm Allison in 2-3 days that took her 5 days to do.
KTRH just stated that this is the largest flooding event in US history.
This thing is going to be around all week so I'll post updates as we go.
I hope all OPPers are safe and well, thanks again for your concern
