I've gotten warm and dry for a bit this early evening and stopped by to see where y'all are on this.
I replied to TexaCan for a heart felt statement on this event and opened PRs topic.
I'm tired, getting fed and just exhausted, but some of you can't help yourselves taking some childish credit for bashing President Trump when he's just like me. New to this event and learning. None of you or your heros have any experience with an event of this magnitude. Why put your bullshit pictures and propaganda out here about us and Trump and while we're still rescuing people. As I posted earlier, get your lazy keyboard jockey ass in gear and do something constructive.
We've only got a trillion gallons of water to deal with. The weather channel had to create a new color for our rainfall totals. You could have helped with that!
I'm about to delete OPP since I'm not going to have time to deal with it, I'm sure some will cheer that. Some things shouldn't be political and this is one, OPPers.
We've got oil tanks at Exxon in Baytown collapsing, generators shutting down at a plant in Crosby causing evacuations. They make peroxide that will ignite organic material like clothes, shoes and flesh.
All of you here are such geniuses about everything! Create topics about how we keep our levees intact that we're built in 1949 by the Army Corps of Engineers. Help our efforts to improve, we've had bridges collapse, roadways washed out. No one thought this far ahead, why aren't you brilliant minded people working to improve our country and communities.
I'm worn smooth out and just want to see us help each other. I'm just not going to tolerate bickering much longer. Getting older and time is more precious.
Sending my love and prayers to all

A chunk of our OPP population doesn't care who lives or dies. All they care about is getting as much as they can for the least possible ellort. They politicize anything they think will help them. It doesn't matter to them what it does to you.
This is not a time for politics. It is a time for people to put things aside and work together.
Rest assured that in no way do they speak for the bulk of OPP or America. We are sending money and prayers and the next best thing we can do is stay out of the way and not impede the work there.
God be with you.
Get some rest. Most here are with you in spirit and wish ya'll God Speed in dealing with this disaster. Of course we have to deal with the typical leftists who hate everything and everyone who doesn't fall in direct lockstep with them.
Good luck Nella. Stay safe and know a ton of Prayers are surrounding all Texans tonight. Mike

I am humbled by everyone's support
You are and always will be in our hearts and prayers. I know that the future seems uncertain and you are working your behind off trying to save what and who you can.
But, don't lose hope or faith. Help is on its way. Do not forget yourself, be sure to eat and sleep when you are able.

Nella, don't spend energy thanking anyone. A saying comes to mind.
There, but for the grace of God, go I.
It is impossible for any normal person to not feel his/her heart go out to all those affected by this incredible event.
Know in your heart that we love and cherish you all, and our prayers are with you where ever you go.
Get rest, stay safe, and keep looking up.
