Kevyn,
None of the AHoles above know anything about real love of country. All they know is how to call names and repeat the Trump/Barren self-serving lies fed to them by the Kochs, the NRA, and the Russians. If there are any of these uneducated, so-called Patriots who served in Korea 66 years ago as I did, I'd be willing to have a civil conversation over a RobRoy, but I'll bet there are damn few takers.

I DO love this country, MalG, and I am replying to your response to Kevyn on a personal level. No, I did not serve in Korea. My allegiance to America comes from the devotion of my Italian immigrant grandparents and my deceased husband, who served aboard the Hazelwood during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Nothing in my post was deceptive. What Obama said and did, and didn't do, was the truth. You may not want to agree, but that's your opinion; it is not mine. You accuse Trump, Koch, the NRA and the Russians and, I assume, all Republicans/Conservatives, of being *holes and uneducated; then you suggest a "civil" conversation. That is certainly an odd way of making a request. If you wish to have a "civil" discourse with someone, it is not exactly the wisest thing to use expletives and insults in doing so - people may consider you rude and uneducated.
Whether Trump was the right choice or not was an enigma. This was his first election. Hillary, on the other hand, was a seasoned politician - She was a former U.S. Senator, the 67th U.S. Secretary of State, the Former First Lady of the U.S., the former First Lady of Arkansas, and she served on the House Judiciary Committee. So it is incredulous that the woman was too clueless to recognize a "Classified Marking" in an email or too incompetent to handle two email accounts at once!! I can't understand how any military man or woman could vote for her. The email scandal alone, in which she compromised National Security by using an UNSECURED SERVER, put our soldiers at additional risk. Her Benghazi lies and dismissiveness did not exactly endear her to our best and bravest.
Hillary's "empathetic" answer to the allegation of "widespread" problems with the VA: "There have been a number of surveys of veterans," Hillary argued, "and overall, veterans who do get treated, are SATISFIED with their treatments. Now, nobody would believe that from the coverage that you see, and the constant berating of the VA that comes FROM THE REPUBLICANS, IN PART IN PURSUIT OF THIS IDEOLOGICAL AGENDA THAT THEY HAVE." (SURE, HILLARY - THE REPUBLICAN AGENDA IS TO CALL OUR VETERANS "LIARS" BECAUSE THEY WERE REALLY RECEIVING EXEMPLARY CARE DURING HER DAYS AS SOS!! THEN WHY, HILLARY, WHY WERE THERE 20 VETERAN SUICIDES A DAY - YES, A DAY!!!). THAT IS HILLARY'S IDEOLOGY - TO CALL VICTIMS' FAMILIES "LIARS" - AS SHE ACCUSED THE FAMILIES OF BENGHAZI!!)
How typical of her. Instead of investigating the suicide rate of our military, her response was completely "political" - it's a "vast right wing conspiracy." (She didn't even wait a day to commiserate with the victims of the mass shooting in Vegas, before she started pontificating about Gun Control.) In the VA's first public posting of adverse actions against employees, terminations, suspensions and demotions, showed that the department fired 525 staffers from Jan. 20, when President Trump took office, through July 3.
President Trump was in office a mere four months when he addressed the chronic problems in the VA by signing a bill that extends stopgap services for veterans to go outside the VA medical system for care.
Six months in office and President Trump signed a bill into law that would expedite the process for top officials to fire problematic employees at the long-troubled U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. “Our wounded warriors have given everything they have to this nation and we owe them everything we have in return.” (BRAVO, MR. PRESIDENT!!)
The bill was designed as a response to a series of scandals at the government’s second-largest agency, including a 2014 incident where VA employees created secret lists to cover up long wait times for appointments. Critics said VETERANS HAVE DIED WAITING FOR CARE and that a few bad workers have been fired for misconduct. The first public posting of adverse actions against employees-- terminations, suspensions and demotions--showed that the VA department fired 525 staffers from Jan. 20, when President Trump took office, through July 3.
You can cling steadfastly to your Dem/Liberal ideas, MalG despite what I have posted. That's your choice and you fought for the right to it. And so, I thank you for the service you rendered our country. That is something that should never be dismissed or forgotten.
