In court, sure, why not.

Women who have been abused as children develop a kind of radar for the experienced predators who also have a well developed instinct for choosing weak members of the "herd" for prey.

We can tell. We know. We smell it on you from afar. We need no Court to tell us what we know. We also know from experience no one else wants it to be true and that they will struggle to find a way not to believe it and succeed. We are on our own.

But we recognize you instantly by the way the hairs on or arms stand up and the backs of our necks itch and our tummies get a cold lump in them. We look up and yup! There is your face, too close for comfort, with that same creepy grin.

And we KNOW. Even if we have never seen you before...

We have our ways.

My Brother was accused of "fathering" a child when he was only 15 and the Girl was 27. It did not hold water as our Father was not easy to let someone just make the accusations, and after a healthy dose of investigation, my Brother was cleared as the Girl admitted she lied merely due to our family had big money.

It seems right now to be a "FAD" for women to make accusations, some merely for their 10 minutes of fame in the news. Take note also the POLITICAL factors involved....one too many democrats crying rape for me to believe any of them...as we now know, democrats are liars unlike any other liar!!!!!!!!

I have, and still do work with rape victims. I can not emphasize with them, but I sure have sympathy for them. One does not need to experience abuse to have compassion.

Now on the other hand, do you recall the many law suites filed in the 1980s and early 1990s by people claiming they were abused as children? Well if you do, you may recall that many of them "learned" of the abuse through therapy. Many of those claims turned out to be untrue. Therapist were making suggestions that became replacement memories. Families were torn apart because of this. So, I got interested in developmental psychology and took every course offered at the University.

The mind is remarkable, when you are deeply traumatized at an early age, the mind normally blanks it out, builds a wall to protect the psyche. The abused may develop an irrational fear of small spaces, elevators, and I know of one woman who had a fear of kitchens while many abused children will completely change in personality they will become an intervert or develop an "nervous" personality. When you are 3 years old, the mind constructs defenses and the one defense the mind constructs is called traumatic amnesia. The younger the child, say a 3 year old, the more predominant this becomes. Dr. N.G. Berrill, a forensic psychologist is quoted: "There would be the possibility of some kind of memory (of the incident) but not necessarily the kind of memories we talk about." So, a 3 year old would not remember the details, but would recall the sensations of the act... not the rape or exact words the attacker used, but remember being afraid. Again, I quote Dr. Berrill: "Developmentally, the younger you are the less you remember well or accurately. Kids remember sensory memories -- they don't have memories that are coherent like XYZ occurred, but they remember that they felt a lot of tension or fear." He is not the only one that makes such claims, I use him as a source because he is still a renowned forensic psychologist who works with the abused children.

So, again this may have happened.... but, I have my doubts and it is not because I do not think that 3 year olds are molested or abused, it is simply because of the way the mind works.

Why would a woman wait to confront her accuser? Personal reasons, maybe.

I waited 40 years. My accuser, the preachers youngest son and my fathers youngest brother told me my father could never love me if he knew I was a whore now. I believed him. I was three years old. My mom said as she helped me wash blood from my training pants, we won't tell Daddy. Big eyes! I know now she feared fratricide.

I waited fourty years until he was dead so he wouldn't stop loving me. Logically I knew better but my tongue would never move when I tried to tell anyone. Last year at my mothers funeral, he kept trying to get me to give him a hug. I gently declined. In his seventies. Lives alone. Sick I hear. His daughter refuses contact. Justice is served.


I keep previewing this post, wondering how it will change how I am viewed by those who know me, and how reading this will shape the view of those who dont know me.

I wonder how many of our OPP boys and girls have similar secrets.

I have to say, I stand corrected, "Army Slang". I get so tired of opening a post that looks to be a real dialog. Only to read another attempt to destroy all that I believe in. Thank each and everyone of you that have asked me to stay. Since my Dear Angel is in heaven now, I have to pray and ask what to do. I'm an old Fart PLT Sarge. Well last week the fiscal conservative passed there Budget. Wowwwwwwww the budget included a $485 Billion Deficit. Now that’s fiscal conservatism at its best.

Now instead of creating a tax increase to Cover there Spending. They go after wealthy tax cuts that add another $1.5 trillion to the deficit.

What happened to these tea party folks that ran as republicans that wanted to balance the budget and cut the deficit. I guess these deficit hawks fell asleep.

Now the Republicans have had control of the House of Representatives for the last 7 years. They control all spending, they create budgets. So for the most part democrats have been left out of the process because republicans have had 100% control over congress. Over the last 7 years the republicans have created Budgets that added $5.85 trillion to the deficit and blamed it on Obama. That does not include the cost of Iraq/Afghanistan War.

Now here you go again living by the new Republican agenda of borrow and spend. Give me the democrat agenda of tax and spend.

We have plenty of problems in Michigan. The water in Flint is still pretty shady. The school systems are a mess after years of Republican efforts to defund them while stearing tax dollars, by way of charter schools, to their rich friends who can donate to their PACs. Roads are in pretty bad shape because of the Republicans continued insistence on the magical effects of the proven failed theory of trickle down economics.

Yep, Michigan has plenty of problems, not the least of which was telling our electors to cast their ballots in favor of the least qualified person in the entire history of the world to lead our nation. And no, that is not meant as hyperbolic rhetoric.

Muslim problem? Not really sure what you mean. Most of the Muslims I know are pretty nice. They don't come around, knocking on my door trying to sell me on their version of their invisible sky-daddy, unlike so many Christians do. So that's pretty sweet. I had a number of Muslim students while teaching. They were always very respectful and turned their classwork and homework in on time. Which is a totally underrated attribute of students.

No, I can't really say there are any real Muslim problems in Michigan. Unless you are talking about the problems with stupid people who are trying to make it sound like there is a Muslim problem. Then yes, we do have an idiot problem.
