First Lady Michelle Obama has a message for African-American voters –

Stop thinking, vote straight Democrat… and then go get some fried chicken.

I kid you not.

Mrs. Obama was on TV One (a network whose motto is “Where Black Life Unfolds”) speaking to host (and CNN contributor) Roland Martin when she told African-Americans what they should be doing.

“And that’s my message to voters, this isn’t about Barack, it’s not about person on that ballot– it’s about you. And for most of the people we are talking to, a Democratic ticket is the clear ticket that we should be voting on, regardless of who said what or did this– that shouldn’t even come into the equation.”

Then later in the interview (around 7:15 in the clip) Martin wonders, “So can we, if we go out to the polls, can we, say, we have a souls to polls on Sunday, can we do soul food after we vote?”

To which the First Lady responds, “Absolutely. I give everyone full permission to eat some fried chicken after they vote. Only after, if you haven’t voted… You make a good point. Because I am, I do talk about health. But I think that a good victory for Democrats on Tuesday, you know, should be rewarded with some fried chicken.”

Can you imagine if any of these words were uttered by a Republican? A Republican of any race would never hear the end of it. They’d be told that they were “feeding racial stereotyping” or “propagating a system which continues to oppress African-Americans” or worse… they’d simply be called “Uncle Tom” or “racist.”

Ain't that some mess. What gets me the most is that she thinks she has to give people permission.

hod over him if we allow him to. Just listening to part of what he had to say, and then listening to what Obama said before I got too sick to handle any more of his usual BS is proof to me that we must not give McConnell any free rein to make any deals with Obama. Has people forgotten that it was McConnell that helped sell Ted Cruz out after he had spent so many hours fighting the funding of Obamacare? And now he stated in his speech and questioning after that he was planning to work with the Democrats whereas the Democrats did everything possible to thwart everything Republicans tried to do to cut unemployment. Out of over 350 bills submitted to the Senate, there was not one that was even voted on by the Senate. They were all shelved without being voted on. So now RINO McConnell is saying he will "work" with Democrats? After listening to part of Obama's BS I felt that he was merely telling McConnell what he expected him to do and he would accept nothing else. So I believe we must keep a close watch on McConnell's actions in the future to thwart any more deals with the crooked Democrats. We have made great progress in taking back the Senate and boosting the House so greatly to allow "Old Tortoise Neck" to sell us out.

Does anyone else feel this way about what was said between Obama and McConnell?

I absolutely feel that way. It's a shame.
What a sorry leader. He will negate all we fought so hard to get control of the Congress. Maybe Ted Cruz can find something that we can use to get rid of him.
I'm afraid he is in bed with the dems.

For those, like myself, that had to look for the words to this little Irish drinking song....as I do not frequent such places, here you go:

As I went home on Monday night as drunk as drunk could be
I saw a horse outside the door where my old horse should be
Well, I called me wife and I said to her: Will you kindly tell to me
Who owns that horse outside the door where my old horse should be?

Ah, you're drunk, you're drunk you silly old fool,
So drunk you can not see
That's a lovely sow that me mother sent to me
Well, it's many a day I've travelled a hundred miles or more
But a saddle on a sow sure I never saw before

And as I went home on Tuesday night as drunk as drunk could be
I saw a coat behind the door where my old coat should be
Well, I called me wife and I said to her: Will you kindly tell to me
Who owns that coat behind the door where my old coat should be

Ah, you're drunk, you're drunk you silly old fool,
So drunk you can not see
That's a wool blanket that me mother sent to me
Well, it's many a day I've travelled a hundred miles or more
But buttons in a blanket sure I never saw before

And as I went home on Wednesday night as drunk as drunk could be
I saw a pipe up on the chair where my old pipe should be
Well, I called me wife and I said to her: Will you kindly tell to me
Who owns that pipe up on the chair where my old pipe should be

Ah, you're drunk, you're drunk you silly old fool,
So drunk you can not see
That's a lovely tin whistle that me mother sent to me
Well, it's many a day I've travelled a hundred miles or more
But tobacco in a tin whistle sure I never saw before

And as I went home on Thursday night as drunk as drunk could be
I saw two boots beneath the bed where my old boots should be
Well, I called me wife and I said to her: Will you kindly tell to me
Who owns them boots beneath the bed where my old boots should be

Ah, you're drunk, you're drunk you silly old fool,
So drunk you can not see
They're two lovely Geranium pots me mother sent to me
Well, it's many a day I've travelled a hundred miles or more
But laces in Geranium pots I never saw before

And as I went home on Friday night as drunk as drunk could be
I saw a head upon the bed where my old head should be
Well, I called me wife and I said to her: Will you kindly tell to me
Who owns that head upon the bed where my old head should be

Ah, you're drunk, you're drunk you silly old fool,
So drunk you can not see
That's a baby boy that me mother sent to me
Well, it's many a day I've travelled a hundred miles or more
But a baby boy with his whiskers on sure I never saw before

And as I went home on Saturday night as drunk as drunk could be
I saw two hands upon her breasts where my old hands should be
Well, I called me wife and I said to her: Will you kindly tell to me
Who owns them hands upon your breasts where my old hands should be

Ah, you're drunk, you're drunk you silly old fool,
So drunk you can not see
That's a lovely night gown that me mother sent to me
Well, it's many a day I've travelled a hundred miles or more
But fingers in a night gown sure I never saw before

As I went home on Sunday night as drunk as drunk could be
I saw a lad sneaking out the back, a quarter after three.
Well, I called me wife and I said to her: Will you kindly tell to me
Who was that lad sneaking out the back a quarter after three?

Ah, you're drunk, you're drunk you silly old fool,
So drunk you can not see
That was just the tax man that the Queen she sent to me.
Well, it's many a day I've travelled a hundred miles or more
But an Englishman who can last till three I've never seen before

And this makes me question....would there been a man running from the house if the drunkard had not been out drinking every night.

I was admiring your knowledge of the song. It's old and good. Something fun to sing with my adult child.
Must have missed the point. Of course, we always end the last verse with
I saw me wife in bed alone, and then she says to me
Never on Sunday

Dennisdee, please remember that Michelle Bachman is one of the first and most vocal Tea Party advocates.
She is not running for the senate this year.
Reckon that might be because she has been beaten down by so many and I admire her for standing strong.
She will so much enjoy her time now with her family, which consists of more foster/thrown away children than her own flesh and blood.

She is walking the walk, not talking the talk.

I can't believe that I actually read your post twice. I thought I was misunderstanding something.
Bruce, this is a nation with a first amendment that gives us free speech. So I will respect your right to freely voice your opinion.
Maybe I don't know everything that the Tea Party states, but I do know it was founded on "Taxed Enough Already".
The Tea Party I know WILL NOT stand for abortion and big government. It is only right to stand firm on basic principles.
When one is sure of his convictions, it doesn't matter who or what stands against him.
God loves you and me. It took a very long time for Him to soften my heart. I pray that you will let Him have a way in your life too.

Did they maybe get those slaves from African slave owners whose descendents are still carrying on the tradition?
Genital mutilation comes to mind among the other horrors that they inflict on the weak.
So, Bruce, if I choose not to be politically correct and not call the generations who were born in America "African Americans", yet they feel they deserve reparations, then I'll work harder to buy a few of them tickets back there....starting with the Kenyan -in-chief.
Just being born of a darker skin color should not be reason for expecting entitlements. Or getting them.

It's pea-picking. And yes, we eat peas, and beans and rice because although we work as much as we can, big brother takes 25% of our paychecks.
Don't get SNAP for meat, or anything else, for that matter.

However, they could if :
#1) Their family gave a rat's behind about their well-being.
#2) They strove to better themselves and stop being hateful on a race bias.
#3) Aspire to a higher level than they are brought up to believe that they can be.
Ignorance breeds ignorance.

Dr. Ben Carson was brought up by a mother who dared...DARED to teach her son discipline and values.

Don't forget that the slaves who were brought to America were sold by Their slave masters in Africa.
The Africans who STILL practice slavery in the worst form.
Our public schools have done a great injustice to education by not telling the entire story.
P.C. hogwash.
